It was a choice between cafe juanita and 1521. We ended up here since the former atmosphere smells like old house, but going back to 1521, it serves good filipino dishes with a twist. The torta talong we ordered comes with sisig, bicol express comes with a hefty amount of beef, palitaw with a sauce. Plus the servers are very nice.

Hahaha! Sorry for the no-food photo. Ubos na sya. Haha! This is where my friends and I had lunch on my birthday. They have a lot of dishes to choose from -- which has super fun names on it. Their food was super delicious which is kinda obvious in this photo, however, the food came after 30 minutes and it was a bit too pricey as the serving was very small. Pero I wouldn't mind going back and try their other dishes which I promise I will get a decent shot of. 127860128522

One of my favorite restaurants that serves Filipino cuisine! I really love how they come up with the names of the food on their menu, very witty and well thought out.128516128516 I would really recommend this to anyone who wants to try and enjoy affordable Filipino cuisine with a twist.

Food was good. A different take on Filipino food. I enjoyed browsing their menu. The waiter was helpful and he gave us recommendations. Will probably come back here if we're looking for a good Filipino resto.

Wife treated my family for her birthday dinner treat.
She ordered a storm to feed 9 hungry mouths! Gotta say the good was very delicious! The chili cheese sticks, laing( amazing) chicharon bulaklak, tort ang talong, cat fish salad, pork belly was all good!
Imagine Sunday dinner in your moms house serving lutong Bahay specialties.
Very good food! I'll be back... But why not 5 stars?... Restaurant was hot... I suggest clean the aircons!

There's a waiter who paid attention to my needs. Forgot his name but he gave me a bowl of cold water. My hooman likes their gatang kalabasa and tortang talong. We sat outside. As always I'm not allowed in the Aircon area... But t'was okay. Lots to see outside.

Ordered the pochero, tortang talong with sisig and leche flan for dessert.

Verdict: it'll be such a waste of time to write a long review. The pochero was 80% sauce, the tortang talong had perhaps about a teaspoon of sisig and the leche flan tasted like scrambled egg.

This is my first time here and will definitely be the last. This marks the first time that I regret eating in a place. Your friendly karinderia can offer better food with much better value than this place.

Oh, btw, their iced tea tasted like four seasons...

I first tried their branch in Shaw blvd, they had to close it down to focus on the one here in Taguig. You'll love how try cook the Filipino dishes. Their Menu is all about Tagalog cuisines. Why 1521? Cause Philipoines was discovered on that year! Haha! I really asked it when I had the chance to chat with the owner. She's so nice that she cooked for my relief operation 2-3years ago. I think for the Ondoy victims. Going back to my review, here's what I'll recommend...try their Sinampalukang Manok (Chicken is soft and the soup is tasty). Give their Bad bananas and Calamari ng Tamad a try too! You'll definitely enjoy their ambiance as well 128076

My friends and I ordered calamari ,potchero ni tankeko, talong mo kay tulfo, dory to heaven, and their house blend iced tea.

This is my first and definitely won't be the last... Love the ambience, the music, the servers are attentive, intriguing menu list, and of course the food...yum yum yum.

Of all the Filipino restaurants I've been to, this is the ONLY place to have the best furniture design! From the outside to the walls, CR( there's this awful smell though but because it's a Megaworld issue) and tables/chairs. All have beautiful vintage Filipino designs which is A W E some!!! 128077128076

We ordered their pork sisig, Laing, steamed boneless bangus, Tortang talong, beef Kaldereta and Lechon. Out of all of them, I was sooo intrigued and enjoyed with their Tortang Talong. Why? It's not your ordinary talong dish because instead of putting ground pork on top, they replaced it with Pork sisig!! The combination is really good! Genius right? The next dish that caught my eye was their Lechon as they've mixed it with Green Mango with Bagoong. There were a lot of fats though but the way they cook the Lechon is perfect! Skin is so crispy while maintaining the softness of the pork. For dessert we ordered their suman with mango on top. The suman is too sweet for our taste. The other dishes nothing to brag about. Serving for all dishes are enough. Price is okay. Around ~200/200++ per dish?

As a Filipino cuisine fan, this is the 3rd non-LJC resto after Mesa and Cafe Juanita that I really really enjoyed! Would definitely come back here a lot especially is I have foreign guests! :)

If you want filipino food but with a 'twist', you gotta try this resto called 1521..

My bf recommended me this one, to try. He's gone there once and he really really like their sinigang.

Perfect timing since we both have colds. That terrible feeling na parang walang lasa lahat ng kinakain mo. So we decided to order 1521 pork sinigang and binagoong rice..

Like i said earlier, their sinigang has a twist, where the pork is like lechon kawali.. It is crunchy and so tasty.

Actually, in sinigang, what i eat is only the sabaw and veggies.. I dont eat its pork kase parang hindi luto. Personal opinion though.

Their binagoong rice is the best, i actually eat it on its own.. Without the sinigang. Haha..
Ambiance is nice. There's paintings on the wall pertaining to Philippine games like 'piko' and 'tumbang preso'.

There is a mini lit-candle in the middle of the table making it sooo romantic! 1008410084️.

5 star for this!

Im sorry but i was really disappointed with the place. 128532 Place is nice but it wasnt well ventilated. Service was a little slow. Food was either just ok, bland, or tasted weird.

Last dec5 was my 2nd visit to this restaurant. It was my cousin's birthday. We ordered chicha manga pula - side salad, hari ng lechon kawali, tom yum inasal, dory to heaven, spritely squid adobo, bihon the sea, and birthday spaghetti. The ambience is superb! However, while we are waiting for our foods to be served, we found a cockroach near our table. Crew removed it, and because of that, they gave us desserts for free - nilasing na saging and sticky rice with mango(idk what do they call it) 128522 overall, food taste is good, nothing too special aside from their names. 128516

Underrated resto! Good filipino comfort food. They put some twists on those tried and tested dishes. Viands are good for 2 people already so price is actually ok. Comparable to nearby Cafe juanita and Abe, i daresay :) Nice wall mural. Good service, too!
