From the makers of Philippines' first activated Charcoal-enhanced frozen yogurt, BLK 513 open its new concept that offers Charcoal-infused nachos and red fries, they named it 80 Queens.

80 Queens Eastwood branch is a combined food stall with BLK 513 and it is located at the second level veranda of the mall.

I tried the Charcoal-infused nachos for Php170.00 it comes with 1 sauce and 1 garnish. I asked the counter what can he recommend for the sauce. He let me pick between Sriracha Cheese, Full Cheese and Truffle Sorcery (additional Php25.00 for premium sauce). I choose the Truffle Sorcery sauce garnished with bacon bits.

"The cream based sauce grabe ang flavor... Ang sarap! Nakalimutan ko ata name ko and bagay sa black nachos."

Overall, I enjoyed eating my black nachos... masarap! Especially the Truffle sauce. But I find it " medyo" pricey.

I like Black.  80% of my clothes sport the shade or the lack thereof,  I rock a perfect winged black liner, my current TV obsession is Black Mirror.  So,  the decision to swing by 80 Queens will not surprise you,  yeah?

From the same folks who brought BLK 513 comes a new foodie destination that uses the same thing that makes their yogurt dark.

Activated Charcoal Baby!!!  Ze black substance has a myriad of health benefits.  Hell,  it helped me get rid of my middle-ahe acne breakout a couple of years back.

Unlike their sister from another mother,  80 Queens offer black nachos and red fries.   Sounds odd eh?  Well,  the nachos are infused with activated charcoal and ze fries are made of red beets.

Black Stack.  This set comprises of black nachos with a sauce and a garnish of your choice.  The options are as follows:

| Sriracha Cheese
| Curry Yogurt
| Jolly Gravy Hack
| Homemade Tomato Soup
| Happy Hour
| Bean Chili
| Truffle Sorcery
| Bleu Risk
| Matcha Salt

| Caramelised Onions
| Mixed Nuts
| Crispy Bacon
| Parmesan Cheese

Nope,  i skipped the "usual"  and took a risk with Bleu Risk and some Crispy Bacon.  Price is a lil different for "risk takers".  I am not sure if i added Php 20 on top of the regular rate (Php 165).  The nachos are ordinary.  The only thing that makes it standout is the dark hue.  What made it special is the awesome sauce,  the bleu cheese is not as strong and works well with ze nachos.   And yes,  i didn't have any Walking Dead Flaahback after the first bite

Matcha Summer.   This is the greenest drink I've ever seen.  It scared me a lil bit (cue bad experience with Wheat Grass here).  I deliberately took my sweet time with the photos before i took a sip.  Lo and behold,  it doesnt taste like matcha...wait...whutt?  It says Matcha Summer of the menu though....

I was expecting a matcha latte-ish kind of flavor but i got a lime x lemon x matcha concoction.  Did i like it?  Uhmmm...yeah...sort of.   It is not what i expected and i can't deny the fact that it is really refreshing.

Sunset Tea.   CMA said this is good.  No chance to take a sip as i got a lil dumbfounded with ze matcha summer.

80 Queens is worth the visit for those who want to satisfy their curiosity.   Well,  it is different,  we are naturally drawn to ze obscure,  that is how our brains are wired.

Peace Out!
