After our Art in Island tour with children, we scuffled to find a place to eat beside it. We know about awesome Italian, Bellinis. I wanted an affordable alternative for a group of 10.

Allan's Grill is all about Filipino and like I mentioned before it is my favorite cuisine. They have hits and misses which explains a mid rating.

We ordered okay on paper. 7 dishes for a big group but failed to finish it up for their big servings for the price.

Let me share to you what's good. All the fish we had. The Bangus Belly Sinigang is soured just right with a medley of usual vegetables complementing the generous fish. The giant grilled Bangus was prepared well and was delightful. The Pinakbet with Crispy Hito is quite unique and had bagoong (shrimp paste) goodness!

Was in cubao today for my passport renewal in DFA Alimall. Cubao is one place I seldom visit because its crowded and traffic are always heavy. But today I have no choice since this is one of the nearest DFA in my place. Schedule was 1130H and I was able to finish the whole renewal process in an hour and a half. Not bad for a government agency.
After the renewal I was craving to eat somewhere not commonly found in other part of metro. Cubao resto are mostly the common one or the inuman type of place. Thats when I remember that just behind alimall, cubao expo is just a walk away. I braved the heavy rain since I'm very curious about this Cubao X. I frequently saw this place in the youtube series of Ramon Bautista. The place looks like an abandon area in a movie where some cowboy would suddenly have a showdown hahaha. The place is a haven for the collectors and hipster. There were lots of antique and old memorabilia item on most of the store. There also I found Coast thru life one of the popular surfing store. I browse the area and lookup looloo for any recommendation. Then there was two that standout belinelli of the famous one more chance movie and Allans grill. I preferred the latter since I'm alone. Belinelli looks like a place better with a companion.
Allans Grill 3625 is a inuman/art gallery type of place. When I went in there was already some people having drinking session. The inside was nice full of art paintings hanging on the wall. Their best seller are the crispy pata and kare kare. Since I'm on a solo flight I went for their bulalo steak ala pobre. In the menu its indicated its good for one but for me serving size is good for two. I love the bulalo steak it was very tender and knife was not needed on this one. Would love to come back with the gang for an inuman session here and try out more of their menu.
Cubao X is also an interesting place definitely I would like to explore more. My visit was rainy and most resto/cafe were close. The talas barbershop is also one thing that I want to try it was fully booked when I inquired.

I brought my sales team in Cubao Expo to let them try my all time fave spot, the Halo Cafe. But damn, they are close so I checked on |ooloo to know where is the nearest good place to dine in for lunch. I saw this one with 4-5 stars rating so GO na!128131

The dish is superb and sulit! For only 650Php? Man, that's a deal!

PS They also have awesome paintings hanging on the wall, and we saw the old man who is painting it. Ang galing niya lang. 128588

I liked the squid, bangus, clams, chicken and veggies in our Inihaw special128077

The crab and shrimp was okay, not fresh so meh.

Beef bulalo soup was so full of flavor and the beef was chewy, the good kind of chewy 128077

Pricewise pretty sulit for a barkada food feast 128077 price range 500-600 or less 128184
