Your money is worth it on this place.

Place for value:
Beautiful, cozy cottages.
The food is delicious. No bad reviews for the 2 days i spent here.
Ambiance is nice.
Friendly staff.
Reasonable rates.

The only downside for me is that they don't have a pool and that their beach use is only up to 6pm for safety measures plus the long drive going to here, but you won't mind that once you've settled in and stayed in this resort.

One of my favorite beaches! I didnt expect that I would find such lovely place nearby. I just went through their site and finally tried it myself. They have accommodating staff, good food, fine rooms and they also serve food by the beach - which I love the most!

Will definitely be back whenever I need a quick getaway from the city! 128525

This was our second option next to the famous Acuatico Resort, which just so happens to be their neighbor. Honestly, I'm glad we found Acuatico's daytour fee too expensive that we went here instead.

We paid Php 1,200/head for the day tour (non-peak season). This includes free use of day beds by the beach (on a first come first served basis), kayak, pingpong, darts, AM snack, lunch buffet and PM snack. I was really impressed with their service. Their servers were warm and welcoming, and you could even request that your food be served anywhere in the resort. If you want to have your breakfast at your day bed with a view of the sea, just flag down a staff and they will promptly serve your meal. The food was okay. Safe to say we got what we paid for.

I would commend the place's coziness and cleanliness. It's a pretty small resort but it's lovely and relaxing. Maybe the only downside is that they don't have a swimming pool. But since we really enjoyed our Valentine's date here, I'm giving them a solid 5 stars!

I said to myself not be deceived by the photos posted on the web ( mahirap masakaktan #Hugot) but this resort proved me wrong. What you see on the internet about the resort are REAL. I have stayed some of the resorts in laiya, some of them gives me a reason not to go back, but this resort gives me a reason to come back for MORE! This is the one that you can easily recommend to someone with no hesitations at all. I just wanted to commune with nature and take a dosage of #VitaminSea to make my day healthier and to escape the busy and noisy life in the city. It's all about #SWEETESCAPE weekend looloo-nions! 128538

I reserved the room with a sea view balcony perfect for sunset. The room was very clean and spacious. It didn't seem to have any of the little scratches you'd expect from a hotel, it's well furnished. Their beddings were neat and clean. Restroom was outstandingly clean and smells good. It was hot and sunny outside but cool and quiet inside. Their AC seemed new and was very strong. The massage was so relaxing...just got a body and foot massage - both outstanding. I also loved their can even sleep here because the guards were roaming around making sure that everyone is safe and secured. When it comes to the food, it was okay but can be improved. Stay connected and share you moments while you're here because they offer Free wifi and it's fast! A very cozy experience128079 The sea water is clean and calm so kids are safe to swim128512

What made me come back to this resort? My answer is their STAFF. I'm not usually one to pick or pass on a place based on reviews mention the demeanor of the staff, And....I really don't usually write about it either, but this staff is so remarkable that it would be an incomplete or neglectful review if I left them out. Our interactions affected more than my stay at the resort. The team is incredibly accommodating, friendly, polite, trustworthy and professional. Overall, they maintained a nice balance between attentive and respectful of guest's privacy. They treat you like royalty, but feel like old friends, greeting you everytime you cross paths. Your comfort is genuinely important to them and they're reachable with a timely response at all times. It's a plus that they offer outdoor activities like kayaking. You can also sight Mount Daguldol also known as "The New Zealand of the South from the resort. Cleanliness is well maintained, too!

Spending quality time in a magical place with quality service and high end facilities really just makes all the stress at work and the hustle n bustle of the city seem worthwhile. It's a bit pricey, but it's really worth it!!! Will definitely recommend this resort to my friends128512 By far, the best resort I've stayed in Laiya.

I didn't like the food. Too few offerings and none of which stood out.

I didn't like that you had to get a cabana for a big group on top of the entrance fee for a day tour (yep, mandatory.) The cabana was a long table with chairs, and a roof, and a walk to the beach shore. You had to eat at the restaurant anyway, so I didn't really understand the sense of renting one.

I didn't like that the shower rooms were so small and narrow. And had little ventilation.

I didn't like the coarse beach in Laiya and that the sand felt too rough on my bare feet (not that it was Acuaverde's fault).

I didn't like that they didn't have a pool.

And I didn't like that this was a 3-hour trip in the morning, and a 4-hour trip going back in the afternoon. Not really worth the drive for this.

Place was clean, though. Staff members were quick to their feet and accommodating.

If it's a bad review and if I sounded "whiney" (yes, there's no such word), will this hashtag still qualify? It's a decent photo so maybe I get a consolation prize: 128514

I love this place! It's small and doesn't have a pool but it has a lot of trees and the rooms smells so good and feels so homey! The food is good, not overpriced and has big servings. The staff are all kind, helpful and polite. Best part is, dogs are allowed! 128525128525128525

I had some cousins visiting from abroad and I wanted to take them to a nice, clean beach. I head great things about Acuaverde so I decided to give it a try! We decided on doing a day trip (allowed hours are 8am - 5pm) and it was a little over P1k/person. The price included a welcome drink, buffet lunch and PM snack.

Booking was easy. I made a reservation over the phone and they said I could pay on-site. I asked if I could just add the cabana later (extra P2k) because I wasn't sure if my group would need/want it. The rep said that would be ok. The rep was courteous and accommodated all my questions.

When we arrived the next day, the staff at the front desk was very polite. However, they were going to charge me for a cabana (the kind that holds about 10ppl, has a table/chairs and is located next to the reception desk--away from the beach). Apparently, it is not optional and a big group has to pay for a cabana. We were 6 adults and I didn't really understand why it was necessary....since lunch and snacks would be served at the restaurant. I told the manager that I was never told that it was mandatory. I even explained that I spoke in detail about this when I made reservations. The manager asked who I spoke with---um, I don't take down everyone's name...especially if it's a simple booking. At any rate, they said they would make an exception "just this one time". Honestly, that was a bit irritating because it seemed like it was my misunderstanding and they're just going to let this one slide, when in fact it was their booking person that gave out the wrong information! Well, not a huge deal since they were swift about deciding to waive it. There are smaller cabanas at the beachfront which are very nice and comfy and are on a first come, first served basis. The lifeguard was very helpful (cleaning up, setting up) and was attentive to all our needs-- always smiling and happy to help with photos!

The food was "blah". Lunch was Filipino food (buffet), which is ok but it was bland and dry. However their "make your own halo-halo" was good. For the PM snack, they served Arroz Caldo. me picky but it seemed odd to serve warm porridge in Philippine heat at 3pm, while at the beach! We were able to bring drinks and light snacks like water, beer, fruit and chips anyway.

Aside from relaxing and soaking up the sun, there are other activities like snorkeling, banana boat, fly fish, etc. super fun and those handling the activities were very nice and professional. Definitely do the fly fish and hang on for dear life!! There's an extra charge for those activities. They also have other activities such as board games, beer pong, table tennis, etc. free of charge.

The women's bathroom is decent but I hear the men's bathroom looks like a dark alley and you should "pee at your own risk".

We left a little past 5pm (was told during booking that we have to be out by 5). They didn't kick us out of our cabana nor did they rush us at all. Possibly because there wasn't that many guests, but regardless, we felt quite welcomed throughout.

I'd definitely go back! Next time I'll bring my dog!

Daytour for P1050 inclusive of lunch and pm snacks.
Rent of cabana P2000.

Place is beautiful. Not crowded enjoyed it so much. Staff are courteous and friendly. The trees and beachfront cabana helped a lot in the scrooching heat. The beach water is clean but need to be cautious since it became deep after a few steps.

Will definitely stay overnight next time. 128512

Wanted to go to the beach before the year ended so we booked an Overnignt stay at Acuaverde. Quick and pleasant drive and super accommodating staff. Even though they said they were fully booked, we didn't notice it too much. Guests were politely quiet except for a couple of Lolas who were gossiping nonstop on the beach next to our daybed. As in Ang lalakas ng boses!
Food was just ok for me. Better in la Luz. Needs more variety and fresh seafood. Ala carte items are a bit pricey too.
But as always, a great, quiet getaway

The beach was soooo beautiful! The downside is that there's no pool option, but if you're not afraid of the great waves, then that's fine just like for me! Buffet was good, but could've been better :)

The room was great although a bit small (didn't get to choose since the resort was fully booked then but loved our room still). Also, Loved the fact that all rooms have their own seating area/lanai where you could hang out and read if you don't feel like staying at the beachfront cabanas or if the cabanas are occupied. A plus on the personal hygiene kit and towels provided by the resort as most resorts in Batangas (unless you're staying at the really expensive ones) do not provide these .

Food was awesome. The Php 1,300 you'll be paying for your full board meals per day is great value for money especially since breakfast, lunch, and dinner is buffet style and the quality is not mediocre at all. Oh and the 24 hour unlimited coffee and tea? Yeah 128521.

Only downside is since you can't bring food in, you'll have to order your midday snacks at the resto which can be quite expensive if you're traveling on a budget and you're a snacker. The sandwich serving can be good for two provided you're not coming off a swim and are not famished 128523

Service was great and the people were very helpful. the only snag was the delay in checking in. It would've been ok if we were informed early on that our early check in request might not be granted (I was 8 mos. pregnant and traveling with a fussy toddler who was looking to nap in an airconditioned room already because it was really humid at the time). Instead, we were told "sandali na lang po" repeatedly and was asked to keep waiting without explanations or at least a timeline as to when the room will be ready. No apologies either. So their front desk people earn no brownie points from me.

Overall, the resort itself was great. It was well maintained. I loved that they have bamboo ashtrays and clay pots filled with water for washing sand off your feet in front of every room. It was a four star experience at a very affordable price. Oh and I just wish they have a pool.

Laiya is our go to place for a quick beach getaway and while browsing through Tripadvisor, I came across Acuaverde resort 128522 we went a few months ago in the middle of the week and the place is just lovely! It's right beside it's older and more expensive sister, Acuatico.
Since we came right after the holiday rush, there were less than twenty of us in the resort. Upon check in, we were upgraded to the other side of the resort since there were few guests. It's much smaller than la luz and they have curtained cabanas and lounge chairs on their beach front. Staff were very attentive and courteous.
Only downer for me was that we weren't served buffet style since they needed a minimum number of guests for that. It's ok though, will definitely go back!

Inquiring and reserving for this place is easy - they have a Manila office where you could call and make arrangements for your trip. The office staff were very friendly and responsive.

I'm really glad to have chosen this resort for our Valentine's day trip with our dog. The rates are relatively higher than other Laiya resorts (Our day trip cost P4900 - P2,100 for 2 adults with welcome drinks, lunch, and pm snacks; P800 pet fee; P2,000 cabana; free use of kayak and other resort facilities) but it's worth it. The place is very nice and clean including the common restrooms, and the resort staff are helpful and always smiling, and the food they serve are delicious.

I hope they'd provide beach towels for day trip guests too. And make their water sports activities more affordable... Will definitely be back with our dog and will try out their massage next time. 128522

This is my second time in Acuaverde and availed of their 3D/2N deal for only Php 10,500+ -- not bad compared to the regular rates.

We were scheduled to go there a week after the Super typhoon Yolanda, we can no longer rebook because my husband and I had to file leaves for this vacation and can no longer be changed.

Yolanda had left a few effects on this resort - the waves reached almost the entire beach front and has doubled the amount of sand than when we first visited a few months earlier.

There was no free wifi as well because the service hasn't been fixed yet.

The food is still really good and the best dish to add to my previous review was the Grilled pork belly, which was really good as well as Batangas Bulalo! On our second dinner though, they have served plated and limited serving instead of the usual buffet.

Overall, the experience is still very enjoyable especially to my 2 year old daughter who loves it here so much because they provide a play ground for kids 4 yrs old and below and feeding the Koi fish.
It is a resort that provides a lot of activities especially for families.

I will still definitely come back!

Thanks to Dealgrocer I got to chance upon a deal for an overnight stay in Acuaverde for only a little over Php 5,000.

The booking for a single day with their booking office was such a breeze. I just remember being worried because there have been typhoons around that time and was so happy that when we got to the resort it was very sunny and a perfect weather for a day at the beach.

This is my first beach trip in Batangas. I would say that from the moment we arrived at the resort, I have already been showered with great service and hospitality. While I was checking in, we were served with welcome drinks that taste like gulaman and the checking-in process was such a breeze.
We arrived very early and since the deal includes full board meals from breakfast to dinner, we opted to use our lunch coupon.
Their meals are in buffet style and I must say that they serve really great Filipino food!
From salads, soup, pansit, rice and the main dishes. Hmmmm mmmm mmmm! Of all the meals I had at this place the best dishes were the: Tilapia in gata sauce w veggies, Batangas Kaldereta w cheese on top, Shrimp and crab in chilly sauce. All sooo good!

The rooms were very clean, with great ambiance and great bed and bathrooms.

The resort was really cozy and really nice too.

The overall experience was SUPERB!

I will definitely go back and this is definitely one of the best resorts in Batangas!

Price wise, SULIT

Got a twin sized room at 6715 (20% off because of a wedding, just do the for reg price)

It came with 3 meals (for 2)
-day1 dinner (converted to lunch coz the wedding served dinner)
-day2 breakfast
-day2 lunch send off

Room is nothing special...
Average kind of simple resort room Lang

Can't make much noise because the adjacent rooms can hear you (and vise versa)

Good sunbathing area!
Typical laiya sand, painful gravel
No swimming pool
Good buffet food! Not superb but good for a provincial resort
