We do not know where to eat for our late lunch. Then I saw Abe. I was thinking of ordering shrimp but I realized Im not in the mood for seafood. So Jai decided what to eat. We ordered Pork Sinigang in Sampaloc. The waiter said that it is good for 4 but the two of us finished everything hahaha! In my defense, it’s 2pm and we didn’t eat breakfast! Anyway, the soup is too sour for me. (I still prefer Aristocrat’s)

We also ordered leche flan and halo-halo. The halo-halo is too big! I only hate half of it. It was good! It comes with a scoop of ube ice cream, and ube. The ube is so good! The leche flan was okay. Jai also ordered buko juice.

Our bill was less than 1000php! I’ll be back next time to try their shrimp in aligue, and also their bamboo rice because it looks cool!

I was so disappointed
I dont mind eating in a pricey restau once in awhile but the food should atleast be good tasting..
This restau is Abe if you used the door from by the bay wing and adriatico when you used the door on the other side of the mall.
We did not enjoy any of the dish.
The food doesn't taste good.
I feel that we have paid for the ambiance which is something we can get from somewhere cheaper..

When dining with foreign visitors who would like to try Filipino dishes. The dips and condiments are very important for them to really appreciate the flavors and the feel. This restaurant does just that.

Must try pinaputok na pla-pla, kare-kare, baby squid rice, gising-gising & pork knuckles (signature crispy pata). For drinks I recommend you try their green mango. Sorry the other dishes are not in the picture , sa sobrang gutom di na napicturan 128513

A little birthday celebration for my grandaddy 128116

Given that Mall of Asia was the most convenient, the family members decided to dine at Abe since the celebrant requested for something Filipino. 128518

We had the Gambas Al Ajillo (my fave!), Klassik Kare-Kare, Lechon Cubano (anything lechon is my An-kong's fave! 128523), Binukadkad na Pla-Pla, Chicken Adobo, Watermelon Tanglad for drinks, Pinakbet for some veggie variety.

For dessert, I loved most was the Suman sa Lihiya with Latik, and Turon with Nangka at Ube Haleya.

The service was very prompt enough considering we had a senior citizen they don't want to be kept waiting. Cheers! +1 for customer service.

Overall for the food, dishes were okay and certainly achieved expectations as another LJC resto. 128079. This place is definitely for family and friends.

Pla pla, gising gising, monggo, squid rice, and adobadong manok. A definite feast for just 3 people and it was wiped out in an hour. The staff is friendly despite the rush and the food was great especially considering all that only cost 2k.

In a meeting with a client I had sinigang na bangus sa bayabas, sigarilyas sa gata, gising-gising, pritong pla-pla at buro, dilis rice and baby squid rice. Everything was good. The sinigang was a winner, the bayabas giving off a beautiful fragrance. The veggies were so fresh and crunchy. Highly recommended.

Came in to the restaurant first thing after moa has opened so we didn't really expect a crowd when we came. Funny cause we went into the abe resto entrance but we were seated at the other side (which is cafe adriatico). It wasnt really a hassle, we were 17 so we ended up their because of a bigger space.

They were so accommodating, my cousins just told the staff that we we will just be checking the menu and asked if they can accommodate 17 then everything happened fast. The tables were arranged like they did some magic trick, cool.

We were then given the menu, nakakalito actually because of two different menus that practically looks the same but has different food list (some). Funny because when we asked for how many persons a dish will be they answered if thru abe then it'd be good for 3-4 if with adriatico then 1-2, so, i was like. OKAY?! 128527

So much for that, lets move to their food. What we had were:

1⃣ Pork sinigang, the meat was very very tender, so tender that it might break for few more stirs. The soup was sour alright! Sour lang. 128547

2⃣ Fried plapla (in the picture), this really was a surprise. The fish was moist and was full of flavor. A must eat! 128076 My auntie and cousin never really ordered a plapla except for this and they almost finished the 4 orders. 128558

3⃣ Fried pork knuckles, flavorful and the soy sauce they have prepared enhanced the flavor more. Meat was so tender that it was easy to pull out from the bone.

4⃣ Palabok, it was a bit bland but they came generous with the toppings. Yet not the best that I have tasted.

5⃣ Gising gising, ummmm nothing especial.

6⃣ Lechon cubano, kinda pricey for the serving size, for me nothing special just like an ordinary lechon kawali. Their version is tender but too oily.

7⃣ Adobung Puso ng saging, the spelling was funny but it tasted good. The sourness was overpowering the dish but it complemented it.

8⃣ Sansrival, i've known this cake to be 'nakakaumay' but theirs was pretty good. Not too buttery, not too sweet, perfect almost melt in your mouth. But they made it cheap with the nuts 128533

9⃣ Oops almost forgot, they served us this cracker rice while waiting for our orders, it was good. So good that my fam asked for 3 more batches for all the 4 baskets they gave us. Funny nagbreakfast pa kami sa lagay na yun a. It tasted like shrimp kasi.

Overall, wanna come back if ever ill crave for a nice plapla 128523

After watching Pacific Rim on IMax, we looked for a place to eat, it was past 10, so most of the stores were closed.

We passed by Abé and decided to dine there.
We weren't sure if it was still open, so we asked the crew and they gladly accomodated us.

As a fish lover, I got meself the Binukadkad na PlaPla, and my friend ordered Bicol Express. The fish was quite big which was more than enough for the two of us. Tastewise, it was ok, however it was just like the fish you can fry at home, nothing special, I don't know maybe it's just me.
The Bicol Express was a bit of a disappointment too. I was used to it being hot and meaty, as I always ask my friend to bring me some whenever she comes back from Bicol. The one we ordered was 'soupy', if there's such a word, and all veggies. I was like, where's the pork?
And then I had watermelon juice which too sweet for my taste, it tasted like they put a kilo of sugar in it! Man, it wasn't my day!
Anyhow, the staff were attentive and polite, so it wasn't all bad.

My family and I first tried Abe on my father's birthday years back. My most recent visit was during my high school friend's birthday last June 8.

As usual, the food was really good. Although I am very much aware that these fishes can be easily prepared by every filipino home but it's the experience that makes it all different. I mean, it's great to sit down on a fancy restaurant, chow down a hearty home cooked meal and enjoy the company of good friends. :)

Baby squid as appetizer, their version of crispy pata and Laing with tinapa as main course. All were good but not outstanding. A tad pricier than I would expect. Still in food grouch mode I suppose...

One of the best Filipino restaurants. Their Sinigang na Bangus in Ripe Guava is one of my ultimate favorites. Try their Lamb Adobo sobrang solid! Ü
