Alba always makes me feel as if every money we spent was worth the quality of the food. This visit is just another proof of it.

127775Sopa de Verdura (Vegetable Soup)127775
You have the liberty of choosing whether you want your soup clear or creamy, and we opted for the latter. We really weren’t expecting anything from it, so it came as a surprise that it tasted so delicious. The creaminess of the soup wasn’t overpowering nor was it too salty. But I think what elevated its taste was the fresh vegetables present in it (mind you, still crunchy). If I’m not mistaken, I could taste and feel the texture of the broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, onions and parsley. It really went well with the complimentary dinner rolls. And all my mom and I could say was “Panalo!” after every spoonful. 128523

127775Paella Valenciana127775
*if I remember correctly its price is now P580
We were supposed to try a different kind of Paella but we couldn’t resist Alba’s version of Valenciana (since my mom & I believe that it’s the best we’ve tasted). Anyway, I enjoyed devouring it since it had more viands than the last time we ordered it. There was even a medium-sized chunk of crab. Adding lime to it really gives its taste more dimension, and certainly balances it (and don’t worry about running out of slices, you can request for more and they’d be happy to oblige). It’d be perfect, however, if the Paella had a bit of char at the bottom since it adds more crunch to it.

127775Berenjenas al Horno (Baked eggplant with anchovies & three kinds of cheese)127775
This one really went well with the Paella, since I personally think eating it solely was too overpowering for my palate. Nevertheless, this combination was a novelty for me, and being a fan of anything with lots of cheese certainly piques me. I recommend this to those wary of eating eggplants but have an affinity for cheese.

127775Tarta de Chocolate Al Cointreau (Chocolate Cake with orange liquor)127775
I have mixed feelings about this one. Though I enjoyed the chocolate ganache for its bittersweet taste (but it was leaning towards the sweet side) and its consistency, I couldn’t taste the orange liquor. (If it’s supposed to be that way kindly enlighten me ^^;) Adding more moisture to the chiffon would be better for the thick ganache, though. And even though my mom thought it was ‘nakakaumay’, I still enjoyed it.

I can’t say anything bad about the service, since it was commendable. I would definitely eat here again.

Honestly, the only reason we were here is because we were looking for a prking space and kuya guard asked us as we were going out if we'll eat in Alba. Shamed, we had to go in. We were originally planning to just check the menu, but because the waiters were attentive, we were too embarrassed to go out. We were seated at one of the couches and given complimentary bread and butter. I loved the bread btw. So sweet and hot. Then two glasses of water. The waiter were quick, I have to commend that. We tried their dessert (tho they also have a buffet). I only had the vanilla ice cream (2scoops for Php 135? Not exactly sure but along those lines. Either way, mahaaaaalll). My friend got the Canonigo (a soft meringue cake) and I was surprised by how big it is. I think this is 170p, so sulit..? Such an alta night haha. They was band serenading the guests too.

Can't go wrong with Cochinillo, lengua and various tapas. The paella Filipino has sisig and more Cochinillo! A bit pricey but you do get your money's worth. Truly enjoyable.

I noticed that I super love Spanish menu. Prior to our scheduled client call , we headed to Alba. Its actually an old resto in QC (with my boss reminiscing) and its still fancy looking.

Its my first time and I had a buffet!! For only P599.. I get to enjoy everything. They have the best dips for crackers, i enjoyed the garlic and mushroom dip. Aside from that I had salad and spanish sardines. And ang star ng menu.. Ang cuchinillo ( lechon de leche) which i truly enjoy at medyo may hilo factor dahil sa melts in your mouth na effect. Promise! And of course also love their paella and callos. For dessert., love their leche flan and brazo de mercedes.

I used to really really love eating here. Tried it again and I was quite disappointed. Food quality is not as good as it used to be. It is still delicious...but the food quality was way better in the past.

Slight disappointment aside, I still enjoyed mg meal. From the beef, lechon de leche, paella, pasta, all the way to the dessert. Canonigo is not as good as I remember it to be but it is still delicious.

The place smelled old. The table cloth was stained. While the food is still good, it isn't as great as it used to be. Cleanliness has also been compromised. I would still go back as this place holds a special place in my stomach and heart! I am willing to give it a second chance!

Their lunch buffet is a definite hit with the usual
suspects! They usually have several sausages and cheeses to choose from, tortilla, soup, lengua, and of course, paella!128522 they have pretty great fabada and bacalao as well, if you are lucky enough for these to be part of the buffet... For dessert, I suggest their canonigo! It's like Brazo de Mercedes, but not as sweet! Pretty good!128077

We went to Alba's for lunch after my sister's graduation last week, and we're SO glad that we decided to avail of their lunch buffet. The 2 hours that we spent there was not enough for me (sorry, i'm a slow eater) 'cause all if the foods that they serve there deserve to be thoroughly enjoyed. Authentic Spanish food, with the richness and spices that you expect, at an affordable price! Highly recommended!

My wife treated me here for my birthday last year and I loved it! The buffet selection doesn't look like much because of the limited choices but rest assured that everything on there is deserving of a second serving :)

One of my favorite restaurants❗️ What i usually order is the Berenjenas al Horno its a baked eggplant w anchovies and 3 kinds of cheese. A must try!128076And we always order their Solomillo a la Alba (w mushroom sauce) or Solomillo a la Pimienta which is the peppered steak w roasted capsicums and spicy tomato sauce. And if you want fish try their lapu-lapu a la bilbaina its w spaghetti noodles. Good service too!128077They also have a buffet which i never tried because i don't get to eat most of the food because it has pork in it. Yes i'm a Muslim.128522

I've always been hesitant to go inside restaurants like Alba; they're so intimidating and (my) age-inappropriate!128517 But since my brother has been recommending this place nonstop (5 visits within a month), I decided to give it a shot.

Before anything else, I learned the hard way that this place is not GERD friendly -- somehow all the dishes triggered my acid reflux :( hay!

On the lighter note, I actually enjoyed my delicious dinner. We ordered the Paella valenciana, Lengua in brown sauce, croquettes with ham and cheese and Eggplant with cheese (forgot the names)128517 they were all soo good and affordable. The service was very spot on, food arrived early except for the paella :) I noticed that they serve great variety of desserts too, which I will try on my next visit!9786

We had a buffet dinner at alba's in thomas morato priced at php659. I like the place but it isnt on my list of the restaurants that i would always visit.

THE FOOD: My first time to try spanish food so i can't give comparison. I love the paella, though i don't find anything special about it. Bf also enjoyed their lechon de leche? Not sure if that's what it's called. They are more into quality than variety. There are few selections than i expected, but everything taste good, they each have distinct taste. What i love is their creamy baked eggplant in cheese, has a resemblance to lasagna. Sorry i dunno the name of the dish 128556128518128539 their desserts are all tasty, and i super love their leche flan! Not too soft and sweet, just how i like it128540128523128523128523

THE PLACE: The place radiates an intimate and elegant ambiance. It is... ofcourse, very spanish! Their music also adds up to the spanish feel of the resto. Their staffs are very proactive too! 128079128079128079 they fill your glasses and take your plates whenever you emptied them. They also have spanish singing waiters 127908127932127925127926

THE PRICE: priced at 659 for buffet, not sure how much are the wines, but they have bottomless iced tea at p90. I would only give them 110881108811088️ For the value of money, since i am a buffet person lol 128514 well, it's a different experience and i love the red motif

I was about to give them 3 110881108811088️ all in all. But i'll give them 4 since i really love the leche flan hahahahaha 128523128514128514128514128540128540128540128515128515

Great authentic spanish food.

Order the paella, lengua, and callos, some items aren't so good. But the traditional spanish stuff are really good.

Note:
1. If you are a fan of spanish food, this is the place to go. Else, you might not really like it if you don't like the cuisine.

2. A glass of good wine usually goes well with paella.

3. Prepare your wallet since authentic spanish food is not cheap BUT REALLY GOOD.
