Been going here regularly but keep forgetting to take photos. I like their salmon salad, squid or shrimp sushi and tempura ramen. Tried their wagyu stick one time and it was good except that they included the fat. This time I ordered their aburi beef bowl and it was delicious but too fatty. Next time i should ask them to remove the fat around the meat.

Aburi was one of those places i didnt expect to enjoy, much less come back to, but wow was I in for a surprise! Order anything from their menu that they "aburi" or torch with Aburi sauce and you won't be disappointed. The Aburi beef bowl is super addicting with its torched thinly sliced beef topped with crunchy potato strings. Same goes for the torched sashimi bowl and torched sushi. Heck I bet they could aburi leftovers and it'd still come out fantastic 128514

I ordered my usual Katsudon set. It comes with miso soup. Miso soup was great, especially since we went there on a rainy day. I can't say the same for my Katsudon though, for some reason i felt that there was an old ingredient there which made it a bit off. Might have been the egg. But aside from that, the dish seemed fine.

Meat was good and tender. The serving was large as usual. Value for money-wise, this place passes my standards.

Server was very attentive. Had my glass refilled several times throughout my stay, each time the server had a smile.

That's it for now. Take care everyone!

In Japanese, Aburi means flamed or seared with a flame. By doing this the fish or meat is partially seared and partially raw. This light searing brings out a unique smoky and fresh taste in every bite.

So true to their word, the Salmon Aburi and Beef Aburi Bowls have that unique smoky taste that complements the flavor of the salmon or beef. I like that it tones down the "fishy" taste of the salmon and highlights the savory taste of beef. Two different tastes brought out by the same method of flame searing.

Simply wonderful! 128523128523128523

Ok I think I've been to aburi 3 or more times before this review, I just got hooked! Love love love their wagyu sticks and I recently tried their spicy salmon sashimi which is just delish! They also have a wide variety of chirashi don's and hubby tried the Hawaiian one the last time. It's like poke in a bowl! Less one star though cos it took them about three times to get the bill right 128563 buti we studied it if not we wouldn't be paying for half of the food. Second time mali yung type of chirashi. Dapat may discount Na Sa hassle oh and no apologies too from the staff 128529 buti nalang masarap!

Father's Day lunch and we decided to leave a bit earlier to avoid the crowds. This place was actually a recommendation by one of our neighbors. Place is minimalist cute I would say.
Made the mistake of ordering the most familiar thing on the menu 128514well not really a mistake but should've reviewed the menu some more. I got the donburi beef bowl (of course I've forgotten the name), spicy tuna salad to share, Lorenzo's rolls to share. Hubby got their aburi chirashidon and my in laws shared an order of wagyu cubes.
Service was quick and servers were kind and knowledgeable.
My order arrived first and it was huge! Just meh for me, parang yoshinoya Lang. The spicy tuna salad came next and though it wasn't as good as Izakaya's, it's a close second for me! So happy! The wagyu cubes were 'melt in your mouth' good too! Btw we ordered them teppanyanki style instead of grilled.
Hubby's aburi chirashidon came last and it was a beauty! I guess aburi means torching the top cos that's what I saw they were doing to some
Of the orders. they also have aburi rolls which we are planning to try next 128522

Love this new Japanese resto. Sushi is sooo good and pretty. Their aburi salmon sushi is the best! Japanese fried rice is yummy, sukiyaki is yummy, tempura is steady, but the sushis.. Wow!! Spicy tuna salad and calamari salad are good too. Love it!
