The Country Club at Tagaytay Highlands

Sports Club

It was a family day out at Tagaytay Highlands. We took our merienda in their Country Clubhouse. You can take the cable car of around 5-7mins or the train that will take less than 3 mins or you can drive around going there. As you enter you will be welcomed by an usherette and will lead you to your chosen seat. A view of golf course while taking your meal and the fresh air that make it so relaxing.

We tried their Lumpiang Sariwa, it was beautifully wrapped that it's so inviting. But i got disapointed upon taking a bite, it was bland and lack of flavor even with the dip. We also tried their Pancit Canton and it was good. But right away I skipped to banana split and sansrival instead and that's the time i enjoyed my afternoon snack.

Hence the service was good. If i will come back it will be for desserts and the fresh air.

Napa Cafe

Hubby and i were cruising along Scout Borromeo in Quezon City, we saw this old-type of house-turned into a splendid restaurant. We were curious so thought of dining in. Upon entering, a small, cozy nook greeted us. Off to the side are racks of wine bottles before descending upon a short staircase opening to the main dining area. A crystal chandelier dangles overhead, completing the perfect ambiance for a romantic dinner. The ambiance actually gives a cozy feel.

We started off with a recommended appetizer called Cheesy Chicken and Spinach Dip. Itโ€™s a thick and creamy dip thatโ€™s as sinful as it is tasty with bite sized focaccia bread and a whole lot of dip. Then we tried their Rustic Caesar Salad. Crunchy croutons sit on a bed of romaine lettuce leaves, with tiny bacon bits scattered all over. For our entree we had Putanesca a typical tomato based pasta with olives, capers, and tomatoes. Then came fish cake, it was good. I really liked the sweet and spicy sauce topped with crunchy garlic, especially hubby who's into garlic so much! He definitely enjoyed this. We were about to take our dessert when we were recommended cinco formaggi & pepperoni pizza. Cinco Formaggi is like a 7-cheese pizza, well it's alright but i love the pepperoni pizza more. It was big actually that we have to take home most of it. We were so full that we couldn't take our dessert anymore. Too bad! Oh well, i would just have to go back to try more of their dishes since we had a real good time!

To end this write up, i would say Napa is one of those good food, good service and highly recommended dine-in restaurant. ;)

Buffet

A week before my birthday, hubby and i were thinking where to eat on the day. We like different cuisines so to meet halfway we decided to dine at vikings to be able to eat what we want.

What i love most about Vikings was their huge selection of salad! I drool literally! Of course i tried every dish as in everything. Most of them are really delectable but there's this one dish i really hate, their lamb patty. The taste was awful! Oh well i guess im nkt really an exotic food eater. But overall, it was great!

Oh and since it was my birthday like the other celebrants, i got my free cake :) Thanks Vikings!

Tea

After church, hubby and i decided to grab some milk tea. Otw home we saw newly opened Bubble Tea along Blueridge Katipunan. The store were shared with Honeybee Patisserie & Cafe so it was a double treat for us that we will be able to try two different cafes in one. I was delighted!

I was into sweets at that time so i ordered Tokyo Tiramisu and Mango Crepe top with vanilla ice cream. Then hubby ordered Chicken Pesto and Wintermelon Milk Tea.

They have huge serving. The staffs are friendly and accomodating. The food was served timely and hot! Great food and great service! I love it!10084๏ธ

After ransacking F21's Black Friday sale, my friend tagged us at Banana Leaf saying how great the food is. Since i'm really not a big fan of asian cuisine i gave it a shot.

I ordered Roti dog in curry sauce since it's just late afternoon, thinking i would still have to grab my dinner when i get home. Then my friend ordered her favorite dish called Nasi Goreng, it's a rice topping with chicken strips in a special spicy sauce topped with a sunny side up. Then my other friend ordered Nasi Lemak, a fried chicken meal with boiled egg and peanuts as side dish, with special coconut rice and fish sauce. I took a taste of both and i love it! The Roti dog was good also though there's this smell like burned bread i guess it's how they cooked the pita wrapped. Overall, it was a good experience.

Coffee

I first went to UCC not to drink coffee but to eat. Im not a coffee person at all. But i guess they have the best coffee compared with Starbucks.

Anyway, since they're serving Asian cuisine, i got to try Their Ramen and it's good. With just the first sip of soup, you'll surely fall in love with it. The UCC version is bigger and can be shared by two people. The noodles are fatter too. I do hope that they can serve it super steaming hot, though.

I also got to try the Char Siu Donburi with their special marinade. It was OK but not something that I would rave about. I don't think the price tag is justified.

I have always love the ambiance of every UCC branches it was very comfy, quiet and a good place for meetings. Service was okay too.

Overall, i will always go back and try out something from their menu.128521

Tea Sparkle

Tea

Tea Sparkle has been a talk of the town since it opened. My friend and i tried it out for an afternoon snack. Upon getting there, i was not overwhelmed by the ambiance as it was just a typical type of a store.

I started out by trying Wintermelon Milk Tea to give it a comparison. I was not surprised. Again, just a typical wintermelon. My friend also tried out Thai Milk Tea and Taro MT. Their thai milk tea gave it an oozing taste. But the taro milk tea was also just a typical.

They're also serving appetizer. During that time i'm craving for quesadillas so i suggested that if they may add it up to their menu. After a month i found out that they're already serving it. I would love to try it.

Overall, im not impressed. But if their quesadillas is good, i might give them another star.

We went here for Father's day celebration with my family. Upon entering, we were greeted by ladies wearing colorful wigs. I noticed that they have similar design with Johnny Chow in Newport Mall.

We were served boiled peanuts and house tea while waiting for the dishes that did not take long to be served hot even if they cautioned us we may have to wait a few minutes.

We tried the oysters, hainanese chicken, dumplings, garlic kangkong, steamed lapu lapu and their very own Nirvana salad. Everything was superb that we consumed all that we ordered.

Service was always with a smile and we were very pleased. It isn't cheap though but worth it.

Tea

I found out about this new tea shop because one of its owners is my sister's bestfriend. And as soon as it opened i went to try it out. When i got there, i was like whoa!128525 awesome tea place! The cow print design on their couches, the frames saying "keep calm and milk a cow" and lots of others makes it more inviting. It is so far the cutest designed of a tea shop i ever seen. I wish i could post here all the pictures i took from Bubblicitea. It was really created beautifully!

I first tried out their Dark Vader, it's one of their best seller and when i got to taste it... Moooolicious!128077128077128077

They also served apetizers though i was not able to grab one since i had my dinner before i went there. But they have what they call "Go chef special" and everytime i see on my facebook feeds their different variety of Go chef special, i drool like crazy coz by the looks of it, it must be a hit! Im really looking forward to try each variety of their food and explore more of their teas.

Oh i forgot to mention, the milk that they're using on their teas is a healthy cow milk. A healthier way to enjoy your favorite milk tea.

Overall, I would really say: "see and try it for yourself"128521
