Ramen craze is back in the food scene and hopefully this time it sustains for the long haul. Ajisen is one of the pioneering brands and they currently have 5 branches here in the Metro.

I got a bowl of Tantanmen, a spicy peanut based bowl with lots of ground pork. It was a task to eat at the start due to its spicy and high temperature state, so I placed two ice cubes in them. This order was decent, but I found it a bit expensive at Php 395.

I also got Agedashi tofu, the Japanese way to appetite you via soft tofu. It’s cut into silken firm cubes with potato starch and then deep fried. At Php 95 this was a good starter. It’s also a good source of protein.

We ordered Ajisen and chashu ramen. The servings is huge! The noodle is ftw. The pork bbq was tasty we wish ajisen had more meat as well as the chashu. The banana tempura was yummy. The coffee jelly is a so-so for me.

The service was really great. Staff are friendly and accommodating. My bf has a lot of additional orders , good thing they are very attentive even when its close to closing time already. They are still hyper and suggesting food items to us.

The location was ok. Even when they are kinda hidden on the alley side part of the mall. The ambiance was cool and very asian.

Will dine again with friends asap! :)

I ordered their Ajisen ramen and their crazy roll... The ramen was good but it wasn't unforgettable. It had a unique taste that's different from your usual ramen. The crazy roll was actually really crazy because the pieces were so big that I had a hard time putting it in my mouth! It was a hilarious experience and I guess I can say that my baboy level has risen yet again.

Price is a little expensive when it comes to certain dishes. The crazy roll was 455 and their Jurassic one was 555... Really now?? Nice service.. Food comes in fast even during the dinner rush. Unlimited rice tea (hot or cold, on the house.) I'd probably come back here.... But just to sample their other offers.

Ukkokei has a contender! I really loved their Ajisen Ramen - really rich in flavor.

Nikko & I ordered a bowl of their signature Ajisen Ramen since we were running low on budget. Good thing one serving is good for two people (who just had merienda). I would have finished the bowl by myself if I was super hungry. Anyway, the ramen tasted good. I liked it better than the ramen we had in Santouka. But I added way too much spicy oil that I almost had a near death experience with it.

Service was fast, as we were able to get our order for about 5 minutes. Just one thing that bothers me is the overly loud japanese greetings the waitresses shout every time a customer goes in or out of the restaurant. Because one does not simply greet an SLP with inappropriate vocal loudness :))

Today I tried my fifth ramen place... Ajisen Ramen at Robinsons Manila. Service was fast and staff friendly. They didn't get the sequence of the orders right (asked to have the gyoza served first for my two-year-old who was hungry and celebrating his birthday today but that was served last... Ah well). But, they were very attentive.

The soup of the classic Ajisen Ramen was rich like it should be, the pork cutlets soft, but the noodles felt a bit stiff --- like it lacked maybe a minute or two more in the pot before being served. I finished the bowl though! Yum.

We also ordered the Beef Tepanyaki Ramen and everything in it was excellent save for the ramen. Eeps.

Chives/onions in the gyoza overpowered the flavor of the pork. Have had better gyoza at other ramen places...

Overall experience is thus rated as OK. Didn't get bowled over but didn't leave upset either. Will still go back and try others on the menu. Price wasn't so bad for the size of the servings... Ajisen ramen was Php265 and the Beef Teppanyaki was Php395. Both ramen a could have been shared but we were so hungry when we got there from walking around and goofing around at Museo Pambata prior to going to Robinsons that we devoured our bowls. Gohan (rice) was expensive at Php60 a cup! Gyoza price was Php148 for five pieces.

And once again, I ordered the Ajisen ramen. So good! Especially with generous amounts of chili oil. 128515 Always satisfies my ramen cravings. My sister and I also ordered the karaage. It was crunchy, but it seemed like it didn't have much meat. It was tasty, nonetheless.

I really used to like Ajisen ramen before all the other Japanese imports arrived. Then it became a frantic race to try out the new ramen places. It's nice to go back to something familiar once in a while.

Ordered the Ajisen Ramen, which I liked! The broth was flavorful but not overly seasoned. The pork tasted good, too. The cabbage gave it a nice crunch and the noodles were cooked nicely. An enjoyable and filling ramen. Added drops of chili oil to add some spice! 128077

Also ordered the Crunchy Roll. It was yummy, as well. 128522 Was scraping off a bit of the mayonnaise though because it kind of overpowered the maki itself. Still a good item to order, though! 128516
