Quaint stall popular for their authentic Thai Milk Tea and pocket-friendly food. This restaurant is also a Zomato Gold partner that gives complimentary dish for (1) food order of the same or lesser value. Tried the Catfish Salad, Chicken Pad Thai, and Milk Tea for only P240. Food is nothing but commendable.

Serves vietnamese cuisine. Ordered Bành Mi and Fresh Spring Rolls and availed the 1+1 promotion of Zomato app. Had a hard time what to choose on the menu. Wall counter is designed with potted herbs where diners can pick fresh basil leaves. They also provide delivery service through the grab app.

Vitto's Wine Bar & Restaurant

Bar

Ended the work week with a glass of wine. This is located in Sct Lozano near Tomas Morato. There is a carpark building across Vitto’s. They add handwritten notes in every glass to personalize the experience. The ambiance matches the great selection of wine they offer. Service is good and the food menu is interesting too.

Food purchase within the grocery premises also requires the membership card. A huge slice of pizza is priced at P99, a quarter pounder burger is at P109. Bigger group can share a box of pizza for P599. Garlic Shrimp Pizza is a personal favorite. S&R also introduced a dessert called Cheesecake pops. Variants include Matcha, Oreo, and Chocolate. A piece is priced at P89 and P149 for a pair. Branches of S&R Pizza also spread over Metro Manila. Stand-alone stalls doesn’t require the membership.

This hotpot restaurant has been existing for so long but it’s my first in the EDSA centris branch. We went on a weekday lunch and only 3 tables were occupied during this visit. Rate is at Php545/head and the last call for lunch buffet is at 2:30pm.

Tried the Satay and Sinigang soup base. On the onset, I can say that there is a major difference in taste. It is not as flavorful as it used to be.

There is a varied option of vegetables, meat, and seafood for grill or hotpot. There is a counter for asian food and a few racks of sushi. Selection for dessert includes Ice Cream, cake slices, fruits, buco pandan, and you can make your own halo-halo.

Walked around UP Diliman and found one of the best grilled burgers in area 2. It’s not expensive for its quality. There’s a bench in the counter for a quick grub. 5 stars for the perfectly juicy burger patty.

Beside Snack Shack is a stand that serves the freshest fruit shakes in the area for a minimum price of P45. This store used to be in the corner end of UP’s shopping mall. Oreo Cheese Shake is one of their classic best. Locally grown fruits and vegetables are also available.

Mendokoro Ramenba

Ramen or Noodle

The long overdue visit to Mendokoro Ramenba finally happened. Tried the branch in Icon Building and it imbibed the feeling of being transported to Japan from its set-up to its taste.

There’s a counter upon entry where the order is placed. A number is given upon payment. They follow a system and diners will have to wait for their turn to be seated in long lane of chairs surrounding the kitchen. The menu can be really overwhelming. We tried 4 different options: first is the off-menu but highly popular Super Chasu, then we varied our choices to TanTanMen, Tonkotsu Tsukemen, and Karai Tokusei Tsukemen. We added a plate of 5-piece Gyoza. A Php400 bowl of noodles in this economy is honestly expensive but really, the flavorful soup base justifies the hype. I particularly love the spicy and creamy TanTanMen which also uses Sesame Seeds to achieve its authentic flavor. It’s worth the long drive from QC to BGC.

This chic clothing line launched an upscale glasshouse that serves comfort food in Rockwell Makati.

Ordered the cowboy steak(usda prime) for dinner. Paired it with mashed potato and it is definitely worth the splurge. Meat is as tender and well prepared. A 750g plate costs Php3680.

Pearl Plaza have an array of restaurants with different choices from Japanese, Mister Kabab, Pancake House, Tapa, and more. We went for Korean and it was a good choice. They have a korean bbq available for ala carte. It’s not unlimited and the price points can be steep if compared to other samgyup. The side dishes are unlimited. We ordered bibimbap, bulgogi, jap chae and the flavors are done right. A sizzling platter of Bulgogi is priced at P450. It was a late dinner and they close at 10pm. Service is appreciable despite the limited manpower. They only have one chef that serves 4 tables at a time but food arrived quickly
