It was my first time at any one of their branches. Frankly, I had no idea there was a branch near Banawe... But one night, I was out with my bf and his batchmate for dinner, both Banawe boys at the moment... They were dead set on having dinner here, being bitten by a ramen craving...

I hesitated. I am typically a bit serious when I'm on study mode. I don't like trying new things, preferring to be surrounded only by the familiar to avoid any distractions. Down to my restaurant choices, strict right? But, I think I was in need of a break that night. So I gave in.

This restaurant is located in an area I haven't been to before. But it was a nice, wide place with lots of parking spaces; in stark contrast to the typical Banawe establishment which sacrifices parking.

Upon entering, we were showered with attention by the servers. Wow! Let me tell you the service was on point. The staff were super nice and attentive! My tea cup and water glass were always filled. The food was served in record time. Everyone was all smiles too! Nice!128077

I decided to join the bandwagon and order ramen too... I got the Tantanmen, easy on the spice... The bf and friend had the ajisen and chasu ramen respectively... They also ordered gyoza, agedashi tofu, spicy tuna and dragon roll to start off our meal.

Since I was a newbie, I thought the servings were small judging from their orders... Oh my goodness, was I wrong! There was soooooo much food. We could have fed two more extra people, seriously... I think the two boys realized that they overreached as well when the food could no longer fit a table for four. #duuuuuuuuuuuudddddeeee 128517128517128517

The gyoza was typical, which was okay. I loved their spicy tuna, super addicting... The Dragon roll was also pretty good, but it was really filling... It was made up of ebi tempura, cucumber, and mangoes-- my bf's favorite roll there apparently... I didn't try the tofu anymore, because I needed to save space for my actual order...128517128517128517

Anyway, I liked my tantanmen... It's not Yushoken, but I liked it... Rich, spicy broth with hard noodles and minced pork. I enjoyed it, definitely... I didn't try my bf's ajisen ramen, which had bbq pork, boiled egg and cabbage... He liked it though... Our friend liked the chasu ramen, which was served with torikatsu on the side. We all shared the torikatsu as well-- pretty good... Sooooooo much food!!!128514128514128514

It was definitely not a cheap meal, though I was spoiled by the boys... They always do!10084️ I just think we majorly overordered... You would think we haven't eaten in days...

Btw, not one of us finished our respective ramens. Seriously.

Hiyashi Ramen (cold noodle) was a disappointment 128547 tasted bland and the ramen was bleh... The ebi tempura was okay though and salmon sashimi was fresh...one particular server needs to take a refresher course on the menu items since every time you ask about something, she would go, sandali lang and go ask someone else for the answer 128563128581🏻

Ramen wasn't authentic. Noodles were too thick, egg tasted like adobo egg which was hard boiled. But at least the sushi was good. Though it was WAY too big.

One of my go to Japanese restaurants in QC, quite near my place, the menu is extensive and the food isn't too shabby either 128522

The spicy tuna @275 is pretty good and the Take (5 kinds assorted sashimi) @388 was 128077 127843 Everything was fresh!!! California Maki @215 wasn't bad either... 128522

Servers were very friendly and fast, everything served within a few minutes plus My tea cup was never in need of refilling 128076

I like ramen.
The broth. The texture of the noodles.
I like it. 128523

Here, it was just ok. 128528

Had the Beef Teppanyaki Ramen which was fine. The beef was tender, the broth was flavorful and the noodles had bite, which is commendable but feel like there's still something missing. 127836127836127836127836

The Agedashi Tofu was a let down, not as soft as I expected it to be. -127836

The service was excellent! Didn't have to ask for more tea or water, they just came pouring in. 128518128077

Will give it another try. 128522

Out of all the ramen places, Ajisen is one of those that indeed give a bang for your buck. Authentic Japanese ramen, coupled with good customer service, as well as a variety of ramens to choose from are some of my comments when visiting here.

Nope, nothing special. And i thought the beef tepenyaki ramen would atleast be something. Anyway place was a bit cramped. Place not too fancy as well. But the service is very commendable. Serving was a bit smaller compared to other japanese and ramen restaurants.

I had the Ajisen Ramen the house specialty... the restaurant is 2 blocks away from my house i just wanna know what's the fuzz about coz the car park is alway full and i can see from the outside that a lot pf people are enjoying the ambiance and the food... Well i was kinda disappointed because theres nothing special about the house specialty and I think it was super ordinary! the servers were attentive though and they were very nice too..my friend who ordered the spicy tantamen was also disappointed...sayang! the place is really near my house but I guess that would be my 1st and last... Tsk tsk tsk!

Ramen for this rainy season128077 we ordered house specialty Ajisen ramen (265php)- noodles are firm, pork melts in your mouth and fresh veggies. Well the place is relaxing and enough to have a simple conversation and keeps you warm. They serve compimentary japanese greentea yet they service charge.

And I'm not yet done flooding Looloo with our food trips the past 6 months9996128513

Anyway, let's go down to the story. 128522
***Disclaimer: I'm not a big Ramen fan but I I'll try to give a fair judgement. Haha

So, we had our dinner at Ajisen Ramon along Sto. Domingo. It's one of the few restos along that street- right beside the resto of Erich Gonzales, can't remember the name of the resto.

The resto is very relaxing and quiet, not crowded compared to other Ramen places. You can seat anywhere you want. 128515

As for food the choices, they have a good list. We didn't expect some of the items there to be that expensive though. If I'm not mistaken it's close to Nagi and Nomama. Nonetheless, we still gave it a shot. We ordered Itadakimasu and Chicken Karaage.

Actually, we're still giving the benefit of the doubt. Hoping that it would be worth the price

Then the food came.

So, the Ramen can be shared by two people, as it is being served in a big bowl- which we always do everytime we eat Ramen. 128523 One thing we've noticed is that, it's not as rich as the others. Maybe you can both share the noodles but that's it. Anything that comes with it is good for one only. I also find the Ramen a bit bland. The Karaage is okay. It's not something that I'll be coming back for. Nothing fancy. It's just really a Karaage. Nothing more, nothing less.

Overall, given another chance, I might eat somewhere else. Maybe Ryu? I can get the same satisfaction or greater, while spending less.

I was in a hurry when I visited this place. Service was fast, place is neat, their people were all attentive and seemed to like their job. Above all, food is good, when I tasted the soup of Ajisen Ramen, it was as if I was "home" parang luto ni Lola! I will definitely go back to try the other ramens!

AJISEN - a special flavoring oil that enhances the taste of the unique kyushu style white pork broth. Intriguing.

Anyway, I ordered their Spicy Ramen. It's just Ajisen Ramen with spicy pork. The Ajisen broth was so so but with spicy pork like! I also liked the bbq pork. The noodles not so much, parang pang spaghetti! Haha. And there was not enough broth for the noodles. The ramen was okay but not really memorable IMO.
