Got to see my favorite bands play in just ONE SHOW last night! Ahhh!!

Evil Genius held a Foo Fighters cover night here at 19 East with the bands Stomachine, Nyctinasty, Franco, Typecast, and Urbandub! Each band got to cover at least one FF song, then they played their originals. The moment when everyone's singing along sent chills down my spine (in an excitable way)! Feels like high school all over again!

The place was quite cramped (as other bars do). Few seats were available and we stood the whole prod; we got no other way to eat whilst standing so we held in our cravings for sisig and just let the music fill our hungry souls haha. (Note to self: arrive early and eat early).

We had dinner AFTER the show, which is around 1AM. I had the spicy tuyo pasta (P275) which wasn't spicy at all. Meh.

Quite an experience, eh? Nonetheless, I'd still give it 5 stars because I was so fulfilled last night AND the event wouldn't be possible without this venue! Sooo, thanks 19 East! Even the bands were thanking them + the producers for allowing this event to happen hahaha.

PS: I got a word that Up Dharma Down's playing tonight.. You know what to do. 128521

Went here by accident.. Meaning I had no idea what this place was, good thing they had a good stage and sound system. I sense a 40's-50yo scene going on here. It's a nice place to take your aunt's/uncles since they usually let show bands play here :)

Living in the South, there are a lot of places to discover. Most hole-in-the-wall places give me that WOW moment which makes it more fun to explore.

Just recently, Clarissa P and I were invited to dinner by some of her friends to 19 East. Its that place just to your left when you pass by Sucat whenever you're southbound.

Food tastes good as they serve a variety of pulutan and other meals. Spaghetti aligue, anyone? Their chicharon bulakak and baked mussels are noteworthy. 128541 Their dynamite wraps were HOT! 128545

A band (MYMP during our visit) plays which depends on the day you are there and booze or wine is served as you like. 128537 A Corona costs you around the same price as the entrance fee which is not consumable.

Ambience sold me out. Yet the prices are a bit high for a not-so "in" (anymore) place to be. The service crew are fantastic. 128586128585128584

We were invited and got complimentary tickets from Gloc-9's wife/manager herself. It was a superb night as Ebe, PNE, Gloc 9 and Kamikazee performed until 3 AM. Great great experience!

The place wasn't big enough to accommodate the crowd so others have to stand at the back. Nevertheless they waited patiently for the performers. Lights and sounds were great. Probably because of the big crowd, waiters had a hard time going to and fro to check on the orders.

After 100yrs, was able to get back to this place and brought d wifey for a saturdate night out (para maiba naman)

We r just a stone throw away from this bar but seems parenting keeps us away from going here, thank God for in-laws hehehe we were able to leave d kids for a few hours n have r "me" time.

We came in early and decided to have some "dessert" as we had early dinner at home.

Had ff
Grilled liempo-- yum
Fried squid head--pede na
Dynamite--pepper wrapped goodness 128640128640128640
Gambas--lasang knorr and overprice for d serving
Margarita
2 super dry

Total bill at P1400+

Around 945pm we went inside d gig area and paid P500/each to listen to ROUGE and SITTI.

ROUGE is a all girls band w rock n roll / slow rock repertoire...

We enjoyed their set esp Princess, d violinist, who upstaged everyone else w her music style.

When Sitti 's turn to perform, found it boring and too monotonous ,wc i find weird coz i love her music n albums n listen to it while driving or at home.

We additionally ordered ff
Dynamite- again
Roasted peanuts --maanta
2 san mig lights
1 blue coral
1 mojito

Total bill- P1.3k inside is more expensive than outside the concert hall.

Would definitely go back here and listen to old skul music of SIDE A, FReestyle and Truefaith !

Have been to 19east numerous times but this is the first time I had a semi bad experience. The place was packed for radha's gig and there were a lot of reserved tables so we got a table way in the right side almost near the kitchen and the door going downstairs. At first it was ok pero daan ng daan mga waiters etc. And then the reserved tables in front of us kept on adding chairs kse ang Dami nila e super sikip na, malapit na kme sa kitchen! So before Ako mainis and ruin the night, I just gave up our table to the group. Moved to the left side where apparently all our other friends were.
Set was great. Radha was awesome. Don't get me wrong, 19east still has one of the best acoustics here in the country. Maybe it was just a blah night for us.

One of the best places to watch local bands perform. I think Urbandub is one of the regular performers in 19 east as well as side a and kamikazee. Air conditioned bar, the entrance fee is 250-350 php. The foods and drinks are quite expensive, 1 bottle of beer costs 90php. Cool place to hangout with your friends or significant other.

Expensive! Went here to watch my boyfriend's gig and of course we cannot not order, so we got a few beers. One beer costs 105! If youre from the south, youd be surprised with this because in BF, a bucket of beer or a pitcher of a mixed drink only costs around 300. Our 300 would already have gotten us drunk.

Anyway, the place was tidy, not too crowded and very cold. Too cold. This place is only nice for watching gigs and not hanging out and enjoying a good night with drinks. Not unless its okay for you to pay 100 a beer.

Located in the middle of nowhere haha okay I'm kidding. Located in the far south where I have never ventured before, 19 East provides a different take on your typical bar and restaurant experience. Outside is a picturesque garden overlooking an equally picturesque view, inside is a comfy, intimate place to eat and listen to live music. I just loved the look of it, how everything was illuminated in candlelight, the paintings, the wooden tables and wrought iron chairs huddled close together, even the tiles were perfect. The crowd is in their late 20s and 30s (even older I think, plus their teen children) and before you assume my age, I'm 22 and I usually wouldn't hang out here but my officemates who are in their late 20s and 30s invited me to watch MYMP and Nina live.

The service was good and the food prompt to arrive. We ordered sisig and nachos plus a myriad of cocktails and other drinks. I mostly just drank tanduay ice, which at their price of 200 pesos is crazy expensive. The sisig had more onions than meat but since I love sisig (as I mentioned in a previous review), I didn't mind. The nachos were typical, and by typical I mean they were typically great-tasting, like all the nachos ever made in the world ever. I enjoyed both music acts, but mostly Nina because wow walang effort and she sang such difficult songs.

I wouldn't mind coming back here. If you're in the age range of the typical crowd or just a fan of opm music I highly recommend you try this place. 128077

Up Dharma Down's gig a couple of weeks back. Went here early on a Saturday night and my cousins decided that we eat dinner here instead of going for takeouts and just coming over to watch the gig. I didn't mind at first but when I saw their menu, I was like "I told you guys! We should've gone to McDonalds." We ordered chicken and sisig plus rice which cost us a little over 600 I think.
We decided not to order drinks anymore, and went to the nearby convenience store before the show started to buy finger foods. Their nacho plate costs around 250-300, a small plate of peanut 80-100. 128547
Anyhow, I really love that I don't need to go too far just to see my favorite bands live. Their entrance fee usually ranges from 250-400, depends on who's playing that night. 128077

My high school batch is slowly approaching its 25th anniversary (yes, I am admittedly old). We found out that being the host batch of a homecoming nowadays is no walk in the park. We even heard that one batch recently raffled off a car. What's up with that?!? And with the recent death of a batch mate looming over our heads, we thought it was the opportune time to meet up, discuss things and celebrate our friend's life.

So we had a small batch get-together here last Friday.

Being one of the organizers I had to be there on time to check if everything was in order. Luckily, two people had arrived before I did. So I didn't have to wait alone.

While waiting for the others to arrived I ordered the inihaw na liempo for dinner. I wasn't really happy with it. It was cooked but I had wanted a little more char on it. But given the occasion, I would like to focus more on the restaurant as a venue for reunions and the like.

Side A was scheduled to play that night, and with a non-consumable cover charge of P400, we decided to reserve tables in the garden area instead. Overlooking Laguna de Bay, the location was perfect for a reunion. Our section fit the 30+ people who attended, and with room to spare. A gentle breeze from the bay kept us cool and comfortable. It was a steady environment with no distractions, here conversation was king. The only downside? The mozzies and the insects. We were in a garden, surrounded by plants and trees, after all.

We had two servers assisting us the whole time we were there. So all our needs were well taken care of.

All in all, we were satisfied with the turnout, the venue and the service.

The challenge now is planning for the next batch get-together, this time for the northerners. Any suggestions?

Went here last saturday with my mom. We were invited by her colleague.
The place was very cozy.. Perfect place to chill out and spend saturday night while listening to 70's songs. The 70's super band and take 5 were the bands that night. Though I'm an 80's baby.. I really enjoyed it since i'm a fan of old songs.
We have one complementary ticket from my mom's friend and bought another one for me which costs 500php. Food and drinks was not included.. So we ordered arroz caldo, mango juice, kalamansi juice, kropek, and sizzling cheesy corn kernel.
We really had a great experience. I'm looking forward to see Nina or side A. 128516128077128077
