We spent the morning in lieu of Father's Day on a trip to Tagaytay. For years, and on many occassions, we'd always dine at Yellowcab Pizza Co. But this day, we decided to drop by Bag of Beans for a dose of pastries, frappes and tea.
We already ate a moderate meal at another resto so our purpose is just for dessert. So we ordered three cheesecakes (1 strawberry & 2 blueberry), carrot cake & apple pie (a la mode). Soda aside, other beverages were mocha frappe, watermelon fruit shake, and hot green tea. Total was Php 1,285.
[Pictured above was my sister's strawberry cheesecake] The mocha frappe and blueberry cheesecake I ordered were just the right flavour. Nothing too bland nor overpowering. Cake slice was only a little big so it took me some time to finish.
Dining at the outside seats, under a tree, was lovely. But not until lunchtime and the sky is clear. I was burning in my seat! Other options are available: high chairs, under an umbrella, ordinary resto style, even huts! (pardon my terminologies). We came hours from lunchtime yet the 'house' was almost full. Btw, don't worry if you see too many cars up front. Two more parking spaces are available when you make the turn (don't fear the narrow unpaved road).
Cost-wise, it was a bit moderate. Probably a budget of Php 3,000 for a five-member family. Nevertheless, the restaurant has breakfast and lunch buffet rates available. Too bad we ate meals beforehand, will definitely come back to try out their other menus.
