If I were to choose and decide, I would not be recommending Amare for dinner. They serve pretty good pizza but I don't think there's anything special. 🤔 But because the pictures online were all so tempting, my companions suggested we have dinner here and try the pizza. Oh well. 🙄

We ordered one ARRABIATTA PIZZA aka the Spicy Bacon Pizza. Our server asked if we want it chewy or charred, we all agreed we want it "charred". After a couple of minutes, our pizza was served. We all got one slice and tasted it...... "bat di crispy?". "Ganito ba yung "charred"? Sadly, ours was not "charred" enough, no burnt nor crispy edges. It was actually the normal chewy pizza. Was supposed to ask them to cook the pizza more but we already consumed almost half of it. 128549 As for the taste, I still have the same feeling.. good but nothing special. They liked it, though. Well, mainly because of the generous amount of crispy bacon added on top! 128069

Service was just okay. Kind of slow. Place was full so we had a hard time calling them whenever we need anything.

If you're a pizza lover, you may want to try this place out. A lot of people are raving about them and Amare is named as the "best pizza place" in Baguio.

This Ala Sardines Pasta right here is from Amare La Cucina, an Italian restaurant in Baguio famous for their wood-fired brick oven pizzas. It was damn good! It was served al dente just the way I like it, perfectly
seasoned plus the extra kick hit the spot. It is a bit pricey but you will definitely get what you paid for. I highly recommend Amare if you want some authentic Italian dishes.
I tried other dishes ordered by my friends as well, and everything was good. 128077🏻
Another place to visit when coming to Baguio. 10084

A lot of people are saying that Amare serves the best brick oven pizza in Baguio. With so many positive reviews, I made sure that we visit this place before we go home. Being a popular restaurant, it was not a surprise that the place was full when we arrived at around 6pm. We had to wait for almost 30 minutes before we were able to secure a table.

Place is just simple. Just like a "cafeteria" with simple wooden tables/chairs inside and plastic tables/chairs outside. The only thing "special" about the place is the brick oven area where you see the process of preparing the pizza, flipping the pizza dough in the air, and cooking the pizza inside the brick oven. If you want, you can go closer and watch them. I think you can also ask them if you can try preparing your own pizza. 128521

Anyway, since we're still kind of full from our merienda, we just ordered one meaty something pizza (w sausage, pepperoni, and mushroom) and an order of the pesto pasta. Hmmm, both were just okay. Yes, good but nothing extraordinary. I guess we weren't just as pleased and as happy. 128563 Oh well, at least now we know.

Will I comeback? Maybe, but not anytime soon. I still have a long list of must try restaurants here in Baguio. 128541

Btw, this is located inside the EGI Bldg. Best to use waze in locating this place.

Googled places to eat in Baguio and Amare came up way too many times for me to ignore. With only one night in Baguio, I wanted to try something new..and great...and Amare did not disappoint!

Was wise enough to Waze the place and get there for an early dinner. Doubted at first that we were at the right place because the resto was inside a bldg. and there was no big sign that it actually existed save for a small tarp standee by the entrance.

Dinner was superb! Kids were asked if they wanted to help make the pizza we ordered. Their carbonara is to die for! A definite must try along with their pugon baked pizza. Definitely worth the trip!

At 3pm, there were people dining, so the food must be good. We ordered gambas pasta (tomato base), it was ok. We asked for parmesan cheese and they charged us 50.0 for it. Then we also had three cheese pizza, that was a better experience.

If you're ever in Baguio you should definitely check this place out, this is a must.

It was around the christmas and new year so the restaurant was full non stop in working time. I tried almost full of the menu dishes especially all their pasta dishes and all I can say is that it's very authentic and is always freshly made. Ragu Bolognese and Ala Carbonara are my favourite. I was happy everytime i tried their mouthwatering pizzas too.. Best pizza in Baguio! The service was great in my opinion. Staff are always warm and friendly everytime I eat here..

Had the carbonara pasta but the dish tasted like rancid dairy (panis na gatas). Eggs, wine, shallots, garlic and fresh Parmesan - so why did the dish taste like bad milk? Had the dish sent back to the kitchen, apparently they did "quality control" (as the server said) and confirmed their carbonara taste like bad milk. Oh and yeah, we did pay for the pasta. They don't allow cancelations for bad tasting food, or rancid tasting carbonara dish to be exact! Will never eat here again.

Food is overhyped.

This restaurant was ordinaly restaurant. but staffs were GOOD. We ate Ala Gamberi ,Pesto , Con Funghi and other spaghetti. We were expecting Al Dente for spaghetti but It was bit soft. and pizza was bit weak taste. we compare to Italian restaurant in Japan so It was little lower quality than that. The price is overpriced too.

Brick Oven Pizza is in the house! 128076
Located in the Ignacio Villamor St. Inside the hotel.

We ordered the Pepperoni Pizza (395php). Amare's Pizza is 12inch, that's the only size of their pizza. We also try their Ala Sardines Pasta (265) good for 2 person. Great experience, it's our first time to try the Brick Oven Pizza. Delicious food, happy tummy. 10084

This restaurant near Baguio's Wright Park and The Mansion capped my last Baguio visit. I'm so glad it did because their food is that Ahh-mazing!

I loved their pasta especially their arrabbiata but what I loved most is their woodfire brick oven pizza! The dough is what got me. Partner that one-of-a-kind dough with different toppings then cook it in a brick oven. Then, say hello to your unforgettable pizza experience!

It's that good that whenever I learn my friends are visiting Baguio, I recommend an Amare La Cucina visit. If you plan visiting, lessen the hassle by looking for Albergo Hotel. The pizza haven is located inside. I am hoping they can open a Manila branch soon. 128522

Setting aside good and bad reviews about this resto, we decided to find out for ourselves, and lo and behold, we loved it! 128522

We ordered the following:

Foie Gras Pizza (8 slices) 127829
Wood Fired Ribs with Veggies 127830
Mint Iced Tea 127865

The pizza was fantastic! If it's your first time, I recommend you get this one 128521 Not too thin and not too thick! Very flavorful! The ribs were also great, juicy and tasty! It comes with a tasty dip which is not your usual BBQ sauce or ribs sauce, and some buttered veggies. The mint iced tea was refreshing! To top all that, the price is just right! 128077

Will definitely go back here when we visit Baguio again 128522

Sarap pasta - very tasty sauce and shrimp cooked just right plus the White Pizza fresh toppings and crust cooked just right again.
Had a fun time touring the "mall" too. A bit put of the way though so...

Beautifully baked by wood fire pizza crust top with fantastic flavors such as Foie Gras and truffle oil. That was what we had that won me over. The BBQ ribs is likewise a must try. Baked in the same woof-fire oven, the tender ribs delivered a remarkable hickory flavor. The secret is most likely in the sauce but I think the wood had a lot to do with the flavor. And the crust! Whatever the case may be, this hidden (inside a mall) eating joint is a must go to when in Baguio.

So after a stroll along the mansion, who wouldn't be hungry and put yourself in a situation where in you like wanna eat everything around you. Jk. So, to start off, hearing stories about a great brick oven pizza along the streets of baguio. They've said that this pizza was the best brick oven pizza in town. So looking for Amare, if you don't have internet and it's gonna be your first time to eat there. You don't have to look for any signage. It's almost across the wright park, inside the building! EGI Albergo Hotel, Villamor Drive.

And there, lucky for you if you get seated right away. But with my experience, you gotta wait in line. And look all those faces enjoying the pizza while you're hungry and envy they could eat already. So if you don't like to wait. You snack up and tour during lunch at the mansion, and go to amare during 1-2pm. Less crowded. So what can you order?

I ordered:

Fruti De Mare (Pasta)
So it's good as the other pasta you could taste in manila. It contains mixed seafoods, plum tomatoes, garlic, olive oil and a bit of white wine. Tasty because of their fresh tomatoes.

Tre Formaggi (Pizza)
Always a fan of cheese! Three cheese are parmesan, mozzarella and cheddar.

Margherita (Pizza)
What makes it so special it's the basil leaves and mozzarella.

So overall, what makes a pizza good one is the contrast of the flavors! And another criteria is the dough. Since it's a brick oven pizza, you'll be expecting a good dough. Haha. The pizzas are the best in town.
