Heyyouwh pouwz! Hehe.

Bechamel sauce, bechamel sauce? Yung gusto maging Popeye diyan, generous ang spinach, as in marami.

Taste was bland actually.

The restaurant's name bothers me... Should it be 2 Fishes? 2 two kinds of fish? I don't want to overthink it, it's not my restaurant. But I appreciated the reference...

Visiting this restaurant reminds me of Cafe Mary Grace somehow. Not as quaint or country, but still very adult. Truly fit for a Tita... I liked the homey ambience immediately.

The only had one server manning the first and second floors during my visit... Not too sure why, because the waiter seemed overwhelmed though the restaurant was only half-full... It was understandably difficult to man two floors. I had to ask him for water; I thought he was pleasant, just busy...

I ordered the Angus beef burger, one of their bestsellers as per the menu... I was really surprised when it arrived. It was drenched in ketchup and mayo... I was immediately wary of it, because nothing needs that much ketchup. When I had my first bite, I discovered that the burger was cold and the cheese wasn't melted. So they cooked the burger then jist topped it with cheese-- much like a fast food joint and a no-no at a restaurant. I also discovered that it was served with coleslaw, which I personally do not like in a burger. That explains why the whole thing was cold--cold slaw, cheese, and covered in cold condiments. I don't know why they were drowning out the taste of the patty with the ketchup-mayo combo. It drowned out everything else and you really couldn't taste anything else... It was also served with a side of lavosh... What is it? It is an Armenian unleavened flatbread used to scoop up food and is best paired with their jams and dips... This was the definition that was emblazoned atop their bar. I have to agree. It is best paired with dips and jams, not as a side for a burger. It was a nice kind of bread, but not for the purpose it was used in the dish.

As I worked my way thru the burger, I found parts that were undercooked and really cold. Thankfully it was beef and not chicken... So I didn't like it. Well, the bun was okay... My plate looked so dirty after, with excess ketchup and mayo all over... I skipped the dessert that I was initially planning to get. Maybe coffee and desserts are better here? I am not sure... Sayang, the atmosphere was nice. But I did not enjoy that burger, not worth P210... I'll stick to Hanako or even try Ally's next time.

This place brings good food to the table every.single.time. I can not get over their brined fried chicken. But my fave? Their Beef Salpicao!!! When we eat there, I always check their menu but I always end up ordering the same thing, salpicao and brined chicken. Not so expensive considering that their food is that good and serving is big. Try their tempura, its not soggy and oily.

I had lunch at Hanako so I opted to have coffee and dessert here. I ordered their Dulce De Leche cake as recommended by their server and since their only coffee option is brewed coffee, I had that as well. For less than P200 per slice, it is a pretty big serving. For someone who doesn't like sweet stuff, this cake is good. Coffee is pretty meh for me. I was told that their wifi was not working when I inquired.

Along Don Antonio, a bit far north of QC is a commercial establishment called The Rock. It's a great "tambayan" place since they have a number of nice restos and services. One of the restos is 5 Loaves and 2 Fish. We just tried the place because of its ambience. It has a country feel, very comfortable, the place was quiet with a faint string guitar playing at the background. The lighting was perfect.

Hubby and I ordered Lavosh (Turkish unleavened bread) with Pesto Brulee, Angus Hotdog Sandwich, Spaghetti with Meatballs and Cocoa Banana Crepe for desert. The food was okay. A bit too flavorful but okay. Service was great. A lot of selections are in the menu so we would definitely go back. Overall, giving it 4 stars mainly because of the ambience and service. They did a great job on that.

Very flavorful dishes although some might think it too flavorful. The steamed fish had an orangey twang to it and a bit of kick. The pesto with sundried tomatoes and dulong pasta were loaded and filling while the caesars salad was light and good enough for three even. Nice setting, friendly staff (friendlier owners) and value for money. Can't beat that.

A fillet of fish under a puddle of veggies wrapped in a paper before steamed. That is a fish 'paa-pee-yot' oh I forgot the spelling but that is how you pronounced it.

Waiting time depends on what you will order. Boyfriend's salpicao was served 20minutes after my order came in.

My dish was light, clean and refreshing to my palate. Perfect for a late dinner that you cant avoid cause your tummy just cant wait for breakfast.

I think my new goal is to be able to try all the restaurants at the Rock. 128513 The whole place looks really nice. It's like an Il Terrazzo minus the grocery (there's a Robinson's supermarket across the Rock though).

Anyway, it's not really my first time to go here but I only found out about 5 Loaves and 2 Fish 'cause of looloo and the good reviews for this place.

Tried their lasagna and brined fried chicken. The lasagna was pretty good. It was really cheesy and beefy. The brined fried chicken though was just meh. It was dry and it tasted like lutong bahay fried chicken. The fries that came with the order though were good. Plus their house blend iced tea was great! 128077🏻

Service was good and the restaurant looked really cozy with their colorful chairs. I'm pretty sure they have other better items I have yet to try. Will definitely try this place again!

Two hamburgers and a baked salmon. Wonderful food. This is my fourth visit and I have yet to find a dish they don't do so well. This time around, we had the Angus hamburger and four cheese salmon and both were very good. They were light and flavorful. Nothing fancy, just great tasting food. The soups are always good starters whether it's the French onion or pumpkin. Two thumbs waaaaay up. Keep it up!

Still in its soft opening so the menu is a bit limited. Still, the BBQ Pork was cooked just right and can give TGIFriday's a run (see my previous post). The cold house tea tastes good but is rather similar to other teas offered by other establishments. Anyway, forget the drink and enjoy the food. You won't regret it. My friend had the dulong pasta and swears by it. Something for me to try when I go back, and I will definitely go back.
