I am not a steak lover but this made me change my mind. Been coming back for their Wagyu Steak (price varies but today it’s Php1,135.00). It’s 250g good for 2 or 1 depending on your appetite. I think I can finish it alone but when I don’t want to feel bloated I “might” share it. I also like their Greek Salad - mix of white cucumber, white onions, red bellpepper, parsley and olive oil. Their smoothies are okay. We ordered Mint Lemonade and Pomegranate at Php145.00 each. Coffee was okay at Php170.00. Another thing I like here is their Pumpkin bread. It’s good when hot. They used to serve this free. Today, we paid Php40.00. Not really an issue because we bought this bread before to take home.

To give a fair review, I will try other steakhouses. For now, I really love this place. it’s a 💯 for me.

I love TWG and sadly this one in Newport Mall is permanently closed. Anyways, I love all the food, desserts and their freebies 128525 One time, I bought their Singapore Breakfast tea and they gave me a matching Singapore Surprise to go. At another visit, they gave me a free -cake (Idk what it was but it was really good, see picture). There were times they also serve the hot buns which I really love. My favorites here are (in order, they are all no.1 on my list): 1) Royal Crepe 1.1) Parisian Crepe 1.2) Chicken Fettuccine 1.3) TWG Croque Imperial 1.4) Royal Club Sandwich 1.5) Pan-seared Seabass, see picture 1.6) Halibut Millefeuille

Dessert: 1) Singapore Surprise 2) Napoleon Tea and Caramel Macaron

Tea 1) Silvermoon Tea - I like this because I think this is the safest for my taste buds.

Restroom - Looks clean, smells clean, feels clean

Ambience - perfect

Servers - always attentive, my orders were always accurate

Yakimix Prime

Buffet

This is the high-end Yakimix but still affordable given that drinks are also unlimited. Unli draft beer, Pepsi products, Pink Yellow Blue Lemonade and coffee

Menu - Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Filipino
Desserts - Halo-Halo and Ice Cream are always present; in my most recent visit, they had banana crepe that was made when ordered, leche flan (eggwhitey, no good), mango brulee (good, creamy), chocolate chip cake(surprisingly good), I didn’t try the others because I don’t really expect much from buffet restaurant desserts unless it’s NIU or Shangri-La.

Price 788.00/pax

Tip:
1) Don’t be selfish. Don’t put all the lechon kawali and tempura on your plate. You have people right behind you. You can come back for more. Share happiness.

2) Birthday promo is free buffet for the birthday celebrator with 3 paying adults. Bring govt issued ID with your bday.

3) Book in advance specially when you’re with elders.

4) Walk-in 30 min prior start of lunch or dinner time. The waiting area just outside the restaurant’s entrance door, has limited seats and can get really crowded. No fresh air ducts are installed at that area so if you have difficulty breathing or if you’re with elderly, don’t let them wait here. You may ask the receptionist to let them in but then again, still there is a chance you may not be able to get them in.

Starbucks Coffee

Coffee

Triple Cheese Ensaymada - my fave 🤗 I love it heated.
Chocolate Marshmallow Cake - one of the many Starbucks chocolate desserts my partner-in-crime loves that I think she should put a ring on it. 128141

Ambience - coffee shop standard: glass walls, yellow lights, couches, wooden counter shelves, restroom door, frames counter; nice interior

At this branch (maybe the same is true at some other branches), it’s almost like Jollibee at any given time and I may have said the same in other SB reviews; playful kids running around, baranggay/municipal hall staff parties (like last time I was waiting in line because the counter guy was sticking 40 SB organizer stickers on the baranggay chairman’s SB card), networking recruitment/presentation to the open-minded peeps; a lot of action going on here
TIP: For a grumpy old woman like myself, come here really really early in the morning. It’s the only time you may enjoy a nice quiet time with a hot cup of coffee

Like what I‘ve said in my previous reviews, I always come back for their pastries.127856

Crisostomo

This is my all-time favorite restaurant that I always fail to review out of excitement. Whenever I remember to post a review, all of the food has been consumed so it is not as instagrammable anymore. This always happens to me at my fave restos. Anyways, I order Sinigang na Pampano sa Bayabas every single time. I think they call it Sinigang Mestizo. I love it so much and I always ask for patis even if it doesn’t really need any condiment since it is already very tasty by itself. I just like patis with any soup dish. If you are not a fan of fish or sinigang, the more you need to try this. It costs around Php650.00. The fish is normally cut into three pieces -head, belly and tail; and can be shared by two to three persons. This is definitely a must try. Our Thai and French guests loved it.💯

Another thing, we can’t possibly miss is their very crispy Chicharong Bulaklak. It always came first as appetizer but I like it more with kanin. 127834

I have already tried everything in their menu from Callos to Kare Kare to Chicken Isaw to Fried Catfish to Squid Adobo to Pinakbet as in everything. I really love everything except for their Fried Chicken. It is not bad either but I don’t really recommend it because I think it is too dry inside out. So I suggest that you stay away from any of their fried chicken dish and try something else. McDonalds is on the 4th floor if you really want fried chicken.

They charge 10% for service.

I still recommend Crisostomo because 99% of their food is great and their service is great too. Their food is always cooked with fresh ingredients. Like one time, they didn’t accept our order “Sinigang Mestizo’” because according to them, the fish isnt good Servers and receptionists are tidy in their uniforms, attentive and friendly. They have their own restroom which is clean most of the time.

Vietnamese Spring Rolls - uses fresh ingredients, stuffed with sliced carrots, cucumber, cabbage, turnip, ham or bacon not sure which one, vermicelli and shrimp. Served with not-too-sweet sauce that had fish sauce in it. 128077🏻Tip: if you are ordering for your self, you can forget about the main entree because this is very filling. Otherwise, you can share with your friends.

I loved their free 2 pc. buns with butter served on another saucer. Buns were soft inside and chewy outside. It is a plus they were served hot.128077🏻

Hot choco - no drama hot choco, less sugar more choco128077🏻

Broiled Chicken with Mustard Sauce - was okay. Served with mashed potato and veggies (young corn, french beans and carrots) 128077🏻

Manhattan Clam Chowder - hardly found pieces of clams, more of diced potatoes, carrots and onions, creamy and salty the way I expected it to be 128077🏻

Desserts - We dis not order today but so far all desserts were good. I ordered Strawberry Cheesecake in the past and it was okay. My friend also looks forward to desserts at this place.

Ambience - perfect, nice cosy interior, spectacular view of Taal Lake,

Sometimes, there’s a lot of people here but there is enough space for everyone because the guard wont usually let guests get past the parking area when they are already full. 128077🏻

People working here - Servers are mostly men in long sleeves with tie. Lady

Price - As of writing, I don’t have the bill yet but it would probably be around Php1,100.00 including the service charge.

They charge 10% for service.

We’ve been here many times. So 128077🏻

I haven’t tried their ala carte menu. Based on my free buffet breakfast experience, Filipino selections were onpoint. Like they served Bistek, which I liked because I could taste the mild saltiness of the soy sauce and the touch of Calamansi plus the savory taste of beef... very Pinoy. They always have one fish dish, two meat, one vegie, scrambled eggs, soup and ofcourse, rice on their Pinoy buffet section. On another area, they have all the processed food like Ham, Bacon, French Toast, Pancakes, Waffles and Omelet.

One small thing. They failed me on the Omelet. I wanted the ingredients cooked first before stuffing them into the egg, particularly the onions and bellpeppers. Although, the guy may have done it had I asked or maybe not. Whatever. 128539

On another long table, there were the desserts: rice cakes, cakes, fruits; they had small salad station, cold cuts and cheese section and the bread section.

They serve free drinks on another small table near the entrance. They had water with lemon, orange juice and pineapple, brewed coffee (free brown/white sugar and creamer), milk, hot water, tea. The juices tasted like the juice powder you mix with water, not the liquid ones.

Service is good. I also get my newspaper here and they don’t mind.

This is not outstanding but I may consider coming back for more Pinoy food and service.

For the price, it is okay. We got a room with free breakfast.

Complimentary coffee and tea, free room amenities like shampoo, conditioner, etc.

24h Room Service for Food and Spa Services - okay

A/C silent, comfy bed and pillows

No turndown service for Superior rooms but they clean the room in the morning and replenish the amenities.

Service - front desk, housekeepers, guest services/ concierge were all friendly and approachable

The only thing I hope they have is ATM at the hotel, however, they have free shuttle going to and from Newport Mall where there is a lot of ATMs. I simply had to call the Guest Services to book the free shuttle. They pick me up even when I am alone.

My tip is to arrive earlier than check in time because it can get very crowded at 3pm and there is not enough seats at the lobby to accommodate all guests.

I liked their Carbonara only because I like Sopas and it tasted more like Sopas than Carbonara. 128513

Ube Ensaymada - tasted like it, bread was dry
Chocolate Croissant - too dry, tough

Nasi Lemak - adapted to Pinoy taste, didn’t taste authentic probably because ingredients were sourced locally

Hot Mocha - okay
Apple Juice - natural apple blended right on spot, okay

Our bill was around Php1,100.00

Menu has limited food selection which is okay since it is a bakery. They also have other Malaysian dishes like Beef Rendang, Chicken Rendang, Chicken Curry, etc.however, only three dishes were available

Staff was nice.

Ambience is okay.

They have one wallmounted tv; Seats for around 10 people; A bit warm inside.

Overall, it will be the last on my long list of bakeshop/cafe/resto. I am not coming back.
