Its my first dining at this one of a kind branch of CBTL. Its name is 26th Bistro by Coffee Bean Tea Leaf. Browsing on the menu, there are plenty of choices compared with other branch. They not only have the usual menu like All-Day Breakfast, Salad, Pasta, Sandwiches, Cakes, Pastries & Coffee, but here they also serve wine & beers.

I ordered, Pesto Fusilli with Toasted Pine Nuts (P365), this has sun dries tomatoes, and strips of parmesan cheese. The pasta looks good and yummy. But serving is quite small, good thing I just have enough appetite. Taste is superb, i enjoyed the parmesan strips, i adds taste to the pasta.

I also ordered coffee, and I had a cup of Americano (P145). It is served in a big mug, but taste is watery 128549 as I always mention I prefer a strong coffee taste.

Pro's:
128077🏼super service. You will be quickly assisted as soon as you are seated. And orders are served quickly. Attentive servers.
128077🏼i love the pasta. Not my usual pesto.

Con's
128078🏼price. I find all the food quite pricey, compared with other coffee shops
128078🏼serving size of pasta is not reasonable.
128078🏼watery americano. 128541

Free wifi anyone? I was actually surprised they gave me the password to the wifi without charging me. Some branches charge about 100-200 for the wifi access.

I only had lunch here and ordered the U.S. Angus beef tapa (P395) from their All-day Breakfast menu. It includes brew coffee already and the equivalent of grande size so it's a generous cup of coffee na. Beef tapa is good! And good that they have vinegar for dipping. Spicy paumbong! The atchara is a gelatin atchara-flavored piece instead of the usual shredded papaya. Tomato slice with pesto is a good side. I really enjoyed this meal. Sunday is not a good day to really chill coz its packed with families with kids.

I got their loyalty card na rin for the free wifi on all their branches plus only one time fee of P195. It's reloadable so good as cash. I availed it coz I think CBTL is a good alternative for when I'm sick of Starbucks. 128540

To save up on my coffee consumption I decided to get a coffee dispenser from CBTL! Yayy!! I also decided to get a milk frother so I can make my very on CBTL specialty drinks at home. And it came with free cups and a planner! Plus I got different CBTL signature powders for Christmas to mix into my espresso shots and brews. 10084

I was assisted by one of the baristas with how to work the coffee machine. She sampled for me how to fix up a cup of Moroccan Mint Tea. I'm not a fan of tea infused drinks but I decided to give this one a shot and I loved it! It had a scoop of Dutch Chocolate powder and some steamed soy milk. Comforting and refreshing all at once. Aaaahhh I wish I was more adventurous with my food and beverage purchases then maybe I'd stumble upon more drinks like this one! :)

Ah! This flavored black tea called tropical passion fruit tea is a must try. The aroma of it – smells so good and the taste well, it's great! :)

Perfect for a tea time alone or with friends.

Until my next tea party,

I swear of all the CBTL branches I've been to this is by far the worst. The drinks we ordered were incomplete and it took so long just to serve a single slice of cake! On top of that the plate they used wasn't clean.

This isn't the first instance of a mishap here. I also encountered eating a burger here and there was a bone shard in it. I really think they shouldn't be serving food if they can't assure the quality of their commisaries.

Hipon, minsan asa plate. Minsan asa gym! Hahaha

Hi shrimps! I so miss you! Haha.

Last night , we are looking for a place to have a coffee or tambay mode and we saw the nice ambiance of coffee bean.

The friendly crew gave us the menu. And i am shocked with the menu coz there is a meal, pasta and more. Since i saw pasta and yesterday is fasting, i ordered tiger prawns pomodoro ( perfect). Speechless! A bit pricey but keri lang. It compensated the food! Hehe.

I ordered a 3-layer chocolate banana pancake (with banana slices and complimentary coffee or tea) that cost PHP225. The serving's pretty huge for the price but the taste is okay.

My boyfriend ordered the Herb Crusted Salmon for 495, the serving is smaller when compared to mine but he said it's yummy.

This visit to Coffee Bean was for a meeting yesterday. My staple drink here is their Iced English Breakfast tea latte.

We were all ready to order but then the waitress told us that the only available tea latte they have is Moroccan Mint and they were out of vanilla based drinks as well. The Blueberry Muffin our client wanted was out of the picture too. She said that it's because their stocks still haven't been delivered to ALL stores. Boo.

I settled for an Ice Blended Double Chocolate drink that tasted EXACTLY like Chuckie. How do I know? Because I was drinking a small carton on the way to the meeting LOL #kidatheart

Earlier this morning though, my co-worker told me that she went to the Coffee Bean in the ground floor after the meeting and all their drinks were available... Hmm...

Coffee Bean has always been my favorite caffeine place until today. Experienced their branch in Shang and it's so disappointing how bad their service was.

When I got in, they asked me to sit down and they'll give me the menu on my seat. After 10 mins, I had to go to the counter to get the menu they promised to give. Next is when I asked for a glass of water, I had to ask 5 times before finally receiving it. Last is the bill. I had to wait 15 mins before I can pay, until I just went up the counter to wait for my change. Just so they won't have any excuse to delay my transaction any further. This branch should have more servers.

Thought they served the same pasta dishes as the regular CBTL so I was hoping to order the tomato and herb linguine; ended up ordering the seafood marinara. Sulit, it had tiger prawns and scallops. Really good, worth the P395!

The servers were distracted though. Took awhile for our orders to arrive, and the girl seated next to our table complained that there was a strand of hair in her food.

Pesto Fusilli with Toasted Pine Nuts (P365), served with sundried tomatoes and parmesan cheese

Something about this dish makes me wish I were in a cabin in Baguio right next to a fireplace—or else, having breakfast at a campsite with the sunlight streaming through needles of pine trees. It is comforting, filling, and evokes beautiful reverie.

I have a suggestion though: the trio of pesto, sundried tomatoes (the taste of which I almost compare to anchovies), and cheese make this a tad salty. Bread would have been a welcome respite, but alas, Coffee Bean seems to think its price doesn't merit a complimentary piece.

Tried their tiger prawn and shiitake mushroom linguine... Without the shiitake mushroom. Say whuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut. 128551 It was still good though, with its white sauce and tiger prawns but I think I would've liked it more with the shiitake mushroom. I was a bit disappointed because I was looking forward to eating them mushrooms. 128534

We were about to leave after the server told us there were no more seats available but it's a good thing we were thinking of plan B in front of the place because less than 2 minutes later, the same server approached us and told us we were good. 128514 I was surprised the place was packed. The crowd was a mix of people having their dinner, groups enjoying their coffee and individuals reading newspapers.

Service was alright and the place was nice too. The branch at BGC is cozier though.

It was either this or Kimikatsu.

My family was drawn to the nice, high ceilinged interiors of the place, coupled with the relaxing ambiance the restaurant provided. Apparently, it's a combination of the CBTL coffee shop and a restaurant.

We ate dinner here, but oddly enough, most of us went for breakfast orders. I got the Rösti with smoked salmon, sunny side up, and sour cream (P345). The description looked tantalizing. A Swiss potato dish that contained layers of potato gratin deep fried with a helping of salmon, egg, and sour cream. Rösti for the Swiss is like how Sinangag is to us Filipinos, I guess. HAHAHA.

Mmmm. I thought it would be a waffle-like thing. Oops. It was only the size of a plate, reminiscent of a pancake. I was kinda let down with the serving size, especially given the price. There were only two slices of smoked salmon, and just a dollop of sour cream. The sunny side up though -- was fantastic. It was cooked to perfection: the yolk not too powdery yet not too runny, the whites chewier than boiled egg whites, but not charred like most sunny side ups are, and just the right amount of oil.

Although there were streaks of cooking oil left on the plate, I understood that it was because of the frying process, much like how fries would "sweat" oil if placed on a plate. The Rösti itself was crispy and tasty already (YAY POTATOES). As for the price, I'm not sure whether I'd order it again or not. Paying P345 and not getting full in a bistro/coffeeshop restaurant is not really the best example of value for money.

I ended up ordering a blueberry muffin (P85) as my dessert and to make my stomach less grouchy. HAHA. The muffin was on point. I had it heated, so the warm blueberries and the chewy muffin provided for a very good mouthfeel. Happy tummy!

I have to say, what made me give this place a 4 star rating instead of a 3 star one is their service. Our server was extremely friendly and knowledgable of all the menu items, and recommended to us which dishes were good. Also, I liked her honesty when she told us that "binabayaran niyo po yan [the presentation of the food]" when we said that the food looked photogenic, but it was quite pricey. Our water glasses were never left empty too. Props for good service!

Footnote: I LOVE their pesto tomato that comes with each breakfast set! So fresh!

It was cozy and spacious. Moreover they have a friendly staff, but the only thing that bothers me would be that there is no restroom inside. So you have to go to the nearby pay lounge of Shang :(
