This was recommended to us by a friend because we were craving for ramen. But this is probably the ramen place (of those that I've tried anyway) that I like least. It's affordable, yes, but we weren't too happy with the ramen and ramen was supposed to be our go-to happy food. 128532 For us, it kinda lacked flavor. It was too "watery", I guess. And there was an overload of veggies. We've never been a fan of ramen with too much veggies. We like it balanced. But the staff were nice and helpful, and the ramen was affordable, and we like that they serve hot tea. But the supposed star of the night didn't shine too brightly for us.

Never ever felt this full after a Japanese meal. Lol. I had Spicy Chasu Ramen. The chili/spicy paste comes in seprately which is nice since you can control how spicy it can be. The broth was flavorful and the noodles was cooked just right. I didn't like that there were big chunks of cabbage in the ramen. I wished they copped it a bit smaller like bite size pieces. But all was good. I'd definitely go back to try other flavors of ramen. Might even try the Tantanmen.

We were all full that we opted to walk to Greenbelt instead of taking a cab. Hahahaha hashtag fatty

I like the proximity to our office building and that it was empty on a late Wed afternoon so I practically had my ramen in peace. 128517 I had the Kakuni which just has stewed pork, leeks and bean sprouts. Noodles were alright. Broth was really good. The serving is quite big so it's good for sharing. I also ordered salmon sashimi and I loved it.

I still prefer other ramen places (Ippudo is my fave) but this is good enough for me to satisfy a craving especially that it's close to where I work.

I really do want to rate Ajisen higher since they do give that good and fast casual ramen fix like they're supposed to. And you also can't hold them to the same standard as the more gourmet ramen houses around. Like the egg wasnt aji tamago, but so what, right? 9786

But i cant help but notice the price is almost at that "gourmet" range compared to what we have in the south at the same quality. Quick authentic ramen, milky broth, slices of chashu, egg... i can get all that along Aguirre for about P200 bucks or even less.

That aside... yes, the ramen, gyoza, and spicy tuna were alright and the service was fast. 128076 Being my first time, i did have the chashu men, which is the Ajisen signature ramen (with fungus) and extra chashu slices. 128522

So-so. Found the noodles a tad too thick for my liking.

Their Ajisen Ramen is a must try in their restaurant. The broth is really flavorful. The serving is big but expensive. 2 person can share to one order.

Service is fast and staff are friendly. The place is not crowded even on a Friday lunch out time.

Slow service. The orders were big but the taste is quite bland for me. :( I find it too expensive as well. Price range of dishes is from 180php and up.

Tried this branch and was quite pleased with the speed and quality of service. Staff could readily answer questions on specific items on the menu (very good training). Plus, they were ready to entice us with dessert after we finished our main course (very refreshing to find a Japanese place with desserts! Not common for Japanese restos here except for the high-end ones).

My friend and I tried the stuffed mushroom as an appetizer. Would have probably better enjoyed some sake sashimi but, after deciding to add salt to it, it tasted better (note: even with the dipping sauce they provided, the appetizer was somewhat blah and it really needed some more seasoning or maybe some cheese in addition to the ebi/shrimp stuffing to make you keep popping that thing into your mouth!). The cut of the stuffed mushrooms were perfect, though. Just the right size.

I got the seafood ramen (wanted to avoid meat during this visit) and the broth was excellent but the rest was just okay (not ga-ga level). The classic Ajisen ramen and the beef ramen taste a lot better. Added some Japanese spice to my seafood ramen to liven up the dish.

My friend got the chicken kakiage (did I spell that right?)... He thoroughly enjoyed that with his Japanese fried rice.

Aside from the very responsive service crew, a few other good things about Ajisen at Plaza One Hundred: (1) servings are generous; (2) house tea is good; (3) interior was comfortable and allowed for natural light (important because of the limited space it had); and (4) ice cream with red bean and I-don't-know-what-else was awesome!!!!

My experience was a happy one because of good company, good service, and fairly good food at Ajisen. The dessert kicked butt!!! It was the best dish I had that day! :)

My friend and I split the bill which was almost Php1,200 with taxes and all. A bit steep but we had a lot of food which we devoured over almost three hours of catching up.

Service was quick, lunch time crowd at 1pm was thinning out so we got seats immediately.
Cool aircon and saw several foreigners dining it as well so i guess they got the right market.
Perfect location corner of rufino and delarosa near ayala avenue. 127843

It's been a while since I last tasted their food. I am a huge fan of their gyudon and ramen even before the ramen craze hit the metro. When I found out that they opened a new branch near our office, I checked it out right away!

Their signage is hard to spot so the best landmark for this restaurant is that it is right beside Maybank, along Rufino corner dela Rosa :)

Of course, I went for my first love, gyudon!
I encourage you to take a look at the photo... Go ahead, don't be shy :p

It's still the same sweet sauce... Over generous servings of tender beef and juicy mushrooms... On top of a pile of steaming hot white rice... With the flavors amplified by the raw egg yolk... Ahhhh... Heaven!!!

I will definitely come back for more! 5/5

Chewy
