Ice cream is not exceptional and too expensive. I wonder if they have repeat customers. But not going to recommend because 4 scoops with a waffle cone cost you Php 265.00.

Comfort place of my comfort food. Kitsune Udon is considered my 'introvert mode comfort food.' The subtle sweetness of the thin tofu sits well with the hot broth and perfectly done udon.

Only comment would be the service. It took time just to bill what I ate. They need to automate a bit so it would not affect customer experience.

Motorino Pizza Manila

Got to try their lunch set which includes Salami Pizza (half), Anglio Oil Bacon and Ceasar Salad. The serving is quite generous and can be shared by two if just for some quick bites.

The ceasar salad serving is great. The lettuce was fresh, crisp and really green. The lack of dressing was compensated by the amount of parmesan cheese which gives you some salty taste.

The Anglio Oil Bacon serving was good for one. It also has the same amount of parmesan cheese but this time it felt short. It tasted bland if you just eat the pasta but the bacon saved this dish. The way the pasta was cooked is not to my liking, dikit dikit. 🤭

The salami pizza saved it all. It has three slices and was cooked to perfection. It captures the Neapolitan pizza, basic and not fancy. Definitely enjoyed all three slices. l

I think there’s a lot more for this restaurant, so will plan to dine again.

The renowned cupcake store from New York City is now in Manila. Located at the Ground Floor of One Bonifacio High Street, the store is surely an eye catcher.

The store is small, with most of the seats are outside. You can also see their kitchen and stalls filled with cupcakes and cookies. These cupcakes are always fresh as they create it by small batches. This is to ensure that quality is good and less food wastage.

Let's talk about what I love!

1. Vanilla Banana Pudding: This is one of the best pudding I tasted so far. It is very unique and the taste is so good. They mentioned that it comes with three sizes, so I think when I come back, will just buy the smallest one.

2. Blueberry Jamboree Icebox: Their blueberry cake is such a treat and definitely make you forget offerings of other establishment. The pecan short bread crust was made to perfection, the cream cheese provides a well balanced flavour and the blueberries are so fresh! They told us, if there are no blueberry supplies available, then no blueberry cake. They ensure the quality of what they deliver.

3. Calamansi Cheesecake: You can definitely taste the calamansi! This is one of the exclusive desserts they created for the Philippine market. I feel that they successfully created this and matches the taste buds of Filipinos.

Although they became popular because of their cupcakes, I felt the sweetness is too overpowering. Since they cannot alter the sweetness of the cupcakes, they just have a spectrum of cupcakes from very sweet to slightly sweet. Just ask them for their recommendations.

Sushi Nori

The orange colored font and a menu outside caught my attention. First time to try Sushi Nori.

I ordered for the Tuna Overload (Php 369) and Wagyu Kushi (Php 149). The tuna bento includes 6 pieces tuna sashimi, 6 pieces tuna maki and 2 pieces tuna sushi.

What I love about the Tuna Bento is the quantity. It can definitely be shared by two. The rice of the tuna sushi is well-prepared and enjoyed that. The salmon sashimi is pale red which I somehow felt not fresh while the tuna maki is spicy. Not a fan of spicy food so was not able to finish it. Gave feedback to at least inform customer that it is spicy and store attendant mentioned they can adjust based on customers’ liking.

The wagyu kushi really tasted well, balance of salt and pepper. But somehow overpriced for me considering 4 small cubes on a stick.

Overall, it was a good experience. I’ll comeback to taste their pokè bowls.

Coffee

A quiet place to just relax and enjoy good coffee.

Since I have time to spare, I ordered their 氷コーヒー(kōri kohi) Php 220. It is cold brew sumiyake iced cubes paired with warm milk. The milk will dissolve the coffee cubes and you can now enjoy your coffee.

Well if you have time to spare, why not create your own?

1. Drip some espresso or just dissolve the black instant coffee of Nescafe! 128517

2. Pour into an ice cube tray and freeze.

3. After freezing, put it in a glass then warm some milk.

4. Pour the warm milk and enjoy!

Pero syempre huwag mong gawin sa UCC! Suggestion lang yan sa bahay or office. Tipid mode rin minsan, inflation is REAL! 128517

Three Guys & A Grill

BBQ Joint

If you are looking for hamburgers, sausages and a place to drink, then "Three Guys and a Grill" in Poblacion, Makati City is the best place to visit! Conceptualized by Tom Thurnherr, Duncan Gates and Frank Shrope, their goal is simple, "to make good sausages available to people in the way Filipinos especially like to eat it - in a bun with toppings!"

In this Looloo Rendezvoos, they let us have the newest addition to their menu!
THERE'S SOMETHING NEW

"We serve potato buns and a hamburger patty with less fat ratio!" said Daniel while preparing one of the burgers. These burgers are certain to please everyone as they are cheaper but high in quality compared to other burger joints. Here are 5 burgers that is perfect anytime of the day:

TOMMY BURGER (Php 190)

This is their basic burger. It has pure beef patty, toasted potato bun, crisp lettuce, onion, tomato, cheddar cheese and their awesome Three Guys Special Sauce. Perfect for someone who wants to enjoy the flavor and juiciness of their store made patty.

ANGHANG BURGER (Php 190)

Something to spice you up. It has pure beef patty, toasted potato bun, cheddar cheese, Sriracha Mayo, Jalapenos, home made ketchup and Three Guys Special Sauce. You will definitely get that spicy kick and best partnered with a glass of beer!

KIWIANA BURGER (Php 230)

My favorite! Reminiscent of a burger offered by a fast food chain, this burger is certainly a BETTER OPTION! For that price, you can enjoy pure beef patty on a toasted potato bun with fried egg, grilled onion, slice of grilled pineapple (TOTALLY LOVE IT!), crisp lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese, and Three Guys Special Sauce. It was a festival of flavors, from rich flavor of beef to the subtle hint of sweetness from the pineapple. THIS IS A MUST TRY FOR ME!

TEXAS HOLD EM BURGER (Php 230)

BACON, yes! Order this if you want to enjoy bacon with their flavorful homemade barbecue sauce! This burger is also served in a toasted potato bun with cheddar cheese, grilled onion and Three Guys Special sauce.

DOUBLE TOMMY BURGER (Php 280)

If all the four burgers does not satisfy your appetite, then choose this one. Two pure beef patties served on a toasted potato bun with all the ingredients same as the Tommy Burger. No one dared to eat it without slicing as it was a huge serving! But, if you were able to do so, then you need to share it here!

All these burgers are served with thick-cut french fries that are crisp on the outside yet, soft in the inside. Just ask for additional salt or flavor as I felt a bit bland when it was served. Also, their burgers are definitely enjoyable if you get an local craft beer from Engkanto Brewery. They are offering Lager, which has a subtle and clean taste which you can enjoy for long period yet make your palette refreshed.

Thank you again Roegan T. for the invite!
It was nice meeting you Denise A.
Awesome to do it with you Pat D., Dennis O., Marti M. and Charlzz C.

Sausages, up next!

Coffee

It took me several minutes to select the best food to try. The reason, “I believe that price should equate the serving.” But apparently, my expectation for UCC was not met.

I ordered a Hokkaido French Toast with the option of bacon and egg (Php 297). It has some greens and a slice of orange. I felt that they honor the word “singular” or “minimalist in their dish.

- 1 piece bacon
- 1 egg
- 1 lettuce (red)
- 1 lettuce (green)
- 1 sliced orange
- 1 slice of big bread (cut in half!)

Sooooo, dissecting it, the price really does not equate the quantity. Butttt, the good thing, it taste pretty well. The french toast was not too sweet while the bacon was crispy.

When I get back, would just go with coffee. After all, that’s their strength! 🙂

Does Starbucks still need a review? Well, this brand is always been popular among the working class.

I got my usual, a grande white chocolate mocha to boost me on a day’s work! It was busy today but there are still seats available if you want to stay and read something.

Do you have any Starbucks barista story? 128517 Or sige much simpler, a Starbucks barista crush? 10084️ Lahat siguro meron! 🤪

Hello, NATHAN! I think he is in the morning shift, hindi ko siya nakita eh... Pero best day was yesterday when he asked, “You work at Tower II. Right?” I smiled and said, “Yes.” (end of story... bukas naman! Review toh, hindi diary!)

8Cuts Burgers (formerly Burger Bar)

*Natatawa ako, FEELING (assumption) ko si ate na nag-prepare ng burgers is kept on saying to the other kitchen staff, “Ayusin natin, he is observing.” Haha. Well, in fact I am but not on to bash on how you prepare it. Just do what you need to do ate. And please, SMILE! (And looking while doing this review).*

When we talk about burgers, this joint never fails. Ordered their cheese burger (Php 195) and partnered it with a serving of onion rings (Php 70) and a glass of lemonade (Php 80).

Their 1/4 lb. cheese burger is cooked to perfection as I can hear some beep and the cook will turn the patty over the pan. It was tender and juicy when you start to munch it. Their signature sauce called “sauce no. 3” is also a plus as it really adds flavor to the whole serving.

The onion rings is the real surprise. I need to have a second look if it was indeed the single order or the bucket. The serving was huge with 2 or 3 people can share. It was topped with a powder that tasted like barbeque but not thw spicy one. This is the best onion rings for me so far. Definitely a must-try for everyone.

The service is quite impressive with everyone so attentive with customers. Thank you sir for anticipating that I will ask for water because my lemonade is almost done. 128588🏻128588🏻128588🏻

Let’s head over to the improvements. Not on the food. But the area where the food was being prepared. It was not dirty per se, as I observed. But it seems to be so busy. The french fries was prepared on the other side, while in front me is a sink where something is being thawed. I think they are cleaning their refrigerators that time. It could be their process, and definitely they know about sanity.

Overall, it was a great experience. And not going to say do not eat here, because their burgers are JUST TOO AWESOME not to taste!
