Hello, Oyasumi! I forgot about you already haha. Friend wanted some ramen and of course, it’s the nearest one (wait until Hanamaruken opens nearby and let’s see how it’s different) available. I forgot again that the gyoza tastes like ginger. Who wants ginger?! I ordered Iekei (as pictured) and my friend who ordered Black Garlic did puppy dog eyes and asked me to swap bowls because the garlic was too strong. Chasu is generous so no problemo with that.

If you’re really going to eat here, just stick to the Iekei offering because you can’t go wrong with the classic. 128524

Hello, Press Cafe! When Starbucks is too crowded and you want a more quiet place to stay, there’s a Press Cafe in Fully Booked. Coffee is decent at Php130 and they are accommodating. What I can’t recall is if there are outlets for laptop charging.

Idk why a Stella costs 250 and a bottle of Hoegaarden is 350. Maybe they are saying, “yes we have beer but don’t buy it here. We have books everywhere.”

Parking in Wilson area is kind of a hassle but Flossom has parking! Yay! The guard will assist you, too, so no problem with that now. The place has flowers all over - unleashing the inner “tita” in you or okay fine, your inner botanist. Lol.

Went here with a friend in the area who was craving for pasta. We ordered Cheeseburger Bolognese but she requested to have the cheese removed. Hahahaha they served the cheese separately and with garnish/edible flowers/petals! The other order is the Chicken Pesto Pizza. Both items were good but the pizza is something I’d order again.

Service is okay. No issue with the place save for the price. 🤭

Note: Credit card is accepted. And they also have an area you can reserve for private functions. :)

Fast Food

The orders were beef misono bento and the wagyu cubes bento. Oh, plus their cucumber lemonade which was pricey. We thought it was the powdered kind and we were just overcharged but loooo they have shredded cucumber included! Putting a little something in the artificial drink.

Anyway! The beef misono was still good and surprise surprise. The wagyu cubes were good! It had texture unlike the processed wagyu cubes served in other restos. Not bad for fast food!

My fave place in the Maginhawa area. If there are no seats, I do take-away! Chicken Ceasar Wrap, Quesadillas, and Nacho Potato Crisps. <3

Happy birthday to my sister and we had our fair share of buffet again. Honestly, Dads around the world is more promising. We just want to walk around the mall even after eating.

And as usual, I love the tea section! :))

Barcino

Wine Bar

Okay. I like Barcino and I like the wine and their service so it’s going to be 4 stars.

I’m a menu warrior. I like trying out different things in the menu even if I have found out that I like a few dishes already. How will I know if I like something better if I don’t try it, diba?

But this short review is for the Sangria Blanca.

Omg. Avoid this. Please. Ang sama. I remember I told my friend, “Para akong kakasuka lang tapos uminom ng drink.” It was not good huhu. I thought I was just being maarte but I’m a wine drinker - particularly fond of white wine (and not the moscato-wine drinker ah).

Stick to your red Sangrias please.

Starbucks Reserve

Coffee

Since I’m the new tambay of Makati Med, I’ve tried the different coffee chains around. I used to work along Dela Rosa but I have forgotten to step inside Starbucks Reserve. Friend treated me to Dark Caramel Foam Cold Brew! It costs more than the non-Caramel version but since we used a coupon, I guess it’s okay. The taste is subtle but that’s it - if you have good taste buds, you can get this. If you can’t tell the difference in your coffee, opt for the non-caramel version instead. :)

Rustic Mornings by Isabelo

Breakfast

Offered to pick-up a friend and finally have my breakfast meet-up with her. In a funny turn of events, she overslept considering she’s the “morning person” between us.

Parking was full so we drove around and parked along the streets near Teatro Marikina. Walked a few streets and arrived in Rustic Mornings without breaking a sweat. I actually preferred parking farther than have to readjust inside the compound each time someone needs to go out. It disrupts your dining momentum.

We were 3rd in line and good heavens brought us in the area with lots of paintings and good light. The other garden area is too malamok for me and the inside with aircon kills the garden vibe. Place was perfect.

We had Boneless Bangus with side orders of Garlic Rice and Longganisa, coffee, extra order of hash brown, and the waffle, chicken, and salad set.

Boneless Bangus - good. Nothing special but not bad.
Longganisa - balled up sweet version of longganisa. I wished it was the garlicky version though.
Salad - omg their salad is so goooood!!!! We usually share but this time we “fought” over the last bite hahaha.
Breaded chicken - this one is served with a salsa sauce and it’s also goood!!!

The price might be surprising for some but the serving is just right for a famished person who just woke up after a long sleep.

And I’m back!! Prices have gone up but noodles here in Kanzhu are still to die for. Comfort food definitely. First time to try the curry beef dumplings. There are 7 dumplings per order so it’s good for sharing. :)

Ordered the usual suspects as well: A1 braised beef noodles and pan fried raddish cake. <3
