Abaca restaurant- the Cebu version of Antonio's. Ok, maybe that's a little too much but
If I could give this place 100 stars for service and their prosciutto di Parma flatbread pizza, I would. At least for my experience tonight. 128515

We just had dinner there and I was overwhelmed with their exceptional customer service I just had to write a review right away.

Ambiance was really something- not kid friendly but if you're on a date or with friends- this is a perfect place to hang out, have good dinner and finish countless bottles of wine.

Complimentary breads were very good. Warm and appetizing. We had prosciutto di Parma with argula and sea bass for main course. Sea bass was delicious. Husband who rarely eats seafood loved it- we had white wine with it but the prosciutto flatbread pizza was WOW. I am not a pizza fan but we had one tonight because my husband (he can eat pizza everyday single day) has been requesting for it since yesterday and I thank God I gave in tonight. All ingredients were fresh, crust was delightfully crusty and the moment you take a bite- it's just a burst of flavour in your mouth. I just don't have a decent photo on my iPhone as the lightning is very dim and it would have been awful to use flash on food photography ;)

Chef came to check on us. Anthony, our server was very attentive. When we had to go back to Movenpick and I asked for cab to take us back, they had their resort van to drive us (whilst Movenpick was charging us Php250 for a 3 minute drive). He personally brought us to the van and carried our things.

I really loved it here I'm thinking of going back tomorrow for dinner again and have some salad and steak. Haha!

Live up to the hype? Ehh.. Not really.

We had my early birthday dinner here last month and we had to call to make reservations as the place just had limited tables.

Four Cheese Flatbread Pizza- It was not like the one in Wildflour, which had an underlying flaky crust, this one was more of a bread crust, if you get what I mean.

Whole Roasted Chicken- Mom said it tasted like the one in Savory... Ouch..

Seared Seabass Fillet- Hmm, it was a little tangy and had a slight flavor of white wine.

Tomato and Goat Cheese Salad- Abaca restaurants really have great salads, even the one in A Cafe!

The ambience, however, was beautiful. Dim lights, flowy neutral curtains and dark wooden tables just seemingly give this romantic vibe. It's no wonder a lot of sweet couples where dining there that night.

If you would ask me if the place is worthwhile, I would answer yes!

Lo and behold! This place is uh-mazing. Who wouldn't want a fancy dinner or an afternoon spree in one of the most exclusive boutique resorts in Cebu? We had the flat bread, the Veal pappardelle and the roasted chicken -- ALL soooo yummy!! Two thumbs up 128077128077 You should go there, guys! It's one off my bucketlist. 128521
