Tim Ho Wan

Because of his very busy schedule, P and I decided to unwind after his Friday class at Megamall. We wanted to try Tim Ho Wan especially their much talked pork buns.

When we got there (we were there I think about 2pm), the line was quite long but it only took us less than 15 minutes to fall in line.

Sorry I didn't take a photo of what we've ordered since we were really hungry that time. Hehehe. 128517

We've ordered 2 orders of pork bun (145php for 3 pork buns), spicy spareribs in black bean sauce (160php from what I remembered) and egg white spring rolls (120php). We both liked the pork buns!!! It was crusty and savory and with the right amount of sweetness. The pork buns were quite small though. Akala ko malaki siya kasi ganun yung sa pictures but medyo maliit pala. Hahahaha. 128517 The spareribs were so-so. P liked the egg white spring rolls but for me it was okay lang. Hihi.

The place looks too crowded though. Bawal ang claustrophobic! 128561 haha kidding. The service was quite slow (it took us 3-5 times requesting for water refill). Yet they served the food in less than 10 minutes so okay lang din. Hehe. 128522

Anyway, it was quite pricey for us (the serving is good for 1 person lang actually). And we thought it's a place to go for meriendas and not a place na gusto mo magpakabusog. Haha.

The pork buns were heavenly. We'd visit again for their pork buns. 128077

Coffee Belle

Coffee

This happened I think 2 to 3 months ago so this review is long overdue. Haha.

P and I were looking for some place to have coffee and since Coffee Belle's near and we would like to give it a try, we decided to stay in for quite some time before my class starts.

I ordered Almond something frappe (I forgot it already hah) and a cheesecake. Price range of their coffees is if I remember correctly was 100-180php. I didn't like the Almond frappe though. And I didn't finish it so I gave it to P na lang. Hehe.

But what I liked about the place was it's conducive for studying and it's really quiet when we were there (I really really like quiet places especially quiet coffee shops). I think most of the people in there during the time we visited were law students. The place has a second floor but when we were there it wasn't open because there weren't too many people (we got there around 2-3pm).

Meshwe

Middle Eastern

We've been planning since last month to try Meshwe and we finally got to try last week!

I ordered Chicken Shawarma while P ordered Beef Shawarma. We also ordered Chicken Tenders (P125) which consists of 3 chicken tenders and Arabic Fries. Actually, I was more excited on eating the Chicken Tenders. Haha.

The shawarma (both beef and chicken) was different from the usual shawarmas I've tasted. But I liked it. And P liked it too. But I enjoyed the Chicken Tenders the most that's why I ordered another one. Hahahaha.

The place's good and affordable. And we'll definitely come back again. It can get jam-packed from 5pm onwards though. 128522

Wooden Spoon

So P and I were looking for a good and affordable place to eat at Rockwell (since most of the places are quite pricey), he suggested that we try Wooden Spoon because his kuya told him that the place also serve good food.

We ordered Adobo Flakes and Binagoongan (because I've been craving for it for n years). Binagoongan was so-so, it was more of a sweet side (and I was expecting it to be maalat because I'm craving for something salty 128517) and P also told me that it was just okay. But I really liked their Adobo Flakes!!! I'm not a fan of Adobo flakes but this one I really liked it and P likes it very much. Their Adobo Flakes comes with a garlic (?) sauce. Prices are affordable too starting from I think 170 pesos. (probably one of the affordable places to eat around Rockwell). Adobo Flakes and Binagoongan were around 200 pesos and 215 pesos, I'm not sure but parang ganyan na. Haha. Service was great because the servers were attentive and they pour water to your glass kahit half-empty palang. 128522

Sorry I forgot to take a picture because we were really hungry that time. 128517

One of the best dessert place I've been to! Though the time i went there, most of the desserts were unavailable. I tried their Coffee Cheesecake and Blueberry Cheesecake. It was okay, maybe because I didn't taste the cheese that much, I think the jelly was overpowering the cheese. Heh. But what I liked about it is there's a free and unlimited brewed coffee! I also ordered their cream cheese brownies and it was... Heaven! It's a must try. :)

Second time I went here, I purchased their red velvet cupcake and Oreo cheesecake. The red velvet cupcake was, meh. It was too oily and the cream cheese frosting was more sour than sweet. But the oreo cheesecake was heavenly. I mean, it's one of the best oreo cheesecake! I think it was a baked one. It costs around P225, but you'll really get your money's worth. It's worth a try. :)

The staff's accommodating too. They are really attentive and they smile a lot. So it's a plus point.

I still can't forget their oreo cheesecake.

I ordered inihaw na liempo with rice and lasagna for lunch. I also tried their buko pandan salad because I was craving for buko. Well, I was quite disappointed with their serving size. I only had 5 strips of inihaw na liempo and the lasagna's smaller than Greenwich's snack size lasagna. The buko pandan was kind of dry so I didn't enjoy it that much.

But the place is okay, though the place was full because it's lunch time.

I went here, I think 3 weeks ago, after attending mass. I was curious and wanted to try this place. By the time we went there, their cooling system was not functioning so it was really hot. :(

I ordered Green Tea Frappe and Caramel Macchiato. It was okay, I liked it but there's nothing too special about it. I also ordered their waffle, the one with 3 scoops of ice cream and fruits. The serving was bigger than I expected. It was okay, maybe because the waffle was toasted so I didn't enjoy it that much.

The staff gave us a drink, I forgot the name of the drink but it was Kiwi something. Haha. It was for free because the ac wasn't functioning. Pero later on, electric fans arrived so it wasn't too hot already.

Their cakes and other pastries are affordable too. :) The prices of the cakes starts with 95 pesos. The drinks, I think it's ranging from 95-150. I didn't enjoy my first experience (because it was too hot) but I'm thinking of visiting this place again. :)

The last time i went here, I ordered oreo cheesecake and green tea frappe. The barista/cashier seemed not to notice me plus she wasn't smiling so I was a bit annoyed. But I let it pass and told myself maybe they're tired.

What I didn't like about was the signal. I need to go out to have my phone's signal. But i guess it's a plus for those who do not like distractions. Haha.

I was quite disappointed though because the oreo cheesecake got smaller compared before. The price shifted from 105 to 120 and it became smaller so... Tsk. Anyway, good thing I love their cheesecake so okay na lang. Hahaha.

Tbh, it's one of the not-so-quiet branch of sb I have visited. So medyo saludo ako sa mga nakakaaral pa in spite of the noise. Hehe.
