Beach, beach, and more beach! Real, Quezon, being one of the coastal towns in the country, is obviously graced with dozens of beaches. Visitors from all over the country visit this small town to go surfing or just relax by the shore. But you know what, that’s not the only thing you can find in this town.
There are several outdoor activities you can do. You just have to be creative. From trekking, to kayaking, to swimming, Real is keeping it real! Real is known for the Pacific Recreation Kamp where you and a couple of friends can go camping. You can lie down under the stars or sing around the campfire with your best friends. The resort also offers a variety of activities, like surfing.
You can also go river rafting in this town! And they don’t use the usual yellow or orange rafts, either. Unique to the Philippines, the Real river rafting guides use a makeshift boat out of inflatable tire tubes and bamboo sticks. This makes the adventure even more thrilling. The course also lasts for a good two hours so you have ample time to enjoy the river’s scenery.
Also, you can hike to the waterfalls. The Nonok Waterfalls, a little far off from the town proper, is a popular swimming hole for the locals. Adrenaline junkies like to jump off a 15-feet (4.5 meters) high cliff down into a deep pool. There are other falls to visit, as well. There’s the Balagbag Falls, which is covered with lush greenery and the Cawayan Falls which is a little far off and requires a longer trek to get to.
Other than those adventures, another one you can take is the foodie kind! Real, Quezon has delicacies that will make your tummy full and your heart scream for joy. So, why not take the leap and visit this town?
