Went here for early lunch and late despedida for our previous boss so free lunch 128516128079🏼

Aida's Chicken House is located inside Makati Cinema Square. It has a very cozy ambiance. Their chairs were comfy too. There were paintings on the wall which were kind of weird but anyway, they really have a good Chicken Inasal! Compared to Mang Inasal and other restaurants in Manila, their Inasal was better. Soup was served first. I love it! Or I was just so hungry. I had to ask for another bowl 128517 I wouldn't forget the garlic rice in Aida's Chicken House. It was perfect! So tasty! Don't forget to add oil to your rice to be happy! Lol 128522 Every part of their chicken was edible unlike what I ate at Mang Inasal, there was a time where I couldn't eat the chicken skin kasi sunog! 128557 That was really sad.

It was quite pricey for Chicken Inasal. I didn't pay but I checked the menu 128517

Their service was fine.

I'd like to dine here again! 128522

I have read good reviews about this food house inside Makati Cinema Square, Aida's, which according to them, offers an original version of Bacolod Chicken Inasal. Luckily, I had a chance to try it with the officemates on a lunch.

It's chicken Inasal is good and comparable to the authentic Inasal you will get from the famous Manokan in Bacolod. I wasn't disappointed. :) I think the price is quite high compared to what they have in Bacolod. In MCS the meal will cost php 135, while in Bacolod it will cost you less than a hundred as far as I can recall. Hehe. Well that is acceptable since they are within a city and inside a mall. What I was searching and wishing to be in the menu is the inihaw na talaba (fresh) which they don't have in Makati branch (they have it in Bacolod at a very low price of less than a hundred!). Limited sources perhaps. They also have variety of dishes to choose from. We had pancit, mixed veggies (looks like chopsuey) and the ilonggo version of pata which I forgot the name. Hehe. Well, they are all good I must say.

Talking about the store interior, of course this one in MCS is an upgraded version, not to mention the paintings hanged on the wall which makes the space inviting and interesting from the outside.

Makati Cinema Square looks like it's deteriorating quickly, but it houses a hidden gem of a resto like Aida's. I was kind of ignorant about relating it to the best inasal in Bacolod. Errr, i realized this when i looked at their menu. My cousin brings us Aida's when she's here from Bacolod. #doofus

I was starving! Missed two meals already and was exhausted. My first order was salted fish rice. Excuse you! Flavored rice makes everything better! 128522 ok, ok, just in my book. Good thing I had Julie J and Kirby G to share it with me. I also order a pa-a (leg of chicken) still with rice, mind you. We also shared the ilonggo vegetable - it had knotted string beans and some porked cooked in gata. Mmmm, this was yummy. Carla M was the last to arrive so her food also came late. I had finished my cup of rice with the chicken and i had a bit more of the salted fish fried rice. It was full of flavor!! I wanted more but couldn't take in any. 128532 i overestimated my hunger and was soon falling into a food coma. The chicken wasn't memorable but it wasn't bad either.

This is a good place to hideout. Heehee! #sneakymoves

Others' reviews were right. This hidden inasal place is better than the mass produced inasal places by the bee.

Another unplanned Friday lunch out with #TeamClingy Makati peeps yesterday. Yes, hindi nalang Wednesday ngayon! Hahaha! #clingylevel99 128514 We had to choose a kinda secret spot (#ninjamoves) so we went to Aida's again. Kirby G Julie J Yina M arrived ahead of me so they were able to get a table right away. They placed their orders already while waiting for me-- Chicken inasal, Aida's Ilonggo Express and fried rice. Since I had inasal the last time we went here, I opted to try another dish on the menu-- stir fried cream dory with veggies. The fish was a bit salty. I liked the garlicky flavor of the dish though. It tasted like something you'd cook at home. 128513 I also tried their Ilonggo Express and it was yummy! This coconut milk based dish was a lil sweet but with a kick.128076 Would be a perfect pair for their inasal.

It took them a while to serve my order though. My companions were almost done eating when I got my food. 128549

Invaded Makati Cinema Square this time for some chicken Inasal.... and this place did not disappoint! I got the Paa part with rice, salted eggs and talong on the side, paired it with sinamak, soy sauce and calamansi and it's Inasal heaven! Carbs overload yet again... Sigh... 128514128513

Impromptu lunch out with Kirby G today at his favorite "secret" spot. Hahaha! Since it was unplanned, we didn't have any particular resto in mind but since he said this place was good, I agreed to give it a try. #kaladkarin 128516

Though the place looked old, it was full of customers which I guess was a good sign that the food is good. Aida's is a no-frills resto serving a variety of Filipino food but their bestseller is the Chicken Inasal. I copied Chinits' order-- pecho with rice. It was served with eggplant salad and salted egg. I must say it's sulit for P175. Unlike other inasal places, their chicken was moist, tender and really tasty. They also offer condiments like vinegar, soy sauce and chicken oil (I think). I'm contented with just toyomansi + sili to go with my chicken. 128513 Their bangus looked yummy. I'll try that on my next visit.

Thanks Chinits, til next time! Haha tomorrow na pala yun. 128514 See you guys! #teamclingyminaj 128077

They truly have one of the best chicken inasal in the metro. Located in the middle of ancient Makati Cinema Square, the little place has a Bohemian vibe, with wild painting wrapping the walls. There are magazines for the waiting, too. The vibe is not for the usual Makati resto though. There's a 10-15 minute for the chicken to grill. Ours tasted freshly grilled. The chicken was juicy and soft, and the breast part was generously sized. The skin was smoky and annatto-ish in color. We also loved the chicken tinola we ordered alongside put inasal. The broth was super tasty! Truly, eating here feels like we went to the roots of Chicken Inasal 128512

Best chicken inasal ever. Heard about this place from friends but didn't believe them till I got to try it out for myself. Their pancit is also fantastic, it has this distinct sesame seed flavor that makes the dish come alive. I usually don't like liver but with their pancit I couldn't stop eating!

Legit Inasal. Truly Ilonggo. Being an Ilongga myself, I'd say that counts for something. 128521

They also offered a wide variety of vegetable short orders which I liked coz I love my veggies. 127860
We got the stir fried vegetables (which was dominantly sigarilyas) with dory. It was aiiight.. a little on the salty side. We also got the pork binagoongan which was tender but nothing fancy.

I usually just get their chicken Inasal meal here, but decided to try something new. They have a pretty wide array of dishes: Stuffed squid, seafood squash, spareribs, liempo, and the list goes on!

I went ahead and ordered the spicy spareribs with kangkong. For P125 I would have to say this is an absolute winner! Generous amounts of kangkong drizzled with sweet chili sauce. Three medium sized pork spareribs chunks, lightly toasted on the outside so you get that crispy outer layer, then covered with their sweet chili sauce. Warning! This dish has a lot of heat 128293128293128293, I loved it and was sweating by the end of my meal. There were sili seeds on the sauce and they probably put around 5-10 silis in there. 128076

I'm now tempted to try their other dishes, used to stick with only inasal at this place. 128516

After meeting Jairus d and handing him his goodies, I decided to go have chicken inasal, I've been coming back to this one place ever since I moved to Makati. I was actually surprised that it wasn't on looloo (hooray 1st review). Aida's (yes the same one from Bacolod) has been my go to inasal fix for about 4 yrs now. I keep coming back! 128020

The ambiance is pretty much a carinderia type feel to it with plastic chairs and individual tables, but they do have paintings hanging around the resto. It's a gallery / carinderia in one haha!

Chicken inasal is one of my favorite meals and everybody has their own way of eating it. Chicken on stick, chicken off stick, sili on your sawsawan, no sili on your sawsawan. There are tons of combinations for this very simple meal. So here's my simple "how to" when eating chicken inasal.

1.) order your chicken, paa o pecho (leg or breast) - i always get pecho :)

2.) after ordering start preparing your sawsawan (dipping sauce). I usually have 2 silis, 1 calamansi, a dash of suka (vinegar) and large amounts of toyo (soysauce). My last step is to add chicken oil to the mix - thinking about it is making me hungry again...

3.) After mixing your sasawan like a mad scientist, your order should be arriving any minute, Aida's takes a while longer because they cook your chicken when you order it and not before, it's not preheated or precooked, to ensure it's freshness. Once my order arrives I usually put a bit of sawsawan on top of my rice + extra chicken oil. Saraaaaap!!

4.) Attack!! Eat like there is no tomorrow! 128055 I "try" to control my soda intake, but whenever I'm eating chicken inasal or any other bbq type food I just gotta have my coke fix.

So there - 4 easy steps - everyone has their own way of eating chicken inasal share your favorite places and combos, would love to hear em!

I'm also not sure if it tastes the same as the one in Bacolod, as I have never been there before, so if anyone has tasted the Bacolod version you can compare. A friend of mine told me the Bacolod one is still better, bit I can't imagine how that is possible, I'll have to try it myself.

I think the biggest difference would be the price, when I started eating at aida's 4 years ago the price for a chicken inasal meal was 135 for the chicken, 1 rice, and soup. Now it is already at 165 per order. I'm pretty sure the Bacolod branch doesn't charge this much!

Since it was Independence day I was feeling extra thankful for being born a Filipino, imagine life without liempo, chicken inasal, kare-kare, halo-halo! Parang ang lungkot ata! Haha so happy Independence day y'all! And sorry di ko magagaya ang malupit na all tagalog review ni Peach L! 128074
