Back at Makansutra Hawkers to try other food stall in the area. Upon entering the vicinity of Makansutra, Midz and I saw the poster of Alhambra Padang Satay & Muslim Food offering a lunch promo for Php199.00.

We were convinced to try the promo and order the Chicken Satay served with Rice, Tofu, Soup and Peanut Sauce.

"First bite was good. Adding the peanut sauce will make your appetite boost. The rice and the tofu will balance the strong flavor of the satay."

We are in a point in time that the value of lands are rapidly increasing. With this, properties become harder to own, and amount of rentals are shooting up. It's hard to maintain a business this way, and I guess this is why the food park concept became popular nowadays.

Makansutra, contrary to what I initially thought, is actually similar to a food park, with numerous establishments sharing a single space, and a common dining area. It houses different cuisines from all over the world, and can be considered as a place to have a food crawl should you wish to have a taste of the world.

We chose to have a bite of one of the most snubbed cuisines in the country, the Muslim food. We ordered the Al Hambra lunch meal for P199, a plate which has a cup of white rice, 6 sticks of satay, a cup of chicken soup and some fried tofu on the side. The satay sticks smelled so good! The scent of the spices that are a bit unfamiliar to the Filipino cuisine was so mouth-watering. It's like eating with your nose.

The taste of the satay sticks were good, although you'll soon realize that it's sweet (I think because of the peanut marinade) and that you've had enough. The chicken soup was also delicious, although it was oily. Tofu was bland and tastes better with the special peanut sauce on the side (although soy sauce will always be better).

The price is somewhat affordable and really filling, although I think you can get more than this for the same price from other restaurants, taste-wise.

Alhambra Padang Satay specializes in satay, and they sure do them well. The grilled chicken meat is moist and flavourful even without the peanut sauce. for 270php, you'll get ten sticks of satay, some tofu, and peanut sauce on the side. One of the "must-taste" dishes in Makansutra.

Makansutra is a little piece of Singapore here in Manila. Located on the 2nd floor of SM Megamall building A, Makansutra offers fare from Asia that you will traditionally see in the hawker stalls of SG. The food you will get here, whether you like it or not, tastes the way it would from where they originally came from.

Unlike some of the hawker places you may have visited, Makansutra is vibrant, lively and clean. This foodcourt style ‘restaurant’ currently houses at least 11 stalls with each one specializing in a different dish, making sure that we have a wide variety of choices.

So whether you’re feeling nostalgic and just want to get that taste of Singapore, or just want to experience that ‘hawker vibe’, then Makansutra is definitely a place you should visit.

What can you find inside Makansutra Food Hall?

The first restaurant that you'll encounter when you decide to go counterclockwise discovering the food hall upon entering. Alhambra Padang Satay and Muslim Food is its complete name. They offer more than two dishes-- the smoke from its grill would entice grilled food lovers. As for me, i just went here because it's something protein. And marami--i thought.

They have satay (all chicken) sets there

Their satays are cute. Bite size. The taste was sweet. So this might be a plus point and a possible recommendation for all sweet tooth. I have a sweet tooth so okay lang sa akin. The thing is it's small and pricey as well.

Ticking off this one at Makansutra
