BEEF ADOBO COMBO because when you have a lot going on, it's not the best time to be choosy.

I'm not a rice person, so I was choosing over Adobo flakes nachos or beef adobo with gising gising (because greens). I chose the later

I found my adobo too sour :( Parang may datu-puti sakasim effect talaga sakin. maybe I'm used to the thick, slightly sour and garlicky sweet adobo at home (?)

the beef wasn't gummy or hard, at least. . . but the sauce was just tooooooo sour =(

Affordable meals. Unlimited rice.

I had beef shreds for my visit. Maybe soon i'll try their adobo flakes. They had a small place though.

This place has gone through a lot of changes since my last visit. The best selling meals are still there and yes, rice is still unli for all you boys and girls who think two scoops of rice is just not enough. So what is new?

The place has a new livelier ambiance and expanded seating which can now accommodate around 30 peeps (compared to only 20+ in the original dining configuration).

There are now more rice meals in the menu giving customers a wide choice of chicken, pork and beef adobo.

The rice has also notably improved. Grains are whiter and cooked just right. Earlier, I got their beef flakes (at P99 with drinks and unli rice) which is really good. I just don't know why they call it "flakes" when it is really more like corned beef with a special barbecue sauce. The meal already comes with their signature gising-gising!

Generally, we were awed with the good vibes of this place and will be coming back for more! Adobo Connection continues to be an ideal lunch and dinner place that gives you absolute value for money in this side of the Makati CBD.

Our usual favorite here at Adobo Connection is the adobo rice. At P35, the adobo rice is Adobo Connection's answer to the budget lunch. Two scoops of rice topped with adobo flakes. I also got their adobong kangkong to match the adobo rice - and it was a good match! The adobong kangkong comes with bits of pork giniling which somehow enhances the flavor of the kangkong. I just wish they had the same kangkong quality as Chowking's Chinese kangkong.

Adobo Connection frequently updates their menu and they do have lots of promos which makes us come here often. Service has also improved a lot since our last visit 128077
It took around 8-10 minutes for our order to be served.

We have been having most of our lunches here at Adobo Connection as their meals are really, really affordable.

I would say, their rice meals are very affordable. Parang pang-studyante! Imagine, their adobo rice (a meal with two rice servings topped with adobo flakes and sauce) is priced at P49 only! That's kanin with ulam already (well enough to fill your empty stomach). For some more ulam, kare-kareng gulay is also priced rock-bottom at P29! Adobo combo meals (chicken or pork adobo) range from P99 to P129 which is really sulit. Fish tofu is also great!

The dining area is quite small and can seat only around 25-30 peeps. Service is quite slow especially during lunchtime so one should allocate precious lunch minutes to wait for the order to arrive.

This review is all about their adobo pao and kapeng barako combo (@P79) which I had for lunch kanina. The adobo pao is quite good but may take some getting used to as the bun is fried. The pao was delivered 15 minutes (128531128531128531) after ordering while the coffee arrived after a good 25 (128545128545128545) minutes of waiting!!! Their kapeng barako seems to have no taste or aroma. I felt sad for my P79.

Learning really has it's costs :-( buti hindi masyado expensive. I'm hoping they improve on these -especially the service and the coffee. Sayang, may free refill pa naman sana.

For 154 pesos, I was able to enjoy 2 pieces of chicken adobo sa gata, kare-kare with tasty bagoong, a glass of iced tea and unlimited servings of rice! Now that's what you call value for your money!
