Abby M and i have been looking forward to this free buffet in Acaci since early this year. And today, we finally indulged to our fat-ass selves! We had a taste of everything in the buffet table - from grilled fish to stick-o with chocolate.
The meals are good- it's not at par with The Spiral but the food tastes decent. We loved the grilled marinated salmon, grilled chicken, and of course, the wagyu steak 128514
The dessert items look good, and they taste okay. (I just noticed today that it is hard to find a buffet that serves killer desserts except The Spiral.) Nevertheless, the sweets are decent. Not bad.
I felt sad that the drinks do not come free, expect for service water, coffee and tea. But on the flipside, it's a good thing that the drinks come with a price coz i might drink too much if they are free, which will make my tummy fulllll.
Service is okay, there's this one server who is attentive to our needs. Shout out to ate! You're attentiveness is much appreciated 128522
Loved the place, it got good ambience. High ceiling, high windows. Good ventilation.
Had a good experience eating here in Acaci!

Impromptu trip to the south. 128517

Acaci Cafe's buffet lunch for PhP 1298 comes with unlimited champagne but there are only a few food choices compared to other buffet restaurants or other hotels famous for their luxurious buffet spread. You could even say that quality is just average. What's notable though is their impeccable service. Staff were very attentive and very polite.

The cafe is just small which makes you feel comfortable despite its stylish and classy feel. That classy feel ends though once all servers burst out singing their parody versions of popular songs for guests celebrating birthdays or even anniversaries. 128518

Since we are in Acacia Hotel over the weekend, we had their breakfast buffet included in our room stay

Surprising that there were lots of choices. Best ones for me include the bacon and tapa. Their salmon sashimi was also good and tastes really fresh

Waffle and pancakes were a bit of a let down. But the rest of the pastries were good such as the bread pudding and cheesecake bites

The real winner would be the drink choices - they have guyabano, kiwi, honey wheatgrass, and standard orange. My fave was the wheatgrass. They also have fresh honeydew juice and cold-pressed melon and cucumber

Not bad for a hotel breakfast buffet!

Breakfast buffet was okay. There were a good number of dishes to choose from. I love breakfast food but their buffet didn't made me one happy breakfast lover. I asked for one sunny side up egg, they gave me a sad scrambled egg. 128527 The only dish I liked was the tapa or beef steak? Haha it was tender and tasty 128517128513 Fruits available were just melon, watermelon and mango. They were all sweet (in fairness!!). The desserts were just okay. I liked their yogurt!!! 9786️ Service was good (but not consistent).

We had breakfast here over the weekend... I love hotel breakfast buffets! A great way to start the morning...

We were in line by 8am, but the place was already full! Many early risers here! We ended up sharing the table with another couple. To accommodate the number of guests, they have taken over their lobby restaurant as well, but there were more choices at the designated buffet.

We had the usual suspects- garlic rice, bacon and eggs. The French toast and pancakes seemed dry so we skipped that. We also tried their bread and croissant, which weren't too good. They had other choices to satisfy the healthy eater, the Japanese businessman and the Chinese family... They also had watermelon, strawberry and kiwi juice, on top of orange and guyabano flavors... They had champorado, sushi, and seafood choices... Plus they had a lot of desserts, more appropriate for lunch or dinner, but tempting nonetheless...128077🏻

I think the staff really tried to keep up with the endless line of customers and did so with a smile. 128522

Spread was very limited, you can try all in one go. Very different from the dessert area where there was just too many options to choose from.

Most of the food from their main course are quite sweet. However, some still passed my taste bud's standards..
You'd love their confectionary area though.
Breakfast buffet is really good with many food to choose from. One of my fave part is the cereals' area :)

All in all, they need to improve a little more

Had low expectations when we dined here, heard from a previous boss that their food was nothing special.
But as it turns out, what Acaci has to offer is not in the number of viands and dishes in their buffet. Sure, the top buffets in the metro had more than 50-70 selections to choose from, and from a variety of cuisines. But what I want to believe as Acaci's edge is that they only chose a number of dishes so they wouldn't overwhelm the palate of their patrons. If youre looking for a humongous spread, this isnt the place for you. But if you want a cozy and laidback environment in an elegant setting, give Acaci a try. I did, and i found myself appreciating their bread and (ohmigosh) extensive cheese array, as well as their seafood selection.
All in all, i would come back again given the opportunity128516

Not really satisfied with the spread. Everything is a little bit of different cuisines. Almost everything is unremarkable except for their iced tea and tortang talong with crabstick. The desserts are good though.

Food was cold, even the ones that were cooked on the spot then served to your table -- cold.

Plates and utensils weren't washed thoroughly. They were already running out of food at 8pm.

Desserts are fine though.

I can't believe some food bloggers are raving about this place. They should get their taste buds checked.

The Good:
Cheese and Bread Station
Braised Beef
Vinaigrette
Cozy Ambience

The Bad:
Very Poor Service
Limited Choices
So-so Taste
Oily Tempura

Overall, my dining experience would've been okay if my coffee was served with creamer/milk and I didn't have to wait for it until my coffee was already cold. 9749128078

When i told my mom that i'd be eating here with my friends, she was shocked and kept insisting it's not worth a try. Nonetheless i still gave it a go.

And she was right when she said that the buffet here is not worth it. The food was uhh..... Ok? I especially liked the herbed rice and possibly the steamed fish with almonds. Got steak and lamb, though tasty, it was served to us burnt. The rest were just so so. One of the dessert bars was good- Not quite sure what its called though. The best would still be the gummy candies (but then again i can just buy that in the supermarket)

Overall, if it werent for the awesome company i was with, this place would have sucked big time for me. And sadly, its definitely not worth 995.

I guess mothers do know best..
