Deliciously cheap! 128514

It's always jam-packed but its worth the trouble of waiting because their food is so good and the serving is abundant. So go their with an empty stomach!

Schools about to start and summer is nering the end of it so if you're looking for a great last minute unforgettable trip to end your summer then this is the place for you. Baguio City, a highly urbanized city in northern Luzon in the Philippines. It is geographically within Benguet. According to my dad from a website that he read Baguio is one of the most famous cities in the Philippines and has been celebrated as the Summer Capital of the country for the past 99 years. Baguio is one popular tourist destination so I suggest going there at months where it's not on its peak.

You could only go there by land and it would approximately take you at least 5-6 hours depends on how fast you go or how much stopovers you take though. We went there on a not so crowded time which was great for taking photos without much people in the background! Upon arriving there you should definitely try this restaurant named "50's Diner". It has some really good food for a reasonable price! Also I loved their shakes because it was served thick.

Burnham Park, Camp John Hay and Mines View Park are just some of the tourist spots to go to in Baguio. Strolling down Session Road and shopping in an ukay-ukay (thrift shop) is just one of the fun activities you can do there. Of course your visit wouldn't be complete without trying the Strawberry Taho and Strawberry Ice Cream.

So what are you waiting for? If you still have time and have no idea where to spend your last few days of summer then head on to Baguio and experience all those there personally! 10084️

You'd often find this place packed with people. Everytime I'd go to Baguio, I'd wonder, uy masarap ba dyan!!??? Bat andami laging tao???? Since the place is always packed with people, I would eat someplace else. Finally during my recent trip, my cousin and I finally fulfilled my curiousity. I was excited, although my Tita warned me that "malalaki lang talaga servings dyan", ofcourse I didn't listen and still went to eat here. Lel.

I got a set meal, I forgot the name but it was composed of Baked Macaroni, 2 pcs. chicken wings and 2 pcs. of this deep fried roll. The food reminded me of school canteen food.....bland. 128566 My cousin got a fillet mignon and it was hard as a rock daw. I ordered a chocolate milk shake, while my cousin got a strawberry one. I've tasted better in other Baguio restos. 50's diner disappointed me haha I don't get the hype, it's just another overrated restaurant. Price wise, yes, it was cheap, but I recommend you go to other restaurants in Baguio.

This place was always jam-packed whenever we passed by..

We ate here because the line in Canto was cut off. All I can remember was the cool red car parked in front of the diner and that their servings were big.

You can't leave Baguio without trying this place.

BEST STRAWBERRY MILKSHAKE EVER. I drank two glasses (NO REGRETS) not too sweet + super creamy. Aaahh perfect combo 128525

Besides the milkshake, there was nothing really special about the food. Its just that everything was in HUGE serving. We ordered Hamburger, Cordon Blue, Grilled Chicken, Pork Chop and Meatballs.

As the name implies it's interior is 50's inspired.there's a jukebox and posters of famous artists during that era are posted on the walls;servers wear pink uniforms.this is my favorite spot in Baguio,i never fail to visit this place whenever i'm in Baguio. Wide selection of food-quality is good and servings are big. if you got a huge appetite but don't want to spend much-go visit this place. Yum!

100th reviewer for 50's Diner! It's been quite a while (say 3 years) since the last time I ate here. Decided to head up here a little early for dinner but as usual, even at 4:30 PM, the place is already jam-packed. We were second in line, next to a group of 3 waiting outside 128546

My usual orders way back college days are either a plate of Mama's Kidd, Guy On The Hood, and one of their milkshakes. But this time, we went for Meatballs Rice, Cheese Burger and Mama's Kidd. All meals came with a glass of their house blended iced tea. Took a while before our orders got served. There was nothing really special about the Meatballs Rice. It was too dry and it lacks flavor. The Cheese Burger is American in size, but was served too early, hence the buns lost its crisp. I like how thick and big the patty was, but it was a bit dry and has that umay factor after a few bites 128534 Mama's Kidd, on the other hand, hasn't lost its charm (at least for me). It's a serving of chicken, pasta, salad, and a choice of either rice or fries. Almost typically like a Greenwich meal. I like how time slows down as their feel good 50's music plays. However, we didn't get to enjoy our dining experience because the place was too crowded and noisy since a lot of students (most of them talking about their previously taken exams) were also in the area.

Prices are just okay, still the same as before, but as a former regular, I think a lot has changed, from the quality of food to service. But for those of you who are new to 50's (or to Baguio), it's still worth a try.

Finally was able to try this when my grandma, sister and I decided to visit Baguio and I told them that we couldn't leave Baguio without trying 50's and so we did. 128513

When we first stepped inside the place was really that of 50's from the lightings and fixtures everything is nostalgic. 128588🏻128077🏻 So that redeems the name of the restaurant. Hihihi!!

A lot of people were lined up outside were like number 10 from the listing and we said that we would not make it to the terminal if we would wait that long so we opted to have our meals taken out.

*Schnitzel - this meal consists of two breaded pork with rice and mixed veggies on the side. It was great very tender and flavorful at the same time I was surprised to see that the servings were really that huge or should I say humongous. LOL! 128514128514128514 But no seriously, the servings were good for sharing you could just order an extra rice for it but still depending on your appetite. 128077🏻

*50's Famous Burgers - just a plain burger, but HUGE with fries on the side. The burger is well flavored I guess. It's good for sharing too. 128588🏻

Value for money is definitely sulit!! Worth the wait narin!! 128522

Okay. So I heard you can't leave Baguio without eating at 50's Diner. And I'm glad we passed by this restaurant.

I would have given the place 5 stars if not because of the old man (maybe the owner) who wouldn't let us sit in the area we wanted to sit in because there was a group of six people lined up to eat. We were only four, and the area couldn't really fit six people, but it had a slightly longer table. We knew we were going to order a lot wherein the small table for four wouldn't be enough.

Anyway... The ambiance is really cool. Almost similar to what we'd see in the Western Movies. 50's era songs playing, neon lights glowing, chrome finishings shining. Really good.

I ordered the Gambler's Choice. BBQ Spareribs with Rice, Shrimp and Veggies.

For the group, we ordered the Game Time I think it was. I can't even remember what was in it. There were shrimp, chicken, beef, pork, veggies, and rice. All in generous amounts.

My girlfriend had this fried roll thing called Vegas Rolls/Wraps that had crabsticks, mangoes, cucumbers, carrots, mayonnaise and some other stuff in it. That was the highlight for me.

Everything was spot on. Really large servings, quick to serve, great taste, very affordable. This was actually the only restaurant that we ate at where we paid less than P1000! Amazing! 128077128076128522

My husband and I will not leave baguio without visiting this place. Their watermelon shake is my hubby's favorite. We even just do road trip from manila to go here. Just crazy but it's worth it. The serving size is quite impressive while satisfying your taste buds without chunking too much from ur pocket.

Blown away by the big serving. You'll dine in hungry but leaving full and happy. There'll be no regrets after dining in, just the fact that you may have eaten way too much. 128514

Always visiting 50's diner whenever we go to Baguio cause they have the best dishes to offer!! :)

Their meal serving is american-sized, if you know what I mean.. The plate is full. A meal that could fill you up below 500php.

The ambiance of this diner brings you back to the 50's wherein jukebox is present and the milkshake bar is very precise with the design.
