The review's meant for Manila Doctors Hospital branch along Kalaw Avenue. :)

So what should you expect in Cafe Amadeo?

Coffee. Rice and Pasta Dishes. Pastries.

Whenever I'm not in the mood to go out of the hospital, this is my place to be.

Place:

The place has only 6 tables, each table can only accomodate 2-3 diners. It gets full during lunch time since some health representatives, patients and others dine here. It's more of a "to-go" place.

Service:
The service isn't extraordinary. It's okay and nothing's special about it. Their talkative, loud and noisy manager must be the culprit. I can't help but notice how he scolds his employees non-stop throughout the day like they haven't done something right. It's irritating to the ears since the place is a bit small.

There was even a moment when I have an urgent report to pass and my lappy's dead batt. This was the nearest cafe around that has power outlets. I went here after lunch and I was still full from KFC. I just ordered a frappuccino so I can have a table and some coffee fix. I stayed there for two hours. When I'm about to have my second hour, the manager made parinig near me by having a mini-role playing with his employee.

Manager: Pwede siguro tayo maglagay ng freezer dito! (Pointing to a space near me)

Employee: Kaso magiging masikip na po. Wala tayo kikilusan.

Manager: Gaano na ba sya katagal dito? Two hours na? Two hourss?!

Employee: (Deadma)

Deadma lang din ako since my reports were far more important than his constant tantrums. Lol. But that's a big turn off, really.

Food and Coffee:

Spicy Tuna Pasta: Food is edible and okay but I can make better. It tasted like Tuna Spread poured in Pasta.

Tapsilog: For Php105, the serving's quite big but the Tapa is a bit hard to chew. I was battling with every bite. The rice was a turn off too cos its like matutong. It didn't taste fresh :( The meal was saved by spicy vinegar.

Coffee: Coffee tastes like Figaro's.

Cream Puffs: Though it's creamy and all but I don't think I'll buy these cuties again for Php25 each.

I would have given the place a three if the service is great and the manager's professional.

So I'll make sure to charge my lappy so I won't be trapped here anymore.
