The place to go if you would like your seafood cooked perfect! Make sure your pusit is cooked Adobo. It's the best!

You won't wonder why they have 3 branches inside Seaside alone.

Whenever I go to a dampa, I always eat at Aling Tonya's! They have a branch in Seaside (Roxas Blvd) and Home Depot.

It is absolutely the best in Metro Mabila. Yes. It most definitely is.

Their Adobong Pusit is to die for, and I have been trying to recreate it, and failed, so many times. Lol.

I guarantee you that you will never taste any Adobong Pusit as good as this, in Manila. Lol. (Because the best Adobong Pusit is in D'Talipapa Boracay)

Yes, Buttered Shrimps is a must when you're in Dampa.

As well as Baked Scallops. 10084

I love dampa and so far they have the best tempura and sizzling pusit. Now i know why they have 3 branches in macapagal. They are just slightly much more expensive than the rest.

Unfortunately, the only shot I have is of the aftermath of dinner. It doesn't make for a good shot for a review so decided not to post it.

Aling Tonya's has sort of become the de facto paluto restaurant for our family. We've been going here for a few years already and while the place is still "too basic" - they do cook the food well. 128077

You technically forget about ambiance the moment you walk into a paluto restaurant. You buy your own seafood knowing full well you'll get your fair share of grime - but also knowing that you'll get a good value out of your cash for the seafood. There are some who still get the meat, but most of us really go here for the seafood.

1kg of shrimp (tempura), 1kg of crabs (lemon butter), 1/2 baked scallops, 1/2 grilled liempo with a 1.5L bottle of soda with practically bottomless rice. Always a satisfying meal - not exactly for those on a diet.

No frills seafood place, you go here for the food and the value / practicality. 128076

The best seafood paluto!

For after office drinks, we headed to dampa to market fresh seafoods and proceeded to Aling Tonya's to have them cooked.

Butter garlic shrimps, grilled tuna, sweet and sour lapu-lapu, and kinilaw accompanied by ice cold beer. They have consistently cooked ze best dishes among the restos there. Good value for money. :)

Do try their crabs in "special sauce" too. Its kinda spicy but just right. Best to get your hands dirty and prepare to devour endless servings of rice.

This is our default eatery when we are craving for some real affordable comfort seafood.

To be able to eat sweet chili crabs with your fingers with no worries about poise and all that crap! Heaven! Shrimp Tempura was also great! Inihaw na liempo needed more time on the grill and the halaan soup was a good way to whet the appetite.

We usually order 2 kilos of crabs here (1 bakla and 1 babae) but sadly this visit's crabs left much to be desired. Were the crabs on a diet too?

A treat from our senior pastor!128516
Seafood feast cooked on your preference.
The crabs, shrimps, squids and fish are really really fresh.

The things that I didn't like was their shrimps when it has already cooled down the sauce stiffens as if it was like a sebo already kaya di na masarap kainin128541

I addition to that, their service sucks, three times asking for water, fork and spoon, and a wet towel? Well, that's a lot! Then every staff was always in a hurry you need to really catch their attention. Also, if we didn't tell our parents(were in different table than us which we're separeted) what we need nothing will arrive. But the wet towel never arrived at all.128078

Cravings satisfied!

I used to love Dampa, but now I am starting to realized how expensive it is compared to eating at Vikings or Dads or any buffet resto that ranges from 700-800 to be more specific. I mean, we got 1k tempura (around 8 pcs) 1k baked mussels (around 9 mussels) 1k tahong and 2k buttered crabs (2 crabs) and cost us 2500 and we are only 3 sharing. I think eating in a buffet is more sulit now considering you have more food choices.

But then again, tempura craving satisfied. 128540

I enjoyed the food. I love seafood so much!!! I don't think I need to elaborate more on this.
What's not good? We saw a huge rat creeping on the ground floor. Huge. There were also a lot of big mosquitoes and bees on the 2nd floor. And oh. Some of the crabs had foul taste. Good thing the ones we had at our side were good. Some of the shrimps were overcooked too. It was so hard to get the shell out.

if you're craving for Pinoy food, specifically seafood, grilled meat and vegetable dishes..then this is the perfect place. You can buy raw ingredients from the market and tell their severs how you want it cooked, or just order straight from their menu and just tell them of the amount or quantity that you like. Must not miss order is the calamares which always cooked perfectly and the prawn in garlic and butter sauce. if you want to eat crab with lots of crabfat in it, dont forget to specify that you want the "bakla" one. 128522

It's my cousin's birthday last Wednesday and we had a mini-celebration/family gathering here at Aling Tonya's Paluto for dinner. Some people said that this is the perfect Dampa place, maybe because it's near the bay area? That question has been answered as we went on further that night.

I already tried Dampa in Farmer's market a lot of times, back in the days when i'm still working at one of the BPO companies around the area. In my opinion, there's no such differences between the two (and maybe the others as well except for the Original dampa at Parañaque) 'cause you can have it all fresh.

We had a lot of food that night including the Squid Adobo, Hilabos na shrimp, Buttered shrimp, Calamari (fried squid), Prawn Tempura, Grilled fish (forgot the name of the fish) & Baked mussels. All of them tasted good especially the Buttered shrimp & Prawn tempura.

I'm quite turned off when i learnt that their Big bottles of soda (Pepsi products) cost 100 bucks each. Wow! Kumikitang kabuhayan! We should've bought our own bottles of soda nalang sana 'cause their corkage fee may not be that pricey though.

Finally!!!!!!!!

Palutuan resto sounds too interesting, right? So, here it goes..

We headed first to the wet market and bought tuna belly, shrimp, tahong and talaba. We had so much fun in there because a lot of "tindera(s)" were offering us a lower price plus!!!!! Of course, there is an extra ~fun~ because I was with my boyfriend. 128522

After that, we went to Aling Tonya's then "ate" weighed what we bought and told "ate" what kind of recipe.

We really waited for a long time because obviously, they're cooking the food.

The buttered shrimp arrived first. Followed by baked tahong, grilled tuna belly and kinilaw na talaba. The taste of these foods was so goooooood!!! Super worth it!!

Over all, our Aling Tonya's experience is beyond amazing. Their flavors gave us this thing called "foodgasm". We spent less than 1,500php!! And guess what? We had a lot of leftovers because our food was good for 3-4 persons but we're just only two, grinding our teeth with these lovelies.
