We discovered Altrove Express by accident. This is when we are circling around Calle Hamma. One of the locals pointed out that Tratorria Altrove has two branches in El Nido. Since getting a table at the main branch is difficult, some customers can go to Express when pizza craving strikes.
We had breakfast one morning. Yes, they open at 8am sharp. Menu is limited in the morning as they only serve panini of different variants and coffee. I picked Flat White and Mozzarella Panini.
| Flat White (php 70). Not as awesome as the Third Wave kind, don't expect Toby's Estate levels for the price tag. It doesn't taste like flat white, it's more of a Cafe Latte to be honest, it is a decent cup of joe nonetheless.
| Mozzarella Panini. Tomatoes x mozzarell cheese x olive oil x fresh off the oven Ciabata bread. The protagonist is the bread as it is flavorful sans the other characters. The mixture of mozzarella and tomatoes is phenomenal, it enhances the taste and makes the dish 10x awesome.
Altrove never disappoints, a must-try restaurant when in El Nido. If you're too eager, swing by their BF Branch soon, just wear beach attire to complete the whole island experience.
