8 cuts is back at Greenbelt! After deciding to move out in their shared space with Manam, they’re back at Greenbelt 2 located at this individual building near National Bookstore. They say this the biggest 8cuts to date, and it’s impressive how they added new items on their menu and now have their own craft beer and a bar. Their appetizers now has fried pickles and loaded tex mex nachos while they also offer platters with the best of the best of their appetizers. Of course their wings are a thing now and best paired with beers.

Looking for a beer and burger promo? Well they've got you covered. Until Dec 3, they offer a promo with Heineken; their official beer partner. For every purchase of burger form 3pm to 7pm, you’ll get a free bottle of Heineken. So yayyy!!! We ordered their 1/4 pound cheeseburger and we chose grass fed for our patty as it’s more lean. Haha. Trying to minimize that fat effect, huh? We also had their skinny fries and onion rings. Need not to say more about their onion rings as it’s voted as the top onion rings in Manila. And it’s true! Perfect fried with this barbeque like flavor and equal proportion of onion and bredding. I love how crispy it is. Their skinny fries is a little salty for me, but my friend loved it.

Their cheeseburger is now better than ever. Something’s different so I had to ask what that is, apart from having a little more of their mayo like spread, they now use onions that’s been cooked with apple cider vinegar. It lessens the “umay” effect and have a certain taste but I did not expect it to be apple cider. The patty is really beefy and juicy. I loved it! The buns are toasted and tasted a little sweet. Big chunk of melting cheese and good proportion of patty to bun making it easy to consume it by using your bare hands.

They also offer everyday steals that starts at Php 299, available from 11am to 5pm. The staff are attentive probably because we’re not there on peak hours. Despite just moving in, I am happy that their POS terminals are functional making it convenient for our credit/debit card needs. The interiors are minimalist. Overall, I like the new 8cuts place better. It allows you to have more space and breathe a little more compared to their old shared place.

8Cuts Burger formerly Burger Bar is one of my most favorite places to go mainly because of the onion rings!! Hahaha. I love their onion rings, hands down the best ones I’ve had in the city. Since they opened their first branch in Greenbelt 2, they’ve opened a couple more in almost every city in Metro Manila. I’ve tried the ones at Mega Fashion Hall and Serendra but this Greenbelt one is still by far the best branch for me. For some reason, the burgers have always tasted better at this branch. I can’t really tell why but yes, they do!

My staple 8Cuts orders are their Cheeseburger, a plate of onion rings to share (THIS CAN ALSO COME IN A BUCKET, YOU’RE WELCOME!), and a glass of their house iced tea which is iced tea done right. This would be my version of a happy meal minus the nice toy! Hahaha.

This place is always a good idea whenever I’m craving for a burger! Another thing you should try if you haven’t are their milkshakes. They have a lot of flavors to choose from but a plain vanilla one hits the spot. Their criss-cut fries are also really good. They sort of remind me of how twister fries taste but in a different shape, really good as well! I don’t think my 8Cuts meal is going to change any time soon but I am looking forward to new things from them, hopefully something new to add to my staple order! 128523127828

We dined at 8 cuts for their anniversary promo last September 13 in which selected burgers came at 88 pesos each (not including the service charge). It was a really good deal, since originally their 1/4 lb burgers are priced at 265-295. How about the taste though? At least we get to focus more on the taste this time.

At 11 AM, the lines were long as expected but they did a good job managing it by updating the customers of the queue status, making sure the line remained at a single file, and by giving free nachos with cheese (Nacho chips were a bit salty but the cheese tasted amazing, despite being runny). At 12-ish we were seated and waited for another 15 minutes or so for our orders.

Thankfully we were diverted from thinking of the long waiting time for our burgers since this was served first. I've always been curious to try their rings since I've read in a site that it's the number one among the top 10 onion rings in the metro. Upon serving, it was really hot that I had to put it down in between bites, but I'd rather endure that than have soggy rings. The seasoning they put on the rings (I could distinguish barbecue since it tasted similar to a certain brand that serves barbecue fries :P) really elevated the flavor and would make you want to eat more. In terms of its texture, I liked the fact that they didn't rely on anything that would add more crunch to it (I remember some adding breadcrumbs to theirs) and that it just had the right thickness of coating that would let you know that you're really eating onions and not breading. The rings weren't oily at all, or it didn't taste like the oil was already used for several batches earlier. 128513

What really stood out for me was the house smoked bacon which made this burger unlike any other burger-bacon combination I've tasted. The patty was juicy and tender but lacking on the taste believed it was further elevated by the bacon strips which were really tasty. Plus points for the size of its strips which were just the right size and did not require further breaking down (a plus for us people with braces 128513). Bun was quite okay, but I felt like they relied more on their sauces for the taste rather than the patties.

Q-Daddy 1108811088
I will only be basing my judgment on this from a bite since it was not what I ordered. The patty was the same as what's in my order - bland but at least it was tender. I was looking forward to tasting more of the jalapeño in their jalapeño-garlic ranch-tossed lettuce chiffonade (as stated in their menu) but was disappointed to taste none.

Despite this, I would still give the place another try because I believe the lack of taste in their patties was dictated by the slash in their price for the promo. And their service was great despite the heavy influx of people for the promo.

#loolooDroneGiveaway *fingers crossed*

I'm in love with the onion rings here. Really, truly. So goooood! Crispy batter + sweet onions = very, very yummy 10084

Also ordered the Bar Burger 3.0. Had a tolerable amount of spice, loved the smoked bacon, fried shallots, and pineapple pico together. The patty wasn't dry and tasty on its own

Late post :
I dont know about you but I like my burger huge, meaty, flavorful , juicy and therefore a dripping mess. I like holding it in my hands as I chomp on it. None of that lady like knife and fork cutting daintily stuff 128540128523128523

Burger's juices are meant to trickle down your fingers and you're meant to lick them. Well at least those burgers that are really good like 8 cuts.

Ordered their 4 cheese2.0 1/3 house blend for P345. It was huge for me. I can only finish half. Good thing the piggery were more than ready to take the other half.

Them piggery though will demolish two orders of 1/3 of any variant in one sitting. But then again boys have huge appetites.

Special mention to the truffled waffle fries, tongue twister I know. Although scrumptious, they were a bit expensive considering the small portion. Bitin the piggies.

The onion rings were crazy good too! They were crunchy and tasty . Yes the batter is a bit thick but we liked it. Cheaper than the waffle fries

Price: There were 3 of us sans any beverage - P1300++

Whenever I crave for burger, 8 cuts always hits the spot. For this visit, I went for something that you can never go wrong with: Classic Cheeseburger and Onion Rings.

CHEESEBURGER 1/4lb Php195 11088110881108811088
What I love about 8 cuts is their consistency in delivery really juicy burgers. Meat is always fresh and delicious. However, they could still improve on the flavorful. A little more seasoning would make the world of a difference.

ONION RINGS Php70 1108811088110881108811088
Hands down, the best onion rings in town! Could not chose a better way to satisfy my cravings.

Remember those daily steals 8 cuts offer? Skip them. Last time I tried, I felt really ripped off. Steal no. 1 is exactly what I ordered: 1/4 cheeseburger, choice of onion rings or skinny fries and a glass of iced tea for Php299. However, the onion rings/fries is barely half of the normal order and the iced tea is nothing unusual. I’m glad I didn’t gave in to the daily steal this time.

Really loved-on-first-bite this soft shell crab-wich. Tried this as soon as I read the review of Norman Lester T last March. It's a good size for my appetite, the H found it bitin. An extra order of a burger was in order.

First time to try their (non-spicy by request) wings. I liked it too. Skin was crispy, but I'd stick to the burgers. Wings are on the skinny side. Got it for my daughter who doesn't eat burgers, so I'm glad they had something for her.

Can't go wrong with their fries or onion rings.

Great service. My pet peeve with this branch is that the AC has never been ok here. Always warm (same as Manam on the floor beneath this). So I try to avoid this branch whenever I can. I just had an intense craving to try the crabwich.

It's also located on the second floor accessible only by climbing the stairs. Not wheelchair/stroller friendly.

Finally got to try the Soft Shell Crab 'Wich!!! I was actually pretty hesitant when I ordered it since it's priced at Php299, which is pretty steep, especially if it ended up not being good. But I wouldn't know unless I tried, right? So I did!

And it's actually really good! There's a mix of different flavors and textures with every bite and the serving of the soft shell crab was generous! What I liked most about it, though, was the mango. Brought a sweetness to it that cut through all the oil and the strong, savory flavors.

We ordered the Skinny Fries and the Onion Rings too. I liked the onion rings more because the onions were sweet, the batter used to coat them was flavorful, and it was deep fried golden brown! Yum!

I've been a regular of 8 Cuts for almost 3 years now, it was still called Burger Bar back then. They also recently changed their menu, taking out the design-your-own burger. But they replaced it with an equally interesting and curated menu. I'm quite happy that the new menu seems to offer leaner choices that are still bursting with flavor.

My favorites from the new menu are the A Half-Pounder Worth of Sliders and the Chick 'Wich. The sliders give me the same satisfaction as eating the other burgers, only less messy. And I get to try different flavors without eating too much. The Chick 'Wich gives me a nice alternative when I'm not in the mood for beef. Its fusion of flavors is quite unique – savory, sweet, tangy. The skinny fries has also been my stable side order. It's light, buttery and crispy. Gives a nice complement to my burgers.

I also recently tried their limited edition Soft Shell Crab 'Wich. It's a sloppy messy eat but the taste and textures are just so good. Buttery bun, tender umami crab meat, slightly torched cheese, with a little punch of sweet mango salsa.

8 Cuts also have interesting desserts, which are best shared. :)

Finally tried the 8cuts version of the Soft Shell Crab 'Wich! I don't think the Ooma version had cheese, so that's one difference. And the 8 cuts version seems to be more messy, like their burgers usually are when the juices seep out. But minute differences aside, I liked it too. I just can't decide which I liked better... maybe I should give the Ooma one another try...

So now, the bad news. I hadn't gone to an 8 cuts in so long due to my crazy schedule, so I just found out that they nixed the Chinatown Rock Shrimp Poppers 128561 Noooooooooooooooooo! 128557128557128557 Seriously this is my favorite item on the menu, and not because I usually get a complimentary order whenever I visit this branch 128556128540. Now where will I get my Shrimp Poppers fix? I haven't gotten a similar recipe anywhere else. 128542128542128542. Dear Moment Group, if you ever want to give me the recipe I'm all ears 128540.

At least I had my onion rings for free as a consolation.

Shoutout to Arlene! It really feels nice to be remembered by a restaurant's staff 🤗

I've been seeing the Soft Shell Crab 'wich here on |ooloo from 8 CUTS x OOMA so I suggested to my officemates that we have lunch here on Friday. 128513

We all ordered the same plus some skinny fries and onion rings for sharing. 128076🏼

The soft shell crab 'wich is made up of 3/4 of a crab with mangoes, cheese, chives and more. 10084️ The crab pieces were quite big and it was hard to pick up the whole thing initially.

Two ways to eat this burger:
1️⃣ The "Barbaric" Way: Align the top bun and FLATTEN IT 128514
2️⃣ The "Dainty" Way: Get a knife and a fork and eat it by pieces.

Guess which one I chose? 128514

As for taste, it was really good!! 128525128076🏼 The crab tasted like crab. Crunchy and soft. The mangoes went so well with the whole burger.

As for the size, it might be a bit "bitin" for some people since it's not as big as the usual burger. One of my officemates said, having two would be too much, maybe one and a half would do the trick. 128514

There is no other specialty burger place that's as accessible as 8 Cuts. I tried this place out as I was looking for the most accessible premium burger place which I can really enjoy and can be a good alternative to the usual Champ, BigMac or Whopper and large fries meal. And there was 8 Cuts. Located just above Manam in Greenbelt 2, i expected 8 Cuts to be the solution to my cravings.

As I got my burger, I was amazed at how good it looks. It is very photo-worthy and to think that this costs only a hundred bucks more than the usual premium burger and fries from the three leading burger places in the country.

I got their cheapest burger, a 1/4 pound cheeseburger that tastes as great as it looks. The server recommended that I get their skinny fries and 8 Cuts' unique house/blend iced tea that's really cool with lemony-berry-like taste. And so I did. Though they also offered other burger and fries variants, I preferred the most basic combo so as not to veer away from the usual premium burger budget set by the big three. The burger, fries and drinks combo costs P320. Yes it is almost a hundred bucks more than your usual BigMac, Champ or Whopper meal but with the fresher ingredients and premium service, I guess it's all worth it.

Much as I loved the food, I'll have to take away one star as I'm not really a fan of the skinny fries, being the potato lover that I am. Maybe I'll try the other variants next time.

The best burger in town! I love this place so much, I bring all my friends here! Their onion rings and skinny fries are sooooo good you'll have to order it twice to taste it again. I recommend their Frenchie burger and cheeseburger. And to top it all, their staff are the best! Ready to serve with warm smiles and they treat you like a VIP. Kudos to their captain! They know how to make a customer very happy! Love you, 8 cuts! 10084
