Pili is a municipality in the province of Camarines Sur, in the Bicol Region of the Philippines. It is one of the towns that comprise the metropolitan area of Naga, due to its strides in agricultural and industrial development.

An old nickname for the town (since around the 1980’s) is “Bicol’s Sweetheart”, due to its sugarcane plantations, such as the Penafrancia Sugar Mill at the barrio of Himaao.

Its namesake nut is commercially produced throughout the Bicol Region. Pili nuts, from a specific plant endemic to the tropics (canarium ovatum), are customarily roasted and glazed with sugar. This delicious snack has become a highly popular souvenir that tourists and locals alike search for in this area.

This municipality is known for its impressive waterfall circuit, eight of which can be found in Mount Isarog National Park alone, which is located at the eastern part of town. You will need to do a fair amount of hiking to reach the falls, but among them are the captivating Tinagrawan Falls (Tinangis), Curry Slide Falls, and Balang Falls.

If hiking and waterfalls still do not satiate your thirst for adventure, you could opt to visit the Camsur Watersports Complex at Cadlan. As its name suggests, this water park is especially designed for water sports such as waterskating, wakeboarding and water skiing.
