A veneto is our go to place for 'comfort food' style pizza and pasta. My all time fave is the bacon cheeseburger pizza which is served with heaps of bacon on top! Hubby chose the all meat pizza. Can you see how huge those slices are? 127829
We also got the baked ziti with chicken. Pretty good and good for 2. Total bill was around 600? Amazing!
One downside though are the servers just standing around and 'not looking busy'. I actually hate that at restos, Pwede mag punas punas or mag ayos ng mga baso etc. parang they looked so bored at work 128529

Picked up my niece from the airport last week (she competed in the World Math Invitationals, woohoo!) and after 5 days in China, I'm sure she's tired of Szechuan food! So we headed over to one of our family faves - a veneto!
We got a large size of their bacon cheeseburger, chicken parmigiana (as always) and my niece wanted to try the buffalo wings too.
Pizza and pasta were delicious as usual 128522 the chicken though didn't taste like 'buffalo' style, more like honey BBQ, almost like peanut satay! Still good but the meat was a bit tough. Still one of my go to places for pizza 10084

My girlfriend and I were craving for pizza and instead of settling in a usual pizza place, we decided to give a Veneto a try.

When we got seated, there were mosquitos flying around our table. The place was clean tho and it had a homey feel. Their service was fast. We got our orders in less than 10 minutes.

We ordered a slice of special pizza and seafood pesto pie which were reasonably priced (100+ pesos each) and meatball parmigiana (290+ pesos.) The servings were big and beyond what I expected. The meatball was tender and the sauce complements it well. The pasta was a gustatory indulgence. However, the special pizza wasn't. The pepperoni tasted cheap. The seafood pesto pie was able to turn it around tho as it was spoiled with toppings.

Overall, good service, okay ambiance, great pasta, okay pizza.

Been going a veneto since 2004 and it's still
one of my favorite pizza places. Made a lot of friends here too 128522
Had dinner pretty late (around 9) so there weren't any individual slices available. So we ordered the small pizza and had it split into two flavors, bacon cheeseburger which is my all time fave and hubby chose seafood pesto. Also got our staple chicken parmigiana.
Servers were still the ones from way back so I'm happy to see that they're still there. Food was Delish and super fresh.
Less one star cos the iced tea was too sweet, un Lang 128513

A veneto was one of our favorite tambayans in BF before. It did not behold the great ambience with the white walls and flourescent lighting and the dingy restroom (as I remember it) but the food was cheap and yummy. Perfect for a college student's budget. Since they closed and Mulligan's took its place, i kinda missed it.

It takes one of us girls to remember it and we found the new location also in Aguirre. Yay! I have to say that the ambience is much better, the food more glorious, the service quite ok, and even the restroom is cleaner ALL FOR THE SAME PRICE!! Dude, it makes a night. Sorry, am kinda not over it.

I don't want to recommend this place because it gets full agad. And when that happens i won't be able to eat there. Hehe kidding lang. I'm sorta territorial lang.

Their buffalo wings is to die for!!!

I am a fan of their food, but I am not recommending the tuna salad. It's basically lettuce, tomato, onions, canned tuna, and mayonnaise.

I would still go back for their buffalo wings and pasta. 127831127837127829127860

We really had no plans of eating out but no one wanted to lift a finger to prepare dinner so off we went "dinner shopping". It looked like everyone else had the same idea. Each restaurant along the "Aguirre strip" was
full so we pulled into the first vacant parking slot and ended up in A Veneto. Whether or not this was a good idea remained to be seen.

We wanted to keep things simple and started off with Tossed Salad with Bleu Cheese Dressing. Much to our delight the salad took on a different life when mixed with the dressing. It was certainly bleu cheese but the
surprise came from a very faint sweet flavor that married well with the cheese. Perfect with the fresh veggies.

Olive Oil & Garlic on Pasta with Achovies sounds pretty plain but A Veneto made this healthy dish such a tasty alternative. Unlike others I've tried, their version had more than its fair share of anchovies. Together with a light sprinkling of parmesan cheese, this lent a nice salty taste to the garlic and oil.

Another simple dish made wonderful with the addition of a secret dipping sauce was the Chicken Strips. I could not make out the delightful flavor but it tasted like "sweet garlic parmesan". It was such a favorite that we had the waiter bring us another bowl.

At the end of it all we were patting each other on the back for a good idea that turned into a wonderful experience!

When I first entered this establishment I was like: 'What the hell is that smell?' There's this inexplicable stench that I can describe as burned plastic, rotting wood and mold. I was pretty hesitant. After all, the place looked questionable.

But the food was good. I had the Meatball Sub, a meatball sandwich that was drenched in marinara sauce and mozzarella with a side of fries. My friends had some penne with the same marinara sauce and a couple of meatballs as well. The verdict? Them balls are so good! Plus they mastered the art of creating a rich and thick sauce. It's perfecto! *in fake italian accent*

This is one of those places where you don't judge the food by how the establishment looks or smells like, that's for sure. Good food, accommodating staff and affordable meals.

They also have a branch in Makati that doesn't look or smell funny. :)

Craving Italian? Head to Aveneto for those large, oozing portions for group sharing. New York pizza is yums and the Buffalo wings is a hit.

This place could have been a 5 if it weren't for the interiors of the Resto. It's old and is ill but of dusty. The food though was very worth it! Very affordable Italian food and yet very satisfying! I was very full! Till next time!
