It was our ultimate vacation as husband and wife so I wanted everything to be perfect. I planned out our itinerary for Cebu City - Oslob - Dumaguete - Siquijor to be amazing and worthwhile. I checked out many hotels and accommodations online to see the choices and to compare their prices.
I wanted our accommodation to be near to the prime attractions in Cebu City so I checked out Fuente Osmena Circle. However, hotel rates on this area is a bit expensive to our budget. Then I saw ABC Hotel and Homes which is only few blocks from this spot. First, I read about their reviews and they have a highest impression through their customers. Second, their artsy and trendy photos were really what made me fell in love.
Upon entering, I saw the nearby shops and cafes on the groundfloor. We asked the guard on duty and he said that ABC Hotel and Homes' lobby is in the 3rd floor. We rode the elevator and proceded to the lobby area to ask for our reservation.
The receptionist gave us a card to access our room, the elevator, and the electricity. The staffs were polite and immediately assisted us to our room.
We availed the Superior Room for P1,500 with 1 King Size Bed which is good for 2pax. The room is air-conditioned and well-lighted. It comes with TV, kettle and mugs, safety deposit box, hair dryer, hot shower, towels and toiletries. They also provided us wifi which was fast enough for browsing. Upon checkin, they require P1,000 security deposit that will return after checking out.
Our room was clean and organized. Though there is no free breakfast, we just brought our own food and drinks. Even the lobby and hallways were also clean and there was no one loitering around. I like the motif of this hotel, the colors are bright to the eyes and welcoming and homey feel.
What I really love about this place is the location. It is just one ride away to Magellan's Cross and the Basilica, walking distance to Larsian BBQ, and other jeepney rides to the other spots of Cenu City.
On our next visit to the Queen City of the South, I made sure to check in to this hotel again. I recommend this if you are looking for a chic and hip place in Cebu that won't rip off your budget.
