New Japanese concessionaire Midori at the former children's pavilion.
What!?! Wasabe no flavor? Chewed a clump and nothing came out of my ears and no tears... Oh well , i would have thought that a good japanese chef would have paid close attention to an extremely significant gustatory flavor to accompany sashimi and sushi...
The rest of the items on the menu were similarly mediocre...
The members deserve better;-(
We cant even say we wont come back...
To the clubs facilities... The food is awful...
Palms country club is so much better minus the golf.

So many childhood memories. 128522

Our childhood friend lives in the village and whenever I come to visit her, I get to use the facilities, eat at The Veranda. 128522

We're usually here every Sunday, church service and family brunch.

Food's great, service is excellent.

As for the facilities? It's not bad either. They have everything.
And I usually hangout at the library while mom's at Salon de Ayala having her hair and nails done.

Had Mother's Day lunch here with my husband's family. Was ready to order Bravo pizza and pasta but there was a Japanese buffet spread at the golfers veranda so we tried it out. It was surprisingly good! Beef cubes were tender and even though the tempura were small, the shrimp was fresh and tasty.
However, the puto bungbung serving has shrunk 128528
Swimming at the new pool for the kids afterwards.

Got this yummy chicken arroz caldo for only P112 from their house menu while attending our monthly club meeting at the Acacia Room. Best I've ever tried so far! Loads of chicken breast chunks hiding beneath. Very, very filling!

I still have to find what I really like here. Usually when I do find something, the concessionaire changes and I have to repeat the cycle. I must admit that this year's selection is pretty varied so I should try more stuff. I've heard that the acoustic band on Tuesdays is terrific, still need to hear them play though. During weekends, there's bibingka and puto bungbong. Yummy!!!

I don't understand how Alabang Country Club can't seem to get an excellent chef or an amazing caterer.

I really love hanging out here to eat even by myself because of the golf course view and the cool breeze. But it just sucks cause their food is terrible. 128560

There are some orders that are not so bad but I tried out these two dishes from their healthy menu and I wasn't too happy. The healthy menu is sometimes requested so go ask for it if they don't hand it over. Presentation is also a lot nicer in the healthy menu. They list down the calories too but I'm not particular with that.

I ordered the grilled asparagus with feta cheese and balsamic vinegar. It was too strong for me! Maybe I'm just not a balsamic person? But I wish I asked to have it on the side. I think I would have enjoyed this dish otherwise.

The oven cooked fish with thai lemon was too sour and I love my lemons but it was too much and it was very salty. Why128555

Nice, although it needs to be cared for more. Pool all to myself! Yay!

Lightning is scary. I was doing my second round of laps today and i took the rainbow as a sign that yea those lightning and thunder combos will let up. Apparently, the rainbow was a warning sign against it. Two strokes and i leapt out of the pool when i saw the lightning. Tsk! Tsk!

And i thought i had it all to myself tonight.

I like it when it rains, no one's in the pool (well, except for two Koreans). Mine, all mine. *evil laugh*

This is my swimming hole. I get all nostalgic every time i come here. They've changed concessionaires so many times that I miss the one that served good burgers, fries and iced tea. Now, Bravo handles the pasta and the pizza (am not sure about the other food).

Does pesto dig into the noodle so much that it makes it soggy? I've had pesto pasta elsewhere and they're all soggy. I did try their other oil-based pastas and i like it!

Was invited to the club's Veranda tonight to hang out with some college friends to watch Acoustic Indulgence (an awesome 3pc acoustic group)
I had a honey chicken with red rice... it was good but i have had better.
I enjoyed my night nonetheless...my kind of night out...great music (from classic opms to sting to coldplay to mayer to stevie) awesome company (there is nothing like catching up with old friends) and a fantastic night breeze (how i wish I could get that in makati).

THE VERDICT: 411088's FOR SURE. WAITING TO BE INVITED BACK SOON.
