We found this bed and breakfast online and booked it as it was fairly cheap. P2000 for a room for four including breakfast? Not bad aye? You can even add additional beds for P500 each.
1896 B&B is quite hard to find although it's inside the heart of Baguio City. Walking distance from Burnham Park I think. Landmark is Crown Legacy Hotel. It's just behind it.
I loved how homey the place feels. Especially that there weren't a lot of visitors, although the guys there said that they were fully booked, we couldn't really feel them.
The B&B used to be an old house which was built last 1896. It kinda looks a bit scary (especially that one of our bathroom faucets wont turn off), but I did not mind at all.
The rooms are fairly large. A group of 10 could probably fit in it. Don't expect such quality though. Again, it's a very old house.
There are only two blokes running the place. They're very accomodating and would usually cater to each and every one of your needs.
Some people actually just go here to chill and drink. Happy hour is P120.
And every Friday and Saturday night, an acoustic duo serenades the visitors.
If you find yourself bored at the place, there are a lot of things to do. Play darts, billiards, watch TV, videoke or just mingle with the other guests who you'll only see at night. Lol.
I would highly recommend this place for those people who aren't so maarte regarding places to stay in. If you want a decent place to stay in that feels like home, 1896 Bed and Breakfast is the best for you.
