The servings were huge 128563 that was the first thing I noticed when we went inside the diner, we saw the overloaded plates on the tables and the joint was still crowded even it was during the wee hours of the night, we waited a few minutes before a table was freed up and so upon settling I was able to look around the place, it looked exactly like a classic diner from the US, not that i've been there but from some of the movies i've seen, it has a homey and vintage feel to it, the interior is filled with old movie posters, photos of famous celebrities like elvis, manilyn monroe, audrey hepburn and many more, and if you'll listen closely the music sounds as if its coming from an old juke box, the music is also vintage 128526

Menu choices however were also good, they have a lot of varietes and combinations ranging from wings, pastas, sandwiches, milkshakes, and even beer 128077🏻 here are some of the dishes we've ordered:

Full House 127831127831127837🌯🌯
It's composed of two wrapped Las Vegas which is a deep fried roll filled with crabstick mangoes cucumber with a creamy mango dressing paired up with two huge buffalo wings (just fried chicken coated with a not so spicy barbecue sauce) and some baked macaroni. It's definitely a huge calorie bomb that may ruin your figure on the spot 128541 on serving is good enough for sharing and no other additional orders needed, it's filled with oily deep fried goodness, so rich and fatty you can have a heart attack finishing the whole plate

Pancake Tower 127765127765127765127765127765127765
Pardon the emoji 9996🏻️ the plate had six thick and dense pancakes heavily flooded with orange and mango sauce and topped with fresh bananas and mangoes, the dish was literally heavy when i tried to lift it up and it took me two meals to finish it and i took most of the fruits out and gave it away but still i felt really really full when i finished the first half during dinner and second half during breakfast the next day.... yeah we ate twice here so i had dinner breakfast and then lunch 128514

The Famous 50s Burger 127828127828127828
Well we paired this one with the full house, burger was almost the same size as the plate, it was served with some cold stale fries on the side, well it was a classic burger but nothing special and it was very plain basic

Milkshake 127840127840127840127840127840
Le boyfie almost skipped the milkshake selections until he heard me say "look there's ube" 128518 he loves ube so much he wouldn't think twice on ordering it, I wasn't able to taste it coz i was too full to even sip water but despite the bloat he still managed to finish it up to the very last drop, according to him it was creamy and tasted like the ube ice cream we usually eat, well this will remain a mystery to me unless i go back and order some

Overall price was very budget friendly and the servings are big enough for sharing, i would definitely spend my fatty cravings here again the next time i visit baguio. Just a tip, try going there an hour and a half earlier or later than lunch time or dinner time so you'd get to sit on the booth, i supposed we didn't expect a crowd when we went there for lunch, but when we went there to have dinner we went a little over 10pm so the crowd was fewer and we were able to grab some seats quicker

Their strawberry shake is a must try! Not to sweet.

Guys on the hood and gangsta gangsta had a plain taste. But it's worth a penny. Daming food sa plate.

Price and service is a thumbs up! Super dami ng tao pag meal time.

I didn't expect that the servings would be *that* many! My Fillet Mignon (P270 I think) was accompanied by side dishes like soup, crackers and a small bowl of salad. The Fillet Mignon itself was a bit tough and chewy but it was flavorful. They kind of rushed the cooking and preparation.

The chicken meal (forgot the name and the price -- is it Grandma's Fried Chicken?) also had big servings. It came with a sunny side up fried egg and chop suey veggies.

My sister was kind of shocked when her own order, Olivia's ham (she chose it because it had her name on it hehe) came. It had big cuts of ham, big pineapple chunks (I joked about the pineapple being "bloke ng pinya" hahaha), salad with lots of grated cheese and rice. She felt she couldn't finish them by herself so she shared it with us. I loved their strawberry ice cream shake... Syempre.

Masarap naman food nila... Their servings were huge they were good for sharing.

The music was good... All the old stuff my dad plays and they were all familiar to me. 128513

Who wouldn't love to go in a fancy place like this?
On our way to our hotel, we stopped by 50's diner. It's a well known restaurant in Baguio, known for it's unique and thematic 50's aura.

It is definitely INSTAGRAMMABLE. I swear. Anyway, I recommend you go here an hour earlier before meal time. We went here for dinner, and we waited for around 30 minutes.

Since the restaurant is popular, expect a lot of guest to come in. The owner is there! Which surprised me and he is very nice to even entertain us and ask if we're okay waiting. Good thing is i'm with my friends so we weren't able to feel the waiting time despite the hunger!

Some restaurants looks "good" but their food don't taste "good". But 50's diner's food is really good! And served hot. Their shakes are to die for! They have a wide range of fruit flavors. Omygosh.
Most food in the menu are American Cuisine so expect burgers and fries, pastas and chicken.

The price is average around P150 per order but super busog kana afterwards. It's a chill place and i'll definitely drop by again once I get back in Baguio.

Overall rating: 4/5

Ordered the shrimp meal - buttered shrimp with vegetables and choice of either rice or fries and cream of mushroom soup. The shrimp was bland tasting - I've had better at Dampa. The soup is watery and left little to the taste. I dined with friends and most of them didn't enjoy their meals as well.

It's time to rock 'n roll mumuh! Still authentic as what US diners used to be. Sounds, lighting, overall ambience and menu. Cozy for a quick meal or a value-for-money food trip.

I had high expectations when I went to this place after reading so much hype about it. I didn't mind the long queue and the fact we had to call the waitresses ' attention a couple of times before we could place our orders.

What really ticked me off is when my order took forever to arrive and my family's almost done eating. When the waitress approached us, she remarked "Kayo pala yung nag order ng shrimp. Di po available eh." with a smirk at the end. I have this rule never to be rude to any staff in any restaurant coz we all know what happens to our food when we do so but so help me God I retorted, "Wala pala akong pagkain, pinahintay mo pa ako almost an hour. Anong nakakatuwa dun?!?"
I settled for the most basic in their menu which is a tuna sandwich(what could go wrong with a tuna sandwich, right?) and when it arrived, my family rolled into laughter because the bread was incredibly huge you have to break your jaw before you can chew on it and the tuna filling was paper thin.
Never again, 50's diner. Horrible service and modesty aside, I think I can prepare better food than you do.

*On the spot. (I haven't finished my food yet) haha.

Tired from walking. Went to 50s diner for early lunch Got Mama's Kidd. I liked the chicken... But I think like it could've been better. Fries, salad and spaghetti were so-so. Priced at P110 served with iced tea, twas reasonable enough. But as I said, everything could have been better..

loving the cold weather here at Baguio! but first let's eat @ 50's Diner! the place itself is crowded and the seats aren't that spacious. I liked the theme 50's classics! I ordered Mix grill for 205 and that was really good! very affordable.128522 poor service because they've got few staffs. konting smile din128513

After we checked-in at Hotel Supreme, we hailed a cab and asked the driver to take us at 50's diner.

My best friend Felix said that the servers were wearing skates way back. Today, they don't but some wear costumes. :)

Totally packed around breakfast time. Luckily, we scored a table.

Our breakfast meal was around 90 to 110 pesos. I had 2 sunny side up eggs, a hotdog and strips of bacon. Bitin. I was expecting many strips of bacon. Hehe.

Will probably try the club house next time. Big serving. Good for sharing. :)

Until my next food discovery in Baguio.

Your fellow bacon lover,
Princess
