The town is famous for the Pahiyas Festival where they decorate their houses with an array of colors and celebrate it with delicious food every 15th of May, in honor of San Isidro Labrador. Filipinos from all over the country flock to the province just to see the festivities in Lucban. However, if your visit doesn’t fall on this day, don’t worry! Lucban has several ancient churches and religious structures you can visit.

The first place you should visit is the most famous landmark in Lucban, the Kamay ni Hesus Shrine (Hands of Jesus). Going to the shrine has had many of the Catholic devotees swear that visiting the area is a spiritual experience. There is a hike to get to the shrine, but it is incredibly worth it. Other churches in town include, Lucban Church, where the procession for the Pahiyas Festival begins, San Isidro Labrador Parish Church, which is famous for its colorful decorations, and the San Luis Obispo de Tolosa Parish Church.

After your religious pilgrimage all over town, it would be best to go on a small food trip in Lucban. A place famous for their longganisang (Filipino sausage) Lucban, among others. Mustiola’s is definitely a must try(ola’s! Get it?)! It’s located in this ancestral home giving it a little rustic feel that makes the entire dining experience unique. Other specialty eateries include, Cafe San Luis, Old Center Panciteria, and Abcede’s Resto! And if you have a sweet tooth, you should give Dealo Koffee Klatch a try! Their specialty are desserts so they got you covered.

But if you want to take a little break and forget about the stress, and perhaps try to relieve your aching feet after all the walking, go to Aliw Falls. It’s Lucban’s very own secret hideaway where you can just soak and unwind for a while.

Lucban, Quezon allows you to get in touch with your spiritual side, and it also gives you the opportunity to explore the delicious local cuisine.
