It was my first time to watch a gig in 70's Bistro and the moment I entered, I instantly fell in love with the place. Unlike other gig venues, this one's more spacious and has better acoustics. The sound system was really good. You'll feel the music wrap around you (or maybe that's just me lol).

Entrance fee is a bit more expensive but it gets you a free drink at least. A bottle of beer costs P95, quite steep, right? It's worth it though because of the spacious air-conditioned place, good acoustics, and enough seats for everyone. I'll surely be back to watch more OPM artists. 127908

Airconditioned so no smoke, which is the case for most rock bars. Great place to come and see your favorite bands/performers and be up close and personal.

Go there early for the place fills up fast, especially on a night when mainstream artists are lined up.

Food and drinks are pricey. Eat dinner someplace else before going there. Restrooms could still be inproved.

Saying goodbye to a legend. This was one of the last gigs that Cynthia Alexander played before moving to the US. If I remember correctly, she had 2 shows here & 2 shows in Conspiracy. It's sad that independent artists like her doesn't get much support & more often than not, gets noticed by the record labels despite having a huge following. As compared to the other bars, 70's is huge & has a big area. You have to come in early if you want to get the seats near the stage. The pizza here is good, but the other items in the menu is kinda expensive as compared to other bars. There is fast free wifi here as well. If there is a prod, expect the service to be slow since the place can get packed.

Trivia: Did you guys know that Cynthia & Joel Ayala are siblings?

It's all about the music. Enough said. =) met up with friends last night & lo & behold, Session Road was playing. Before them, we were watching a documentary of Jimi Hendrix during Woodstock. They have renovated the place so it doesn't leak when it rains. The aircon is cold & the wifi is fast as well.

WE LOVE THAT WE CAN REALLY JUST BE OURSELVES IN 70’S BISTRO.

When I enter the beat-up French door and see the old familiar walls that have probably witnessed more rock and roll than I have, when I see kuya Carlos, the ever loyal resident staff waiting to serve me my first beer for the night, I feel like I’m coming home, back to my roots, back to the heart of my adolescent years. If you ask me why I’m proud of where I grew up, it’s not because of the sentimental crap behind my childhood days. It’s because I sprung from a line of Jeproks (Pinoy term for Hippies), yes, an anagram of the Projects, where 70’s Bistro was built. Finding the perfect place to kick back after a long day at work, or just to lose the blues, or just to let your hair down could be a daunting task at times. You spend the last minutes of your office hours guessing where to go and hoping that the band will be good, but then you end up shaking your head and leaving with shattered eardrums of the bad kind. In 70’s Bistro, you can never go wrong.

A classic place for live bands to perform and rock out! Drinks and food are cheap but small servings. Place gets really cold when all ac's are open. Try their sizzling pork sisig. It for me is one of the best underrated food out there. Best time to go would be Friday night. Parking can be a hassle though.

An all time classic.

A recommendation for those who are so hip they go there where the hipsters don't go anymore but will soon return because they want to be hip.

Cool regular live music and the best, and cheapest, sauna in town whenever Razorback performs.

Not as authentic anymore since renovation but still the place to go if you're hipper than the hippest hipster.
