While most of the coffee shops in the metro offer planners and Holiday drinks. Costa Coffee launched Wish Upon a Costa, which features their holiday desserts and drinks.

I find their Frostino very sweet and I'm not really a fan of sugary drinks. But the marketing team mentioned that the sweetness level for these drinks can be lowered and that's a good info to keep in mind. Each of these Frostino are all priced the same. Php 185 (Primo), Php 195 (Medio) and Php 210 (Massimo).
- Salted Pistachio Mocha Frostino
- Golden Hazelnut Hot Chocolate Frostino
- Candy Cane Frostino

As for their hot Holiday drinks prices are same for each. Php 180 (Primo), Php 190 (Medio) and Php 205 (Massimo).
Billionaire's Hot Chocolate
Base is chocolate topped with caramel syrup and cookie bits. If you are looking for a chocolatey drink. This one is for you!

Salted Pistachio Mocha
Chocolate Coffee base with salted pistachio syrup.

Golden Hazelnut Hot Chocolate
Dark chocolate base mixed with roasted hazelnut syrup comes with cookie. My favorite drink among the 6 drink. Not as sweet as the others 128588🏼

Each costs the same: Php 185 (Slice), Php 1665 (Whole). I would totally go back for the first two.

Purple Glaze Cake
I love ube! Sooo I’m biased for this cake. It has caramel layers too.
Candy Cane Cake
Moist vanilla chiffon cake with layer of cream cheese. Love this cake! Minus the candy cane - I’m not a fan of candies 9996🏼
Choco Mint Cake
I enjoy chocolate mint treats. This one was ok, I would still go for Andes chocolate for choco minty cravings.

Gingerbread Cookie (Php 45) light taste of that typical gingerbread flavors: cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.

Cheesecake Yule Bar (Php 125) talk about cream cheese. Yum! Another sweet treat I would come back for.

Thank you Roegan T for having me.128588🏼

Hawker Chan offers signature combination platter of char siew, pork ribs, roasted pork and the whole chicken platter priced to be extremely pocket-friendly. The soya chicken is available for just Php128. During this Christmas season, diners can take joy in a platter (good for 6-10pax) of char siew, roasted pork and soya chicken for only Php1,400.

Thai Style Tofu (Php 160) and Seasonal Vegetable (Php 99) was first served as an appetizer and we liked their Thai Style Tofu. Lightly fried tofu drizzled with sweet and sour sauce topped with nuts.

Soya Chicken (Php 299 Half / Php 598 Whole)
Tender roast chicken is their signature dish and has placed Hawker Chan on the map. Mouthwatering umami-flavor that is rich and fatty which leaves you wanting more.

Any 3 Combination Platter (Php 280) Soya Chicken, Pork Rib and Roasted Pork.
Add Plain Rice (Php 25) or Plain Noodle (Springy Yellow noodles or Flat Hor Fun noodles - Php 60) to complete this meal. Probably a dish I'd recommend you should order for your first visit to Hawker Chan. Choose three out of their four roast meats: Soya Chicken, Char Siew, Pork Rib or Roasted Pork You get to try their signature Soya Chicken along with other delectable meats.

Situated at the upper ground level main mall of SM North Edsa, this establishment can seat 56 diners who are looking for inexpensive hearty meal. Foodee Global, the company that brought this venture to the Philippines is planning to open its 3rd and 4th branches next year in Glorietta and South Mall.

Such a small world since one of the owners is a friend of mine that I met in high school. It's been awhile since I last saw here and was happy to catchup a bit after all these years. Adulting time! 128514

Trash Can Nachos (Php 420) We love this crispy corned tortillas topped with corned beef (yaaas! So good), chili beef, caramelized onions, cheese, pico de gallo and flavorful sauces (onion cream and cilantro marinara). I like how light and crispy the nachos were and colorful it was too. We couldn’t help devour this baby.

Mushroom Truffle Risotto (Php 420 additional Php 250 for Salmon) and Truffle Lechon (Php 350) were on my top three favorite dishes that afternoon. I love creamy dishes and both satisfied my craving for it. I would certainly order it again on my next visit. Crispy lechon bits was a good addition to the pasta’s texture and taste.

Molten Lava Burger (Php 430) I found the patty bland despite having the melted cheese on top of it. I love my burger patty flavorful and juicy, it wasn’t able to hit that spot for me. Comes with potato chips and uses brioche bun.

Daddy’s Homemade Sisig (Php 300) Creamy sisig with crispy chicken skin. I love how the texture of this favorite pulutan that turned ulam with garlic rice and egg. I love sisig that is crispy more than overly oily in terms of preparation.

Cheesburger Bolognese (Php 320) Cheesy spaghetti? I’m a huge fan of cheesy dishes and this wasn’t as overwhelming which is a plus but it was a little too sweet though.

Chorizoo Croquetta Bombs (Php 250) Hello there! Chorizo bits and mozzarella for croquetta. Crispy on the outside and soft and gooey inside. Came with aoilo sauce.

DESSERTS
Ube Champorado (Php 250) I love anything ube. I'm one of those people who enjoy eating a jar of Shepard's Ube Jam straight from the container. I was expecting it to be ube-er than it was, maybe it's just me. I love that it had salted fish flakes which balanced sweetness something salty. Topped with yema sauce and macapuno strings.

The only issue I have was the parking. It is limited, you can park on the street but it can get full most especially during peak hours. Take a grab or cab going there to avoid the hassle or call ahead of time if there are available parking slots. I would definitely bring my family and friends at this restaurant love the ambiance and how its pleasing to the eyes. I also recommend their Risotto and Truffle Lechon.

Thank you Roegan T for the invite 128588🏼

My newest favorite banh mi place. A friend (hey Jairus d) recommended this and it didn’t disappoint. I’ve actually been going here on several occasions whenever I’m in Makati. I’ve tried their Grilled Beef, Optional and two other flavors. I add Php 40 for extra toppings. Then i get the large size which costs around Php 134, noooot bad!

Although the server is always mataray but I don’t cause I love their food!

1st photo: roast pork bbq,
2nd photo: optional (only available at this branch)

Pretty surprised that it is still standing after all these years. Two restos in the same compound already closed down. Some items weren’t available that day so I ordered Smoked Brisket Sandwich (Php 295) it was pretty meat and had potent taste of barbecue which was fine with me. I like it flavorful rather than bland. Then my older sister ordered Carla’s Truffle Pasta and i got to try it was ok could have been a little creamier but taste it was good. Hope they’ll survive still since a lot of restos close down around the area.

We were welcomed by the owners of the restaurant Denise Cabotage and Engle Martinez. They wanted to open a place where people can simply chill, eat delicious food and drink authentic and beloved cocktails any time of the day. They make sure to source ingredients locally and help local suppliers at the same time.

Prosciutto Salumi Platter (Php 850)
Includes gouda, cheddar, blue cheese, mozzarella, dark chocolate bits, pistachio, walnuts, grapes, olives, sultanas and of course Prosciutto. Order a bottle of wine and it's going to be a fun afternoon with friends. This platter can be perfect pica pica for their cocktails too.

Under their BREAKFAST menu we got to try Beef Tapa (Php 280) and Continental Breakfast (Php 360). Definition of breakfast of champions. Both came with garlic rice and two eggs (you can request on how you want your eggs cooked). I found the bacon too tough though but we took some time taking photo so it affected the quality of the meat.

We also tried their pizzas: 4 Cheese Pizza (Php 480) and Breakfast Pizza (Php 420). When it comes to pizzas for me it is important to have even distribution of ingredients on the whole dough. Flavors was there but wished the toppings wasn't mostly in the middle.

These dishes came with french fries that tasted like KFC's fries and it was divine. We couldn't help munch on it. Steak Sandwich (Php 520) they used this baguette that was crispy on the outside and soft in the inside, it was just heavenly. Steak slices was tender and succulent too plus the caramelized onions added flavor to the sandwich. Chicken Milanese (Php 350) juicy chicken breast with salad and fries. Probably one of their healthier dishes on their menu, according to Engle.

Mushroom Risotto (Php 375)
A favorite of mine. It was creamy, buttery and flavorful. Using porcini mushrooms it added more bite to the dish. Love this!

Prices for some of their food are fairly acceptable given that it is situated at a prime location. I'd definitely come back for their Mushroom Risotto and Steak Sandwich. The place is also perfect for afternoon drinks with fellow titos and titas of Manila.

Thank you Jessica G for having me 🧡

It’s five years since it first came to the Philippines and served authentic ramen along Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong. I had a hard time looking for the place due to lack of visible signage. Eboy D, the one who invited me, went out to pick me up cause I was in the wrong location.

I had a chance to try their Tonkotsu (Regular - Php 380; Large - Php 670). It's pale broth was thick and flavorful in stewed pork meat and bones with rich buttery consistency was just to die for. A thick slice of melting tender pork belly also known as cha sui and soft boiled egg or ajitsuke tamago sit on top of this elegant ramen. Topped with chopped green onions and mushroom slices.

Enjoyed their tempura too! Not to greasy and love the fluffy and crispy coating yummmmy!

I love it! I'm not a ramen person but this one i'd definitely go back for.

Ice Cream

XOXO Ice Cream originally started in Bali. Where it is loved buy local and tourist a like but I wasn’t able to try it out when I visited Bali. I was excited to try it out here in manila. From the same group who brought us Three Guys and A Grill, they are the ones who brought this ice cream venture in Metro Manila.

Their first branch is in Greenbelt 3 then will be opening a second branch in NAIA Terminal 3 Departure Area and their third branch in BGC before the year ends. Sooo watch out for those!

This mash and rolled up ice cream is an entertainment on its own. Once they get your order they’ll prepare it right in-front of you, mashing all the ingredients all together and flattening it into a thin sheet then roll it up. They have to do it fast for it freezes quickly.

The base is everything according to the owner for they just mix the flavoring into it. This vanilla base is made by expert food chemist with the right balance of sweetness and consistency so it wouldn’t overpower other ingredients.

I’m such a boring person when it comes to ice cream, I just ordered their Lala Land which is vanilla base topped with salted caramel sauce and vanilla chocolate. I like that their vanilla sauce wasn’t as sweet for it complimented the toppings well. I really don’t like it when some desserts become overly sweet that I feel when I pee there will be a trail of ants. (Sorry ang graphic ba? Haha)

All of their flavors are priced at Php 200 each. I found it a bit pricey though so I suggest to order flavors that have more toppings like their Nuts About You, Mabuhay Fiesta or The Godfather. Those flavors were also delicious. 128588🏼

Thanks Jessica G for having me 🧡

Only had desserts after our lunch at Corner Market. We ordered some sweets and coffee to cap off our meal.
Chocolate Chip Cookie (Php 120) it was ok but we liked the the other cookie instead which was their dark chocolate cookie but they gave us this one. Their regular chocolate chip has the usual taste. Dark chocolate was more luscious with its melted dark choco bits.
Honey Cake (Php 250) alternate layers of caramel sauce and chiffon cake. Not too sweet

Iced latte (small-Php130) my kind of latte

Haven’t tried their savory dishes probably next time, if you have any recommendations I’m open to it.
