Trece Martires

Trece Martires is a city rich in culture and history, named after the Thirteen Martyrs of Cavite. These thirteen martyrs are known in Philippine history because they rebelled against the Spanish government and were eventually executed by the Spaniards in September 1896.

Trece Martires, the former capital of the province, is a city bustling with activity today. Many schools, hospitals, commercial establishments, businesses, and local government offices are located here. Trece Martires also has 13 barangays: Cabezas, Cabuco, De Ocampo, Lallana, San Agustin, Osorio, Conchu, Perez, Aguado, Gregorio, Inocencio, Lapidario, and Luciano. These are the names of the thirteen martyrs that the city was named after. You may also want to visit the statues of these martyrs, located just in front of the Trece Martires Municipal Hall.

Looking at Trece Martires on a map, you will find that it is located right at the center of the Cavite province. Although it is no longer the provincial capital, it is still a place rich in history and is currently a thriving city. It is also noted for its cleanliness and for being a gambling-free area.
