Ambivert Coffee is the newest kid on the block amongst the throng of coffee shops in Poblacion, Makati.

Visited them on a weekend and got to try their Dirty Horchata. Blame a certain coffee shop in La Union for my addiction to this drink. Haha! Their version of the famous Mexican drink is definitely on point. It’s sweet and creamy but there’s still that bittery aftertaste of espresso.

I’ll be back to try other items on their menu. Check out their IG page because they hold free cupping sessions on weekends. 974997499749

Ambivert Coffee just started a month ago through the owners and partners passion for good quality coffee. It’s rare to find specialty coffee that uses origin blends and customized flavors. They offer light to medium roast which is perfect for everyday coffee drink.

Black (Php 110) it wasn’t too acidic compared to other coffee shops which is also great if you love coffee but have a sensitive stomach for acidity.

White (Php 140) using their original black coffee blend with steamed milk. My kind of coffee.

Mocha (Php 160) If you want to have a chocolatey flavor with your coffee. Try their Mocha coffee. A balance of sweet and light to medium roast.

Horchata (Php 140) is made out of rice milk and several spices which was sweet and creamy. This is now one of my favorite drinks. Then add Php40 for a shot of espresso or Php60 for Rum or if you want all of it these are the ingredients for Wake Me Up Jerry Php 240.

Hit Me Bailey (Php 160) if you order the 2nd time just pay Php 100 only then it’s called One More Time.

Oatmeal cookies (Php 30 for 1 then Php 80 for 3 pieces)

Theater Mix (Php 80) - you can’t go wrong with popcorn and chocolate. It’s sweet and savory combined into one.

Make sure to follow their IG page: @ambivercoffee to know the latest promos and also if there’s any updates with their schedule.

I love chai tea latte but majority of coffee shops use pre-powdered mix which loses the essence of the flavor.

When I tried their Chai Latte (Php 140) you can taste the spices and hint of cinnamon which was refreshing compared to the big chain coffee shops. If you like Chai Latte like I do, don’t forget to try their version when you are around the area

This cafe just opened last month, and as always, excited to try new cafes, i hurriedly allotted a schedule for this visit.
The cafe, merely just a stall, is located inside Wokby4900, the owners are friends so that explains the location of the cafe.

They use beans from Bean and Barley, a mix of Columbia and Brazil, says Larry, the barista (who came from Tobys then Caravan Black) the stall is located just before you enter Wokby4900.

What’s in their menu: they have Black, White (anything with milk), and Slow (slow press). This cafe also got bestselling horchata and—

This is horchata based. What’s cool is that this drink got espresso and rum. Larry explains the drink is inspired by the rumchata (by 3rd wave ph) and dirty horchata. So Ambivert tried to mix it and came up with this. The name Jerry simply derived from the brand of rum they were using (Sailor Jerry).

I was not able to try this but, it is interesting. A drink with baileys, whisky and rum. I wonder how hard it kicks. The next glass called (one more time) only costs PhP100! I just wonder if i want a third or fourth order. (And another one?)

Something free coming up is their first Public Cupping happening this Saturday, Nov. 18, 3pm. Just look at the deets at their IG page. They will be introducing Taiwanese Beans. Larry will be hosting it.

About the place, it’s a usual party ambience outside. The cafe opens 3PM which is kinda off peak coffee cravings. You may sit either in their alfresco, aircon or private room.

Parking is a challenge; Kalayaan avenue is an option as the streets around here pretty gets fully occupied. I think they need to improve on their menu, although they serve cookies, i don’t think many people will rave horchata especially if they have el chupacabra nearby. I think i’m gonna give it a 3.6– nice job for creativity.
