Aaaahhh! This trip was purely bliss! Well the sand is not as powdery white as Boracay, but it definitely has its own charm. The water is so clear and it gives off that bluish green hue.

We went for an island hopping trip from Ilo-ilo. We left the port at around 9am - Guimaras is just a quick 5 minute boat trip by the way. So after reaching the other side, there was a little office wherein they would direct you where to go next. You can choose a tour around the island, or the island hopping trip. Of course we took the latter. We had to take the tricycle (250php) to the drop off point which is about 30 minutes away. We reached Alubihod Beach at around 10am due to a few stopovers. Then we decided to have our brunch first, the beach which was the drop off point from island hopping is already beautiful. Although it gets a little crowded because of the guests from the resorts along the strip.

I think the huts their can be rented, I’m just not sure about the price. Around 500php maybe? Then from there, you can already discuss with the boatmen your preferred trip. We got the island hopping for 5 persons for the price of 1,500 for 2 hours I think and then you’ll just add a certain amount for every exceeding hour. Don’t quote me on the prices because I have a little amnesia when it comes to numbers hehe

We went around 4 islands, Fairy Castle beach, Ave Maria Island, Baras Cave, and Lamurawan Island. Each island is unique on its own, and I loved every bit of the tour. We got back and dropped by the market to buy some mangoes to take home of course!

FYI: They don’t allow anyone to bring mangoes, seeds or whatever from the outside to preserve their mango industry.
