East side of Manila is an haven of secret cafes. 14 four is a furniture gallery within a residential community in Taytay. It is eventually transformed into a quirky cafe. Ill-sorted furnitures are placed together in eccentricity. The interiors exhibited creative use of colors and printed patterns.

Residents I know refers to this place as “LA” or Lower Antipolo. Explored this part of Rizal on a working weekend. Arrived at 3:00 in the afternoon. The food selection is simple. Paired my cup of Milo Dinosaur with Amaretto French Toast (P190), a plate of vanilla custard topped with maple syrup and toasted almonds. The toast is actually good, thick custard brings out the richness of flavor.

Finished the entire deck of presentation I am working on at around 7:00pm just in time for dinner. Binge on marinara spaghetti(P240) and red wine beef stew (P340). The beef cubes are tenderized and sauce is perfectly integrated. The pasta is subtly overcooked. Entrees is fine and the service is lead-footed.

Host your parties at the private dining hall. Be it an engagement party, intimate weddings, birthday celebration, baby shower, or a family gathering. It is a picturesque venue for any chic occassion.

14 Four Cafe is ONLY OPEN DURING WEEKENDS from Friday ‘til Sunday, 10:00am to 10:00pm. It is located at Magnolia Lane near Sienna College of Taytay, easily accessible from E. Rodriguez avenue. The location is approximately 30minutes away from Robinson’s Galleria in EDSA.

A COZY PLACE TO DINE

The most interesting part of going to this place is seeing a not so usual restaurant arrangement that’s equipped with modern furniture and design. Some say it is a furniture showroom which you can feel once you’re in. But, the concept is unique in its own way. I can say that this place is perfect for casual barkada date or a simple dinner catch-up with your long lost best friend. They also offer private functions like prenup photoshoot or team building eat-out.

14 Four Cafe surely is artistic in its own way. This is the reason why many people visit this place. Oh, and by the way. When we went here, we noticed that most visitors have DSLRs, compact cameras, and some high-end equipment. Kind of like, unspoken rule when you visit. Must bring a nice camera!

14 Four Cafe offers an all-day brunch ranging from sandwiches to pancakes, Rice meals of Pinoy all time favorite. Lastly, a range of unique pasta dishes. Serving time is 20 – 30 minutes. Try out their best-sellers, and the Milo Dinosaur.

Kitschy and artsy place few kilometres from the busy streets of the metro is 14Four Cafe in Taytay. The place is nice and exudes a homey vibe. A great place to chill and relax and enjoy the beautiful garden. Come nighttime, the colorful lights around the place accentuates the decors around this cafe. As for the food, there was nothing special or extraordinary. We got country fried chicken, the chicken was ok, the gravy was great nonetheless. The fish tacos are freshly cooked but pita is too starchy. Food took a while to be served. Wait staff is courteus and very approachable.

My cousin celebrated her 7th birthday here today, and the place looked so cuuuute. 128525 The inside looked like a doll house and outside there's a pretty garden.

The food was yummy too. I especially loved the nachos with tinapa dip. Sooo good! 128523

It's amazing how the seemingly never-ending Ortigas Avenue can bring us to the most quaint places! We advise that you make a reservation beforehand to ensure yourself a table when dining in 14 Four. The place fills up quickly with customers. You could choose to be seated inside or outside.

My boyfriend and I liked the interiors and the ambiance of 14 Four. It's decorated by a mix of furniture since the restaurant doubles as a showcase for the in-house furniture company, Stick Designs. They have a showroom inside the same compound if you want to check them out.

Sadly, there was nothing too impressive about their food. We wanted to order The Local as our appetizer, but it wasn't available that day. Instead, we ordered the Smoked Fish Pate made from cream cheese and spices, and served with tortilla chips. For our main course, I had the Country Fried Chicken with creamy mashed potatoes, rosemary gravy, and country biscuit. My boyfriend had the Chicken Margherita pasta made with marinara sauce, garlic, basil, melted mozzarella, and pieces pan-fried breaded chicken breast. For our drinks, we ordered a Pitcher of Dalandan Juice. The Dalandan Juice tasted too sour, and so I had to water it down. Again, I didn't think there was anything remarkable about their food. To make things worse, service was slow and inattentive. The redeeming qualities of the restaurant were its atmosphere and design.

Maybe I could've had a better dining experience if I tried their specialties, their 14 Four Tapa with garlic rice and fried egg and their dessert (which changes daily). Then again, I don't have to try their specialty in order to find their restaurant excellent. No matter what I order, I should be assured of a great-tasting meal.

Hello Looloo! It's been a while and I miss reviewing places. I was just kinda busy with things and now I'm back on track.

My friends and I went to this beautiful cafe named 14 Four Cafe in Taytay, Rizal two weeks ago. I discovered this place in a website and I really felt eager to dine here.

FOOD & PRICE:
✅ Carbonara Platter (P420.00)
Not too saucy. I expected a lot but I think they failed to make this more appetizing. Good for 3-4pax.

✅ Country Fried Chicken with Creamy Mashed Potatoes, Rosemary Gravy and Country Biscuit (P250.00)
This one is crispy! 127831 Very light in taste! Almost perfect for a fried chicken but a little bit oily.

✅ 14 Four Tapa with Garlic Rice and Fried Egg (P210.00)
This one tasted like longanisa! Sounds weird right? But good though.

Overall, I was not really impressed with their food because it lacked something. Good thing, we were hungry!

PLACE:
I really love the place! Because it is a furniture shop, they have a very cool interior design. I love the typography on their glass walls, the shape and size of their chairs, the lighting and the artsy ambiance.

Of course, the modern design of the front yard! We wanted to eat there but it was raining and other seats were occupied.

SERVICE:
"Masungit sila Ate!" The crew were not attentive and jolly! They were tired siguro. But, they should not make an attitude like that. Pffft!

Very nice interiors and ambience. Needs improvement though on their food menu. Food was just ok. Background music also does not match with the vibe of the place. Nevertheless, i would still want to go back because the place was really lovely! 9786
