My boyfriend brought me here for my birthday and it did not disappoint! The place was beautiful and the food was really good. We ordered Chili Calamari for our appetizer; it was divine. Definitely something I would go out of my way to recommend to people. For our ulam, we got Bistek Bulalo and Binagoongan. The waiter told us each entrée was good for 2, but we got used to restaurants telling us that an entrée is good for 2 when one can just easily eat it all up. That was not the case with 9 Spoons. Each could be good for 3, so we were pretty overwhelmed with how much food was in front of us hahaha. Definitely a bang for the buck with the quality & quantity you'll be getting.

SUPER SARAP Bagnet Sinigang!!! 2nd best sinigang I've tasted in my life. Haha Using bagnet added texture and more flavour to the typical Sinigang. Sourness is just right. The veggies are crunchy and fresh. 1 order is good for 2 to 3. 128077.

This restaurant is located in one of the top floors of the Bayleaf Hotel. We were looking for a coffee/dessert place in Intramuros and one of our companions suggested that we go here instead.

I love the ambience in this place. It also allows you to have a view of the entire Intramuros area. You can also see most of Manila here. Didn't realize how beautiful the city of Manila still is until I went here. We arrived around after lunch time and I suppose the view is more spectacular at night.

As we had just had lunch, we only ordered coffee and desserts. Coffee was freshly brewed and tasted delicious. In fact, I had 2 cups of coffee as it was so good I wanted some more.

For the dessert, I ordered the Felchin Chocolate Cookie Casuela. It costs Php290.00 and is good for sharing for 2-4 people.

It was so good. The chocolate cookie was huge, and served on a hot plate. Then they put caramel and vanilla ice cream on top. It was heaven. The cookie was so soft and moist. It was not too sweet. We couldn't "take out" for our friends in the office at that time though as the presentation would be destroyed. They said that there cannot be any hot plate if it is for take out and the ice cream would melt. The cookie would not be presented/ cooked as good as it was served on the table. I respected that and so we didn't push the issue anymore.

I will definitely go back to try the other dishes here!

The panoramic view of Manila makes the food more delightful in this restaurant. We enjoyed the food, the ambience, and the service. For me, the Norwegian Salmon, Classic Bagnet, Shrimp Fritter & Pork Rolls are worth every peso. :)

I was wrong to be a bit off when I learned that my dad planned to treat us to 9 Spoons for my birthday a year ago. Although I was curious about Bayleaf Hotel where 9 Spoons is, I was not so excited about the restaurant. I thought there were better options and boy was I so wrong!

I loved everything about the place-the ambience, the interiors, the service and most especially the food. Their Kesong Puti Fondue is a must-try! I also recommend you try the items on their Heritage menu most especially their different takes on bagnet. The prices are super reasonable as the servings are super generous too.

I'm very much looking forward to eating here again. Lesson learned: don't judge a restaurant before you even had the chance to eat there (if ever that makes sense). :-)

Oh gosh. Bad food, bad service. The kare-kareng baka was very tough and dry. The sauce didn't taste good. The other four dishes we ordered were so-so. The waiters never look at you and the food takes so long. The only redeeming factor is the great Manila view at the Sky Deck.

Located at the top of Bayleaf Hotel in Intramuros, 9 Spoons gets you to view the metro while munchin on their fancy-priced food. I liked their Kare-Kare, Laing and Sinigang na Bangus. 128077

As a person who chills wif the cheap thrills that are really bang for the buck, I just dont understand why their desserts, appetizers, and salads [which were not in the pic] are.. A bit pricey. Or maybe tis just mi. Hihi.

breakfast is said to be the power meal of the day. One hefty breakfast this is at P415 not much food choices for this buffet but the view of Manila is really great!

I love callos and I can't recall one that tasted this good. Finely done and did not have that gelatinous thickness of the sauce was just right. Add some chorizos and my favorite morcillas this makes it the perfect callos, even better than the one at a very highly rated modern Spanish restaurant in Taguig which is currently the talk of the town.

Also perfect lumpaing shanghai with coarsley chopped shrimp for added texture. Finely done bagnet too. I'm pleasantly surprised and impressed. Thanks to the rally, I would not have visited this place but it really is worth the trip.

The chicken saltimbocca was atrocious.
The beef tenderloin was tough and dry.
The adobo was okay. Wish I'd ordered that instead.
I think "okay" is the best you can hope for at this restaurant.
Pretty good view of Manila, though.

The food or the view do not compensate for the service they have.
