They are serving drinks which are good. But they do not have foods.

I'm probably biased about this but bear with me.

In a galaxy not so far away, there exists a cafe well-suited for Star Wars fans like myself.

My girlfriend took me to this place knowing that I would just love the place. All the designs just called out to me. You'd see figurines, poster, and an overall theme of Star Wars. It doesn't dissapoint. The only take away was that the restroom was at the other side of the building, where the first store originally opened.

So I had Darthmalt (the name itself invites you to order it). It had Malteesers stuck around the rim of the glass, and the glass was placed on a wooden plate with chocolate syrup. It also had a donut on top and a stick-o. Yup I know, there's a lot happening in one drink. The drink itself was good. It might be too sweet for others though. The presentation was neatly done. It's enticing to look at. You ever felt like not touching your desserts since they look so good, that's how I felt. Hahaha. It was a little pricey though.

Overall it was a good experience for us. I'm really glad that my girlfriend brought me there.

We walked few meters from Kamputhaw after our dinner for dessert. We went to Amidala Cafe is which located at the Capitol Site, Cebu City.

Amidala Cafe is a milkshakes bar with Star Wars theme concept. Upon entry we were greeted by a big poster of Queen Amidala of Star Wars. And the famous tag line of "In a Galaxy far far away". Some Star Wars toys and collectibles were displayed in the cafe. And poster of remarkable characters of Star Wars like Darth Vader and Master Yoda.

I order my milkshake in the counter and pay it immediately. I've waited for 20 minutes before my order was served.

"The glass jar was filled with chocolate milkshake inside and nutella and caramel popcorn outside topped with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. Well, they presented the milkshake nicely and I am impressed with the flavor the chocolate milkshake. It's not that sweet and it compliments with the overloaded sweets (nutella, caramel popcorns and choco bite) around the glass."

Star Wars fan you should try this one in Cebu, I bet you will enjoy it.

So after J and I stuffed our faces with greasy fried food, we walked to this nearby cafe. It was a nice walk after all the eating. I have been eyeing to visit this place so I can write about it on |ooloo, but truthfully I’m not even a big Star Wars fan. So I waited until a true Star Wars fan went with me, and that’s the boyfriend. 128568

From what I found out online, Amidala Cafe in the Capitol, Cebu is the only Star Wars themed cafe in the Philippines! So cool! 128571

The cafe was just small. There all sorts of Star Wars artwork and memorabilia all around, so if you’re a fan like J, you would definitely (as he phrased it) geek out big time! The nicer seats were occupied already but there was a coach that looked like it was about to be finished, so we opted to get a crappy table first. 128569 We got to transfer right after ordering and just right before our drinks arrived.

I must say, their drinks here are impeccably expensive, but I guess you’re paying for the ambiance and the experience so we really went for it. J had the Darth Malt Freak Shake (PHP 250) while I had the Mint Chocolate Frappe (PHP 150). they were both really good! I particularly liked my choice of drink just cause chocolate mint is 10084. J’s drink was too sweet for me, but still it looked really good and super delicious. Everything here is totally instagrammable! 128571

I look forward to coming back here with another Star Wars fan! Might need to save for it though. 128569

Starwars, milkshakes & chocolate desserts did i miss anything? My kid's expression says it all: nakakalula! The milkshakes looked amazing and the taste fantastic! We had the Mrs. Deathstar Freakshake (topped by choco cupcake and chocolate caramel bar) and the Forcechoke Milkshake (with the pretzels and Kitkat). The deathstar had a distict strong coffee flavor (yum) and the forcechoke was super chocolatey and not watery. Whoever baked their desserts knew what they were doing and there was no scrimping on the ingredients. I think they used peppero pretzels and they rimmed both glasses with a great helping of Nutella (kind of like a yanyan dip thing going on). They also used Nutella to stick those goodies on the glass which made the entire thing a chocolate mess...wait why am I complaining? I loved licking off that ooey gooey mess. ;)

Price was P250 & P220 respectively, not bad. Staff (and I think owner) was reallly friendly and helpful. Decor with all the Starwars memorabilia: toys, posters, throw pillows, etc spoke to my inner nerd (ode to Yoda!) they really should get a bigger place as the place was packed not to mention they had good wifi, which can encourage tambays hehe

Totally going back to try the other milkshakes! :D

Chocolate overload! This is something new.
The place is small but cozy, you have to to have a good sense of timing if you want a nice area.
I like the novelty of their menu. Excellent presentation and delicous too!
The price is a bit expensive but it is worth a try.

When I heard about this cafe two weeks ago from a friend, I immediately asked my backpaking buddies to add it to our itinerary when we visit Cebu. So after having dinner at Larsian, we decided to walk from there to Amidala Cafe. (Medyo malayo pala. Lol.)

The place is very small. I think it can only accomodate around 20-25 people pero siksikan na kayo talaga. Upon seeing the toys, the Star Wars kid in me awakened and I immediately asked if we can borrow some. (HAHA)

I ordered the Wookie. There were oreo cookies on the side, chocolate cookies on the top and also on the side. Cookie overload talaga! Lol. It was good. Really really sweet.

The owner and the staff were nice to let us stay until 12MN kahit hanggang 11PM lang sila. (I think he's the owner 'cos he has a Millenium Falcon keychain and was wearing Star Wars socks. Lol.) Oh and they have free Wifi nga pala! 128539

Overall, I wish they would get a bigger place and expand their menu to pasta or sandwiches. And I didn't see any big lightsabers and x-wings or tie fighters around. But there are a looot of stormtroopers. 10024 Hihi.

Thank God for having this place. I've been a Star Wars geek since I was a kid, this place makes you gaga and won't leave.

Their drinks offers you mouth watering, pumped with mouthful of sugar so beware and check your sugar levels before you drink.

The ambiance is really settling but for unexpected circumstances, it gets full early. So I recommend to find a place bigger than the current place.

Luke will be happy to train Jedis because of this.

May the force be with you!

Star Wars fans will be ecstatic with this new quant cafe in #Cebu city. Named after the famous queen in the movie franchise, Cafe Amidala puts its Star Wars novelty at the forefront of its image. How can you not love the storm trooper wall painting that greets you when you enter?

Your inner geek will be all giddy from all the toys and figurines all around you. As for the shakes and the coffee, there's no direct connection to the Star Wars cues expect for the fact that they're uniquely complicated and out of this world. They're not your conventional simple dessert drinks - they're over the top and indulgent. Would've loved it if the drinks' names were also connected to Star Wars characters or places. That would've been a good twist to it.

As for the shakes itself, we tried the 3 different types (forgot the names so I'll describe its base mix): one chocolate base with load of pretzel twists and sticks that reminded me of light sabers, one caramel base with pop corn bits and an ice cream cone on top, and another chocolate base but combined with Oreos and soft cookies. Obviously the drinks are not for those on a diet or with borderline diabetes 128517. To be honest, the drinks were good but not note worthy. But props to the indulgence factor and the awesome set up.

Some points for improvement though:
- need to expand as place is too cramp
- have savory dishes or pastries to match the drinks
- change the ice cream base as it gets watery too quickly
- they need to adjust the lighting as its too yellow (not good for picture taking hahaha).

But overall, a must visit when you're in Cebu and if you're a Star Wars fan. The novelty of it is genius!
