Do you like the chicken BBQ of Aristocrat paired with their Java rice? I do and Alex III serves it. It reminds me of my childhood memories! 10084

For so many years, I have enjoyed the Reyes' clan's secret recipe for their Chicken Barbecue dish.

When I was little, my family and I used to have an occasional dining treat from Aristocrat Restaurant. During that time, eating there means we were celebrating something important because eating at Aristocrat is like eating in a fine dining restaurant.

Several years passed, they started to have other branches like Alex III, Alex's Grill, Serye, Casa Reyes, and their fast food counterpart...Reyes Barbecue. The recipe has not changed, it is still good.

I was just a little bit shocked when we visited Alex III. I mean I know the place was a bit pricey compared to other casual dining restaurants near the vicinity but paying more than three hundred pesos for three small chicken barbecue with java rice and "atsara" was unreasonable because the taste was similar to Reyes Barbecue. The only difference was the place and the presentation.

What was more disappointing was when we ordered Caesar Salad for our appetizer. It cost almost three hundred pesos. When it was served, it was so simple. My mom can make a better version of it.

I don't think I want to go back here because most of their dishes are overpriced when I can get the same taste from their other restaurants.

They don't allow dogs in the restaurant and in the smoking area. My hooman called them up. They were planning to have a birthday dinner there. He was advised that dogs can only stay in the parking area. Boo!

Their chicken barbecue with java rice and atchara is my ultimate comfort food. Reminds me of eating here or in Aristocrat with my parents when I was much, much smaller. 128515

Their tapioca is another one of the dishes that
makes me nostalgic! Still better than any other tapioca dish out there 128539

Their classic chicken BBQ is actually still good. Camaron rebosado is good too. Iced tea is awful.

If you're looking for a traditional place, the likes of Barrio Fiesta etcetera, serving Filipino food, then this place is for you. The food is okay, the space is big, and the service is friendly. However, given the current foodie trend and the many restaurants in the area, Alex III just lacks the general appeal and unique offering that would make first-time customers return for more.
