Almeria

A hidden paradise blessed with pristine white beaches and breathtaking waterfalls, Almeria is the perfect place for you and your family to visit. Legend has it that the town Almeria was once called Bagongbong, named by its first inhabitants that hailed from Bohol. Apparently, they found the place by accident and decided to stay because of its fertile soil and clear water. But when a Spanish missionary discovered the island, he later renamed it to Almeria, after his hometown in Spain.

This place is a great escapade for you and your friends. You can watch the sunset together, have a quiet, undisturbed stroll along the beach, and swim in its clear waters.

The town is small, having only a little bit over 16,000 as their total number of inhabitants. This tiny municipality has more to offer, however. It is also home to the first scuba resort in all of the province. The Agta Beach Resort is the ideal place for scuba divers and beach bums alike. It not only offers scuba diving lessons but also kayak rentals. And you don’t have to burn a hole in your wallet to go on an adventure in this place either! All you need is a reasonable amount of cash and you’re good to go!

The island of Almeria is blessed with gorgeous beaches and beautiful tranquil waters that make you want to soak in the water until the sun goes down.
