Had buffet dinner here for Mother's Day. Expectedly the place was packed as with other restos in the metro. Good thing we were able to reserve a very long table. With us were 6 mothers in the family 128513. All of them got a gift pack from Alba and with it GCs of Free Buffet Dinner on their next visit. So generous of them! 6 na GC yun ah. Yun pa lang Sulit na ang binayad namin. 128525

As always their buffet spread is not as extensive as most buffet places are. But they have quality. Aanhin mo naman yun napakaraming choices hindi naman masarap karamihan? As long as there is Paella Negra and their Cochinillo Suckling Pig, I'm all good! Plus their famous Chorizos and cold cuts. 128077

Why five stars? Service was great, intimate interiors, and superb food.

A friend is turning a year older tomorrow, and her fiancé (and MoH) planned this surprise birthday dinner. We really had a great time and I probably need a few days to get over my fave combo - seafood soup!! paella (valenciana)!! and a glass of sangria. 128077

Still the best Paella Negra in the Metro. 128525

Ambience is great wether you choose the inside or outside where you have a great view of Manila Bay.

I'll never grow tired of their Paella's! I don't even mind the stains of today and the next day. 128514

Our aunt treated us for a Spanish buffet dinner at alba. We had a great time especially with the band that goes from table to table. They sang a ton for us and I'm quite impress that they sang chinese songs very well.

We ate here after my graduation and I find their food expensive. I mean it's a buffet but for its price (700++ or 800++ if I'm not mistaken), I'd rather go to Sambokojin or Yakimix since I can eat more food there since by nature, I love Japanese cuisine. Here, it's all spanish and the only thing that's good on their table is the paella I guess. I mean come on, this is a buffet! They should have something else better on that buffet table rather than having only one good dish and the rest is bad or not just as good. I can eat the best paella in Dulcinea and for 400++, that's too good already and good for our whole family already. I don't think this spanish resto is worth it. Try something else. Try Dulcinea's paella instead if you're really craving for it. For this, I'll give them 3 stars since the paella was really good but they don't offer good value for your money as for the buffet.

beautiful ambiance, the food was excellent, especially the lengua, the first time that i've tried it.. i fell in love with it.. lol! it was so soft that it could melt easily in your mouth.. i had to returned to the buffet table for another serving of it. the price for the buffet was worth the food that they are serving. the desert was also superb, i forgot the name of the cake, it's a meringue type of cake combined with a syrup, i love it.. FANTASTIC!! definitely i'll be back again

For only Php695+ you can enjoy your all-time favorite Spanish dishes such as Paella Valenciana, Paella Verde, Lechon de Leche, Pollo Cordon Bleu, Pollo Al Ajilo, Callos a la Madrileña, Lengua Sevillana and many more. They keep changing the menu of chicken, pork and beef but there'll be always 2 versions of paella and its famous lengua. Moreover, this place is located away from the SM MOA crowd (no more long lines and empty buffet dishes compared to Buffet 101 and Vikings where you have to start to fall in line as early as 5pm) and parking space at the Two E-com is practically yours :)

Also a must try are their jello shots in Peach Panacotta and Orange flavors where i had three in one sitting hahahaha 128517

The "lego man's shorts" building. Call me weird but that's what the Prism Plaza looks like to me.

In our search to find a decent restaurant after the book fair, we stumbled into this place. We came at around 8 pm and there were only 2-3 tables occupied.

Before heading to our seats, we noticed three men in the rightmost corner of the room playing guitars and cellos while singing Spanish songs. I found them hilarious. Don't ask me why. 128514

I learned that Alba has been serving exquisite Spanish fair for almost 60 years! I love how they offer catering services for parties and events.

We started with gambas al ajilo, it was quite decent sized. It is just shrimp sautéed jn olive oil, garlic and chili, but it is just perfect. My brother mopped up the remaining drips of oil in his plate with some small bread rolls.

Next came the soup!! The best thing we ordered! CALDO GALLEGO! If you like thick, hearty and beany kind of soups, you would definitely LOVE this! It is a Galician soup cooked with chorizo, black sausage, beans and cabbage. I'm going to try to make this at home!

The Ensalada Catalunia came and I was not that impressed. It was shredded lettuce and cardits with Jamon Serrano & parmesan cheese in garlic herb. There was more shredded potato shoestrings than the actual vegetable. There is nothing good to write about this. House specialty? No. Just no.

128104128104128104 3 men came to our tables and sang some songs. They asked for requests and I just said that any would do. So they sang a couple songs by Jason Mraz and by some Spanish singer. I should have requested some latest tunes to see if they know it 128520

P.S. Do you give tips to those people while eating? Because I noticed they seemed to be waiting for it after they performed.

My brother wanted some Lengua Sevillana which is stewed ox-tongue with mushroom & olives in rich sherry brown sauce. Even if I don't eat ox-tongue, I just ordered it for Robbie N. I just took one little slice of it. The sauce tasted like Jollibee's Burger Steak. I'm serious. But the meat was really really tender.

Overall, we came out with happy tummies!

We had the lunch buffet here. The food at the buffet is always filled, water is always refilled, plates are promptly changed. The service is great!

This is Alba at 2Ecom Building. I like going back to this particular branch because of the location. Situated at the 4th level of Prism Plaza, overlooking Manila Bay and the surrounding complex that is the Mall of Asia, one would be wonderfully surprised that there is this place. This is very ideal for meet-up, hanging out or business lunch, just like what we had yesterday.

They serve Spanish food on buffet. The choices are not that varied, with the customary paella and cuchinillo spread on the buffet table. If you are fond of Spanish cuisine and you have a discerning taste, this may not be the ideal place to get your fix. I have sampled many Spanish dishes from different restos and there are others that fare better than Alba's, although I would say food is just ok. However, what sets them apart is the ambience. It's so cozy and relaxing, nothing of the sort of smugness that you experience from high profiled restaurant nor the feeling that you get from the dizzying array of food in much celebrated places like Vikings or Buffet 101. It is just simply right for when you just want to converse with your companion/s.

Of the four times that I have been here, and this is the lucky part, i have never paid once. Alright maybe once but I have forgotten how much was my share. My friends and colleagues who footed the bill said its very reasonable especially when you relate it vis-a-vis the attentive service and the nice ambience (here I go again!).

I definitely would recommend this place to all my followers. You will not regret it. Btw, Prism Plaza is a must see location. There is a well-manicured lawn fronting the restaurants around the area and yeah I did mention above that it is on the 4th Floor. Nice, right?
